Hello all,I want to solve a formula symbolically according to a ratio. Here is a simple example:Does anyone have an idea how I can solve this?I use Mathcad Prime 9. GreetingsPhilip
Hello, I am trying to run this code and plot only "U" for the augmented matrix "R". However I am getting an error R has multiple definitions. Please help! Thanks
HiI am using Mathcad 9.0. I want to find the current I1 and put the value into the second equation so that I can represent the equation in I=U/Z from. But I can do it manually and not in Mathcad. I have attached my mathcad file as well as the picture, how I want to express my model. Please provide your valuable time!Regards,Waqas
Hi, I'm currently having programming issues with converted mcxd files See attached screenshot. It's not reading PRN correctly. I have the file installed and using the read data file it finds the prn file it just won't populate the data. See attached screenshot.Any info would be greatly appreciated. The university used to use mathcad 14 and i believe when converting the file the si units are not populating either. Thanks,Josh
Hi,I am trying to solve the following problem. I am new to pwrfit function. This is the first time trying to solve such a problem.1. Select a power fit in Mathcad to fit this data and model the metabolism rate as a function of the mass of the animal. Notice that pwrfit(vx, vy, vg) returns a vector containing the coefficients for a power curve of the form y(x)= axb+c that best approximates the data in vx and vy using guess values in vg.2. Determine the R2 value for this fit.3. Considering the fit is good, use the equation to predict the metabolism rate of a 500-kg manatee.
Hello,On page 8 of the attached sheet, I am trying to build Mohr's circle. I dont know why the Ixymax, Ixymin,... on the plot are showing in red boxes. Thanks,Sam
Hi,I'm having problems with using MathCAD to extract the time at which the maximum value of a function happens. I've attached a file with the example. In the attached file, after some initial setup of parameters etc on page 1, on page two I define 2 ODEs in a solve block and solve them with ODESOLVE. This seems to work, and I have plotted the outputs in several graphs. They look as I expect. At some time I get a single peak produced on the graph of f(t). I want Mathcad to tell me at what t this peak happens. I've tried using Maximize, and this gives me incorrect answers for t. I've then tried differentiating f(t) and attempting to find the root that corresponds to the peak of f(t). This works for some sets of parameters and I thought I'd cracked it. But then I change one of the parameters slightly and root stops working, giving me the error message "The ODE solution is calculated over a limited range. Choose a value within this range or expand the range".&
I've got a 15 page document in Mathcad Prime 1.0. Items are strategically placed on the pages for readability and page breaks. However, when I save, close, and reload the file, my math and text regions seem to have all moved around; creating overlapping text regions and regions that flow over the page breaks.Anyone else seen this problem or have a tip on how to anchor these regions to the page between file opens?
Is it possible to copy part of one worksheet to clipboard and paste it in another worksheet?Seems to me it is not possible to do it like it's done for example in AutoCAD.
Hello experts, I hope the question is in the right category. I haven't been able to find an answer in the community yet. A function should be passed as an element in a program [e.g. p(f):=II…]. This function can have a different number of its own elements [e.g. f(x1, x2, …)]. How can I pass the function to the program and how can I find out within the program how many elements the function has? Thanks for your help. SW: PTC Mathcad Prime 7.0.0.0

Good morning community. I am trying to interpolate with certain conditions with repetitive data, a way to program, please if someone give me an idea. Mathcad Prime 6.0.0.0 is being used. Thank you for your attention. Translated by the Community Moderation using Google Translate ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Buenos días comunidad. Estoy tratando de interpolar con ciertas condiciones con datos repetitivos, una manera de programar, por favor si alguien me da una idea. Se esta usando Mathcad Prime 6.0.0.0. Hi everyone, I hope you are fine.I need to change the color of the result word, if it was safe to be green and red in case of unsafe.
I need to plot the intersection and return it as a value.I have lines to show minimum and ideal operating temperatures but I would like to find the cut-off temps for each of the proposed AC-DCs. I have a graph that has the output derating so the line isn't a simple ab2+c so I have to use a function. I would like to know the maximum operating temperature of the multiple power supplies. Based on a Wdc1(Tempamb). I tried using solve but this doesn't appear to work on functions. as the derating is not constant across the full operation range. see the example of the function I am using below. What is the best operation to achieve this? I have attached the worksheet for referenceI'm using MathCAD Prime 8
Hi,I am new to Mathcad and face some problems. I have attached a file in which I am trying to plot the displacement using the Piecewise Linear Interpolation method of structural dynamics. I have defined all variables and put them in the loop, but when I try to plot displacement (u) versus time (t1), I get an error "this value must be a vector".I would really appreciate it if you could help me resolve this issue.
Hi everyone. So I'm new to Mathcad and I wanted to create circle from form (x-1)^2+(y-3)^2=10, but everything that I can find about plots is way too advanced for me. Any simple way to do circle from form like this above?
Hi, Could someone explain why I can't vectorize method 2 in the attached work sheet? It returns error message "this value must be a vector". The output of both functions being multiplied seem to be vectors, so I don't understand why I can't use the vectorize function to do an element per element multiplication. Thank you,
Using Mathcad Prime 8.0.I am trying to define a variable in a matrix format, where variable has an index i= 1,2,..5.I am able to define all variables, but cannot use a single entry, let's say d5. What is the proper way of defining my variable in such case? I tried with both matrix and table, getting same, "underdefined" fail. I also would like one oth the variables to depend on the others, namely l3=h-l1-l2-l4-l5(these are partial lengths of the entire hight of construction). Can one define such variables in Mathcad Prime?
Hello,In MathCAD 15, you can use " If" and "And" to satisfy two conditions. i don't see" And" in Prime. How do i do that in Prime? Thanks,Sam
J and Big Omega are 3x3 matrices. Little omega is a 3x1. Mathcad will not solve this with the matrices defined and gets the wrong answer with them undefined. Nu should be equal to (Omega)*J*(Little Omega). Any idea why this is happening?(Mathcad Prime 9.0)
This month’s challenge is fairly open-ended: create art in Mathcad Prime. Using the Chart Component, XY Plot, Polar Plot, Contour Plot, or 3D Plot, create some kind of image that evokes the beauty of math. It can be as simple or as complex as you want. Here are a couple 2D curves I created: Here is a surface called a “monkey saddle” along with 3D Plots of its Gaussian curvature and mean curvature: Feel free to make something light-hearted and fun. Someone posted an equation for the chest symbol for a certain caped crusader online. Here is that equation adapted for the Chart Component in Mathcad Prime: One resource that I have used for my curves and surfaces is “Modern Differential Geometry of Curves and Surfaces” by Alfred Gray. Many of the equations can be adapted for graphing in Mathcad. What art can you make with Mathcad? Find the Mathcad Community Challenge Guidelines here!
After Mathcad 15 worksheet conversion into Mathcad Prime 9 I'm getting an error: Please help. Mathcad 15 did not produce an error on those matrix division.
Can i update my READEXCEL value automatically by updating my excel instead of redefining it again?
HiI need use command addline.I don't see the command addline in the PTC Mathcad Prime 9.0.0.0I had seen this command in previous versions of this program, but not nowplease guide me.
Hello, I recently updated from Mathcad 15 to Mathcad Prime (8.0) and am having a problem with certain worksheets that contain a specific type of program. Specifically, programs where the calculation is dependent upon elements from the output vector that should already have been calculated. ie x[i = x[(i-1) + y[i (sorry for the notation - can't work out how to get subscripts on this forum). I have attached a simple example worksheet of the problem. Is this type of self-referential programming no longer possible. If so can anyone suggest a work-around? Apologies if this question has been asked and answered already. I had a look using the search function but was not able to find anything obvious. Many thanks for any assistance. Ian
