Mathcad

I did not know that Mathcad 3.0 will not convert old work sheets to the proper format for Mathcad 3.0. Anyone have any knowledge on how this can be done without having to buy Mathcad 15.0?

Getting huge phase currents. The equations on the right for tt and vv are from a worked out problem from the internet the results there look ok.So I think I have the correct format for the motor currents.Could someone check me out?

Is it possible to change the keyboard shortcuts in MathCAD Prime? I'd like to make the match MathCAD 14.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help. I have set up a matrix of coefficients and one of resultants but upon using the lsolve function no results are obtained and no errors are returned. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Sorry if this was alrady mentioned, but it seems this might be mentioned here.I was confused whaen pressing equal to in order to imediate evaluate a range variable. In Mathcad 15 it becomes a vector then ???. I am surprised that I have not find this out after such a long time of using Mathcad.

I have an old version of Mathcad 13, and was wondering if anyone uses this on Windows 7 or 8 platforms. I have searched the internet, and found that some people have been able to do it, but never got a concrete answer. System requirements show that Windows XP is the minimum, but I didn't understand if it works on Windows 7 or 8. I understand that this question may have been posted numerous times, but a little help is highly appreciated.

It works just fine except you cannot create or save a new file; Mathcad just closes/crashes.Yeah, I know how old 6.0 is. I use version 13 quite a bit but want to use 6.0 on my laptop. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Is it possible to run old mathcad files (MCD) from Mathcad 7 on the free version of PTC?If so, how can I do it?

HiI have a computere with windows 7 x64 there, no matter what i do, won't run mathcad 15. The installation seems to be completed without any problems, but when i try to run the application, the splash screen shows up, but after a short period of time, the application crash without any error messages except the Windows own "Mathcad application has stopped working". I have another computer also with windows 7 x64, and here the application will start without any problems . The only differense between these computers is that the first one is a "samsung" installation width showelware and all, and computer nr. 2 is a vanilla installation of windows.I have tried the following Reinstallation of MSXML 4.0 SP.2 ---------||--------- of .Net, i can't remember the version, but it was the newest I could find.Reinstallation of the computer (with the samsung disk)But nothing seems to work. Mathcad 14 worked without any problems...I hope somebody will help, and sorry for my bad english, i´m a dane

Hi. I went for an 6 hour exam here in december and after 4,5 hours i saved my work two places on my computer to be sure it saved it properly.I then closed mathcad with no problem but when i tried to open my work again, it said it couldnt read the file and it was only 0KB large.. - i couldnt fix it in time and now i must go to re examination. I use MathCAD 14.0 - anyone else who has encounter this major issue? - i've tried it two times now with another file.plz help, i dont want to make the same mistake twice

Curious minds want to know: I am solving a simple (linear) ode for a number of various parameters. When I use Odesolve, passing the various parameters, it runs relatively slowly compared with using Rkadapt passing the parameters via the initial conditions (since I have a lot of cases to look at, using Rkadapt seems the better choice). Why is this? Is it typical?

Is it possible to perform a pseudo “vlookup” in MathCAD prime 3.0? Using the attached spreadsheet, I’m attempting to have MathCAD look for a value in the B column (W8x35 for example) and then once it finds it, have MathCAD set variable “rx” equal to value in column AP, “ry” equal to the value in column AT etc. Is this possible with prime 3.0?

Hi, For long time, I was looking for a way to convert an eqaution in the form of a string into a Mathcad equation. I thought that it can be done with Mathcad Prime 3. However, I have no programming experince with Mathcad. I have mathematical equations saved in Notepad in Windows. They are rather long equations. I don't want to manually convert them into Mathcad since it is not practical. In Mathcad Prime I have realized that if I write an equation in double quotation, delete the double quotations and replace the math operators (+, -, *, /) manually afterwards, then Mathcad treats it as equation. I was hoping that a program can be written in Mathcad Prime that takes an equation in the form of string as an input, replaces the math operators; then Mathcad Prime treats the resultant expression as equation. I want to estimate the parameters for a damped oscillator from an observed output (assuming the system acts like a damped oscillator). The attached evaluates the solution for a damped oscillator with zero initial conditions and a forcing function that ramps up to a unit value then ramps down to zero. And gives an example for assumed damping, etc. But I am interested in the inverse problem: Given only the output, how can I estimate or infer the parameters of the oscillator knowing only that the forcing function is as given? Can someone put me on to a systematic way to do this?
