Hello to allWindchill is working on it using Creo illustrate. Previously, I was using Creo View Adapter to convert illustrater data without any problems.However, I found that it is an illustrater adapter.The document says that it converts illustrater data with this, but I don't know a separate difference.As a result, what is the difference between the Creo View adapter and the Illustrater adapter? I was wondering why the Illustrater adapter has a separate installation file.

I was wondering whether it is possible to have an interactive BOM table in creo view. The idea would be that if a user selected a part in creo view, it would highlight in the corresponding row of the BOM table (and, if possible, vice versa). Any sort of similar feature or function would also do.

I have a very large 14GB design.   I deal with sensors small things attached to structure so use a clearance filter to find it.   Once I found all the supporting mounting structure i deleted all the unused structure using the tools edit structure.  I have tried both delete viewables as well as advanced delete.There was no change.. I then deleted everything but 1 screw... Still a 14gb file... What gives I want to delete the actual items from the file not just a visible part number from the list. Please advise. 

Every callout that is put in looks like the picture. No numbers or quantity. Settings for the callouts look fine. Any ideas what causes this? 

I am using Creo Schematics 9.0 and Windchill 12.0. I want to load my central catalog in Windchill, set the Windchill path as a root folder, and access library items from Creo schematics. Is it possible? If it's not possible, what is the best solution to access the central catalog when users are located across the different geographies?

Hello;          I need to create dxf files from SolidWorks, & pull them into Creo for a cgm file output. One problem I had was the dim arrows are filled in SW & also in the dxf file, but when I import them into Creo they're not filled, thus not in the exported cgm either. The section line arrows remained filled, but all the dim line arrows were not filled. Why are the selection sets restricted to a Figure... Why are they not like groups in Creoview that way I can use them in any figure. I know i can copy them but then i have to manage the copy all indivudually based on figure. I wanna organize things by Primary Structure. fluids electrical. ect...Why do you make it so difficult?  Do you even try to use  your own program to detect these frustrations?Or add an option to make it a universal group or figure based only for organizational purposes.

We have run across multiple assembly files that have specific mate functions established in the assembly, that show how the assembly should move. When we import the file into Creo Illustrate, it appears all of those mates are removed/broken. For a simple (and non-proprietary) example, we can reference this destaco clamp animation: Destaco Clamp Animation (youtube.com) In this assembly, the movement of the plunger is controlled through the linkages that connect back to the handle. All of these mates can be established in the native CAD file. But when we import the file into Creo Illustrate, we cannot easily recreate this movement, especially for more complex assemblies with hundreds of parts and hundreds of mates.  Is it possible to keep these mates from the native CAD file? Am I importing the assembly wrong into Creo Illustrate?  

Hello, does anyone know which is the best way to orient a 3D model normal to a specific selected surface in Creo View?

I am new to Creo View and after having been used to Solidworks, I could easily view an object perpendicular to itself by using a 'View Normal' command. It could be any face such as a bolt head, a square etc. But in creo view, I am finding it difficult to view objects normally and hence I am not able to view their alignment properly as I cant find the 'View Normal' option. Can anyone please help me with this. It is very difficult rather impossible to manually orient it to view it normally. Shift +N is used in Creo Parametric but what to do to "View Normally "in Creo View.Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get a report to show only when a "Total" is greater than 1. I have a report setup for our user that gets generated when they do checkin to windchill. This report pops up showing all the Harnesses in the Design. The intent being to check that each harness has only a quantity of 1, If any harness is a quantity of 2 or more that is an issue since the harnesses are labeled with that harness name. Users many times do not look at the report since there can be multiple pages of harnesses in complex designs. An alternate thought might be is there a way to limit specific datasets to being applied only once? Since in order to get 2 harnesses, the design has the same dataset applied twice (to 2 different cables). Attaching my report for reference.

I am using Creo Schematics Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.0.0There is an issue we are facing during PDF export from CS 7.0 compared to previous version CS 3.0 (used before CS 7.0) as mentioned. (i) The exported PDF from CS 7.0 and open in Adobe Illustrator for edit text properties is automatically changing the TEXT format into DARFT format. Please refer attachment for more details. (ii) The exported PDF from CS 7.0 (15MB) file size is 3 to 5 times larger than CS 3.0 (3MB). We just wonder why this drastic file size difference from older to newer versions. Sometime, it is taking more than 5 minutes to create the PDF file on CS 7.0. We used to color the circuit/wire name based on the functionality in Adobe Illustrator (AI). For formatting in Adobe Illustrator (AI), we use the PDF file exported from the RSD file saved from Creo Schematics. We do not face any issues in the older version of Creo Schematics (CS 3.0).
