Hi,  I received a file with .pkg format and I've tried using Creo Pro 5.0, Creo view express, and Creo Elements Direct Modeling express but all of those can't open the file. Can you please help me to convert it into .dwg? I'll send the file through the message. Thank you in advance!

it should be possible to show different color for identify left-hand/right-hand thread. Otherwise, the manufacturing process could be wrong.

This function can then be managed or not by a PLM. ModelManager manages PartLibrary. But, whatever the level of access right of the user, the Partlibrary part can not be modified at all (except bypassing ModelManager, which is very delicate). This aspect is the philosophy adopted by PTC. I did not find any litterature about the reason of this philosophy. Anyway, that was a big problem for me when I had to change minor things of the part (name, material, color, weight, geometry, ...). Does somebody know what it means if there is a clock symbol in front of a note?When there is a clock symbol in front of a dimension or annotation this means it's missing a reference, but this note doesn't have a reference (placed flat to screen).   

  I want to open the corresponding drawing in Annotation when I click the viewset from the Model structure . It is troublesome because the model and drawing cannot be loaded as a set from Windchill.

Hi there,I am trying to model a nose cone/end surface with G3 surface conditions (as shown in the image below/ZIP file of model attached). I am using PTC Creo 7.0.   I have sketched a number of reference lines to control the length/width/depth of my surfaces, as well as adding ribbon surfaces. All of the spines in style have G3 end conditions (including the internal influencing spline). I am seeing the error reference a lot:   "The cross curves are not connected with the same continuity as the connection"I am not sure what this error message is referring to or how I should be modelling this feature to achieve a G3 surface? If you can help me out, I would really appreciate it!

Dear all,   I'm using Creo Direct Modeling Express 8.0 and I'm not able to import Step file. I can save my 3D in step files, but I can't open a general step file created by others.   Is it there any setting to be able to open this file? If the free licence of this software is limiting this possibility, is there any designer that has found a converter to pk2 file or something like this?   Thanks for the reply. Nicola

Hello everyone, don't panic, the server is still active. Put me briefly, don't want to keep you from watching football I always wondered what happens when I draw and the 72 hours are used up. The answer is simple: nothing, I could just keep working. Then I didn't quit the program, just minimized it to the taskbar and only put the laptop to sleep by closing it. I now had Express 6 available for more than two weeks without restrictions and without a new activation. Now I switched it off and started again. As usual, I had to get an activation code. Do any of you have the need and time to try it out and then give your feedback here? It could be that the reason is maybe due to my old laptop. 😉 See you in a few days. Fig. 1 Strange and not normal: First you have to do the activation check for Express again.Fig. 2 When you are through there it comes the usual proxy name where you should press "Submit" without further input. But unfortunately you will not be redirected to the PTC page where you normaly will receive the 72 hour activation code after entering user and password.Fig. 3 You will be sent directly to enter the activation code and since you don't have it, the start is canceled.   Is there someone from PTC reading this who can help? Would be nice if the problem could be solved for us. Tried to start Creo this morning which failed. I have had this before and used manual activation, but when I try this today I get a 404 error (address is https://www.ptc.com/appserver/securePeModeling/peManualLic.jsp?lang=en&u=Niall etc) How can I start Creo?

Hello, up till now I did not yet go back to the cause of this behavior: I imagine that, based upon the way a part is modeled and possibly moved, it happens that this part, when selected, will show handles that are misaligned with respect to the principal axes (see Handles.PNG).Is there a way to modify the alignment of the handles associated with a part? Hello everybody, it is for me incomprehensible up till now how I should manage similar models saved in different pkg files. The global context is not very clear, but the present case is the following. I have two equipment; they are similar, but with different orientation of accessory parts and minor differences. One complete equipment was firstly modeled, saved as Model1.pkg. The original equipment was then rearranged and saved as Model2.pkg. When I load them together, the second one, wich (translating the message from italian)  "was already loaded before" will be "automatically shared (instead of re-loading)".That would be no problem, since it is possible to cancel sharing among groups, but the second model il loaded identical to the first. I guess some trick deal with the "physical" container of parts; but at this stage I need a workaround to load the individual models together as single entities, avoiding the automatic sharing. I'm currently setting up CED to work with our Windchill setup. While I have successfully set up the tree browser to show and pass attributes to the Workgroup manager, I'm having no such luck with passing those along to the Annotation module. By manually copy/pasting the values through the attributes menu in the Workgroup manager, we are able to fill in our title block in Annotation.    My question now is, if it is possible to somehow pass the attribute values from Modeling to the title block in Annotation without manually having to copy/paste the values in the Workgroup manager?

Hi there, can anyone tell me how I can save a BOM that I have updated in Annotator? There are a bunch of default layouts in our Annotator, but once I edit them they do not save when I close Creo and reopen.  So does anyone know how I can save the BOM out (I assume as a mi file) and where I can save it in the custom settings?  

Excuse me, sir Creo Elements/Direct has the options of Attach drawing Could you tell me when I can use Variant and Copy?What are the differences between to true copy and to variant?If I use "variant" to replace "copy", am I wrong? Or will have some influence?
