Is there a way to find max values for two columns, outputted as one column in prime 9?
I'm writing this as I had to work long on a converted legacy Mathcad document to prime.Since being forced to convert legacy Mathcad documents to Prime I get from colleagues (who're proof reading my calculations) the following questions:What does EXPLICIT mean? Why don't you cut down on the surplus decimals in equations? What happened to the tidy calculation reports I used to submit? All this proves that Mathcad Prime is far from the "...professionally formatted document..." PTC claims to provide. See results in the screen shot below.
Hi, look like solving block solves the equation, but lower, it says that the variable is undefined. What am I missing?
Management has asked me some questions about MathCAD 15 that our users are refusing to upgrade to MathCAD Prime 9. We have licenses for both programs. Are there any security issues with using MathCAD 15 and the files it generates? We are working in the nuclear industry so a lot of the calculations and data used are classified and we want to be sure that nothing in MathCAD will allow that data to be inadvertently compromised. Does someone know when the End of Support date was for MathCAD 15? We can maybe use this as leverage to force the users to adapt to MathCAD Prime 9.
Hi, Can someone upload a worksheet sample on how to use Tags and internal Links Cheers Terry
Hi Guys, Can someone please simplify the final expression for fixed end moment for a point load at any point on the beam? Please see the attached file. Solution should look like below expressions of Fixed end moment Ma = -Pab^2/L^2Mb = +Pa^2 b/L^2
Hi,can someone please help me?I want to find minimum non-zero value, in col B and its respective values in col A & C. Thanks in advance.
Mathcad won't allow me to expand the attached expression into a series because of a singularity. Yet the publication shows that it can be done. Any suggestions? Please see the attachment.
I want to write in my new book like this. What do you say about it?"Mathcad has become a kind of stepdaughter at PTC. Previously, this program had a mother - MathSoft, which in 2006 sold itself and its daughter for almost $ 100 ml to PTC. Now the Mathcad program is not a separate mathematical program like Maple, Mathematica or SMath, but works as a servant of Creo CAD and gradually, alas, dies. ORIGIN Программа Mathcad стала некой падчерицей на фирме PTC. Раньше у этой программы была родная мама – фирма MathSoft, которая в 2006 году продала себя и свою дочку за почти 100 мл долларов фирме PTC. Теперь программа Mathcad не является обособленной математической программой как Maple, Mathematica или SMath, а работает служанкой у САПР Creo и постепенно, увы, хиреет.
Is there a way to maintain hyperlinks in the pdf versions of Mathcad documents?
Hello, We see that in the case of the function Test1 Arg(Test1) cuts -180deg line, as a result, we can have values for: But in the case of the function Test2 Arg(Test2) does not cut -180deg line, and this means that: or or But I get the red color: The idea is that I don't want to see this red color (although I know from where this no answer/red color comes -> because the graph does not cut -180deg line), but instead, I want to receive as answer one of the 3 options listed above. Is this possible? Mathcad Prime 8 file attached. Thank you.
Why we have 3 functions lspline, pspline and cspline? Can we have only one spline?
Trying to plot a simple X Y plot for function below. I get an error using units but none once units are removed. I'm missing something basic. Help appreciated.
Does anyone know what the internal processing limitations of MCP are w/ regards to the max processing speed and the number of cores, etc.? Same question for multithreading turned on and off. My company recently purchased a 16-core, 3.2GHz/5.0GHz 'power computer' and I would like to know how much MCP can take advantage of this machine.Thank you!
Hello everyone!I can't determine the origin of the 180-degree offset, between the two results, one in the first worksheet and the other in the second one. As for the creation of the graphs, with the interval chosen, it takes a long time (many minutes). A tip to speed up the drawing? (see photo).I enclose two worksheets dedicated to the same problem but with different methods. Thanks to whoever will answer me.
Hi allHas anyone encountered this before? In my Combobox, dimensionless inputs get units. You see the problem below. I'm thankful for any advise how to get rid of the problem 🙂
Hello, ???? How can I extend the above x(t,...) signal which is defined from -pi to pi to a periodic one so that I can display more periods of the signal, as it is shown below? Mathcad Prime 8 file attached. Thank you.
Hi, I'm having an issue where the vectors in the image below con't calculate into a result. The second image is the one where the results should be. I'm using Mathcad 20, so it's pretty old, and the original author of the workbook isn't around anymore. I can't see anything glaring and there was definitely a result from the workbook at some point. If anyyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Tom
Hello, Do I need to define the dirac delta (unit impulse) function separately to be able to use (plot) it? Mathcad Prime 8 file attached.
please I don't know how to overcome this error
Hello, Input: where is the step function: Rewriting the above result: And calculating fourier transform by definition for the above input, results: (which is the correct answer) So, where is the mistake? The 2 above results should not have been equal? Mathcad Prime 8 file attached.
Hi Mathcaders,I am alittle bit confused on how to use lookup on mathcad prime 8. problem statement:I have a table of containing Steel section name and elastic section modulus as given below: In my work, I have to calculate an elastic section modulus and match with values in the table and choose the profile with the nearest upper value. My trials:1. I used the following expression: It only compares the first digit. The answer is always AZ12 until I increasesd the calculated value to more than 2000. 2. I used the following expression ( I got it from the internet)The answer is the same as before. Any help please?
I need to increase solve speed for a large worksheet. I click the multithreading button. First, it is not clear how to detoggle the pick. Second, the CPU time went up. Under what conditions does this option work. Or is this just a vaporware feature of P8? thank you
I have generated three plots for different z or distance now i would like to compare the width of axial maximum and the width of central maximum is the value r from 0 to the point where the cure achieves zero. I want to normalies and assume the value achive r=0 and i want to divide all values of I of I(r=0) how its possible to do this in mathcad please help!
We are trying to convert MathCAD programs to MathCAD Prime 9. After the conversion the resultant graphics are not display the grid axis that the users were getting in MathCAD 15. Is this a display setting or an issue with MathCAD prime?
