I did custom check-in my 3D model as MODELS AND VIEWABLES.  but for some reason, I'm unable view the 3D in thumbnail window - refer image. 

Does anyone have any suggestions for Windchill 12 integration for electrical data? We tried schematics with WNC Bridge, but it was very buggy and didnt work well. We are looking for something that works with schematics, autocad or solidworks electrical. Schematics would be preferred, but we are open to other software.

Hello everyone,  Can you please help me?I´d like to know, if there is possibility to create new template for ECR that will allow me to choose between two or more options, when creating an ECR.   I would like to use it for a bit different process (almost identical process wise) but with different participants.  I know, there is a possibility to create new templates for ECN (tried that and worked well), however I would need separate the two processes on ECR level.  Thank you in advance for your feedback 🙂

Hi All I was curious to understand whether it's right to create a representation from a part(that has a owner link with a CAD Doc) that is checked-out? If yes, what is the difference between creating a representation when a part is checked-out and checked-in? And I also found a difference with Create New representation wizard, when a part is checked out and I create a representation I see the 4 step wizard(Define rep, Set EPM config, Structure Type, confirm choices) when it's not checked-out it's just 2 steps(Define rep and input source)? Can you tell me how can it be done? Thanks

Through code inside the Workflow, I am able to get a specific user's object by querying their email address. I need to add that user to the Customer Role of the Problem Report so that they will be included in future tasks and notifications. So far, I haven't found any examples of this. How do I programmatically add a user object to the Customer role of a problem report? When I attach a PDF to a CAD document in PLM Windchill, I need to find out in which table of the SQL database it is stored. I want to directly add PDFs to that table using my own interface program. Can someone who knows where the PDFs attached with Attachment are stored in PLM's SQL database tell me? This way, I can retrieve that table in SQL and use it.

We want to generate the reports to analyze the Product Servicing and maintenance history report from Windchill product configurations in Windchill 13.0. Are there capabilities to generate the report with historical data of the service and maintenance logs with dates?

I'm trying to understand if customizing the Windchill Theme is a common customization - See (Customizing the Theme (ptc.com)  Do you do more than just rebranding? - Do you customize other colors - like font color? - Do you customize font size? - Do you use custom icons for the standard icons (other than custom Type icons)? - Any other similar customizations? I have a bit of code that gets the representations of WTDocs and EPMDocuments. All was working well in Dev but in Test, I am seeing an odd behavior.  Thank you @Marco_Tosin for linking that article to the qml report on CAD Doc to Representations. I am using a call like this:   //Try to find and look in the default representation (most likely place) Representation rep = RepresentationHelper.service.getDefaultRepresentation(doc); if(rep != null) { returned = processRep(fileExt, rep, ch); }   When I ran that report on my test server, only EPMDocuments that are CAD Drawings are showing up with representations when I know that all other EPMDocuments have representations as well. Stumped here. PS: Yes, representations for all items are functioning properly via UI and I can access them and see them in the interface. They do exist.

Dear all, Is it possible to use a stepped revision system in Windchill? You start for instance with component 123400A.1- Checking in give 123400A.2- You release the file, and need to get a minor update.- You do a "new-small-revision" and get 123400B.1.- You release the file and need to get a big update.- You do a "new-big-revision" and get 123401A.1 In a structure that includes this component you view based on "latest" and 123401A.1 is shown. Because there is a chance that this is not possible. An alternative:- You use the normal revise to get from 123400A.2 to 123400B.1- If you need a big revision you save as the parts and files to 123401A.1.- Because of the naming convention you know the 01 is later than the 00.- You can use substitutes  or replacements to show a user who is looking at the 00 that there is a 01 available.But if you have a structure with the 123400 how are you able to show the 123401 as the latest? Best regards,Dennis VarkevisserFlexible Engin

Hi, I am trying to add a column to a custom report that collects Task data. The new column will show the highlighted number (in this example: "00041") in the task name/description. The debug says this field is ColumnID: "displayIdentifier" coming from Row Object: wt.change2.WTChangerRequest2. Is this number only available in the ChangeRequest2 table? If so, how can it be linked to Work Item?TIA!

We are implementing Windchill in our company (11.1.) and our toolshop construction engineers are having some problems. The thing is that when they make a small change to some object - which has many relations to other objects - all referenced parts also get checked out and consequently their iteration will arise upon checking it.What they would love to see is some sort of mechanism that only exposes parts/assemblys that actually changed geometry.Why? When they make a change to the existing tool, they want to know which parts of the tool needs to be made again/corrected and which can be reused. I bet there is some sort of a solution and I would thank anyone upfront if they have any clue what are we missing.

Along with this used table IncludedIn2 and CHANGERECORD2__761153863 for links.All loading turned to be successfull.Able to see CN in UI of WC however, unable to see CA for that CN.Is there something missing to be done? Thanks in advance

Hello All! I have an assembly (created in Creo 8 )what contains two sealings. It's the same O-ring, but once it appears in its normal state, in an other location it is compressed. Originally the assembly contains 2 parts for the 2 states of the O-ring. In Windchill, it's the same WTPart, with the 2 CAD documents attached (owner and image associations). The 3D model of the CAD document looks OK, but at the WTPart, it's not, the O-rings are not placed well. Is there a way to make the representation of the WTPart to look the same as the representation of the CAD document? TIA!  

Hi, I have seen lots of improvement on MBD to show dimensions in 3D model. Similarly BOM table can be able to show using .tbl file and take print for quotation purpose.  Looking to avoid 2D drawing just to create the BOM table.
