Dear experts, I'm a third year Agronomy major from Costa Rica. I'm calculating degree days built up for every day in a given data set with over 7 000 observations. Each observation is an hourly average so 24 observations make for 1 day. There are around 300 days in my data set. Growing Degree Days is a measure of acumulated energy in a system during 1 day and it is calculated as follows:Max T = Highest temperature measured from 0000 to 2400; Min T = Lowest temperature measured from 0000 to 2400; Tbase = Minimum temperature required for crop growth (specified by literature)GDD = (Max T - Min T)/2 - TbaseSo, what I want to do is grab my data set, split it into 300 or so chunks of 24 observations. Out of those 24 observations I need to calculate the maximum and the minimum. With those values determined I can now calculate GDD. I would call this behavior a bug. The integral is only found if the symbolics is forced to float mode (it also happens if you use the "float" keyword).Does anybody know when it was introduced or can anybody confirm the bug in earlier versions of Mathcad than M15 M030?

Hi all!I'm trying to embed an excel file in mathcad 14 using the    insert--> component--> excel file--> "create from file" (display as icon).All I want is data from A1:A166053  (i know it is a lot of data ), this data represent the significant wave height since 1957. After I "create from file" I select 0 input and 1 output and then define the range i need. When this is done the icon appers in mathcad and I define the  name. In this case "Hs". Then the error message "The range value specified is invalid" appears...What am i missing?? Regards Sigurd Næss

Hello,I am attempting to program a simple for loop to increment a single variable in an equation and plot the equation as a function of the variable. I have attached the mathcad worksheet. The issue arises on page 3 of the worksheet. The value I am trying to find is "Sigma_max" as "e" increases from 0 to 1 in 0.01 increments. I'm sure this is easily remedied and due to my own mathcad ineptitude. What am I missing?Thanks in advance!-Ryan

I have been having problem with Mathcad Prime 3.1 crashing lately.  First, when I load my files, some random equations will be red-circled as "Unknown Error: mpl%_Exception".  (see attached image).  As soon as I start changing the values on my worksheet, Mathcad would crash.At first, I thought it might be migration issue from my Prime 2.0 file to Prime 3.1, but I realized even if I try a simple calculation in a new file, Mathcad would crash.  ex. a:=1m, b:=2m, c:=a+b=  (see attached image)I am now stuck, not being to load any of my worksheets.  Could anybody offer any suggestion or explanation?  I am running Mathcad Prime 3.1 Express, on Windows 7 service pack 1, 64bit.  Intel Core i5-3470 CPU 3.20GHz, 8 GB RAM.  I did try reinstalling the software with same result.Thanks in advance for helping out.

We use Mathcad for calculations of structural design and create a report of it to be submitted to the customers. While I have created a Mathcad file having set of calculations for standard product, there is a slightly different variant of that product that requires slightly different calculations to be incorporated than the standard one. Now, I want to standardise the template of the report such that, there will be two options (Radio buttons etc) in the beginning to select the variant, and based on the selection the set of calculations will be displayed. Thus I don't have to create two different types of template for the same product.The way of doint it can be hiding and unhiding corresponding regions/pages based on the selection of variant but I don't know how to do it.Any thoughts?

From CreoParametric 3.0 M030 you can embed a MathCAD sheet into your model. That works fine with CreoParametric, but I do not know how to make this information contained in the MathCAD sheet visible in CreoView.Any ideas?

Hi all, if I have the three variables in three equations, would you advise me how to use mathcad to express the derived expression of the variables?I have three unknown variables x,y,z, and three pre-defined values a, b and c. If I have x+y+z=ax+2y+3z=bx+3y+4z=cwould you teach me how can I use mathcad to express x, y, z as the expressions of a, b and c, instead of assigned the numbers to a,b and c then solve x,y,z as the fixed numbers? Hi all,I have a macro that takes data from Excel and places the data into a MathCAD object within Excel. The MathCAD sheet then recalculates and spits out an answer back into Excel.Here is the problem: I can open Excel, push "Run", and the data gets spit out in about 20 seconds, but if I hit Run again (whether the data changes or not), the processing time increases to about 90 seconds. Obviously this is not preferred for a lot of data.I've tried to open & close the tab in a different workbook, but then my macro doesn't recognize the MathCAD object.Any ideas on how to cut down the runtime?

My job requires a fair amount of frequency identification, so I've gotten reasonably acquainted with Fourier analysis.  Last week someone made the statement that a "Prony analysis" might be better to sort out two close frequencies (117 Hz and 120 Hz) in a five second record sampled at 2000 Hz. I started to formulate an example sheet for this analysis, using as an example a known signal.  When Prime 3.0 began to frustrate me (declaring both "Find" and "Minerr" as undefined variables after the solve block ha been happily computing for some time,) I switched to version 15 (old tried and true.)Now in addition to not being able to make sense of what Prony was doing I have two sets of answers for what is (as closely as I could mimic) the same set of math.Attached are two files; the Prime file lays out the Prony method as found in the literature.  The version 15 file is a quickly generated version of the Prime file, I've tried to keep the notation the same for ease of compariso
