Hi, there's a couple of articles suggesting it is possible to convert Date&Time inserted to Word document through DTI to show just Date by adding \@ "YYYY-MM-dd" to the field. https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS272094 Could someone provide the EXACT syntax how this is accomplished? Something like this maybe {DOCPROPERTY IBA|APPROVAL_DATE \@ "YYYY-MM-dd" \* MERGEFORMAT} It maybe an issue with versions of Windchill & Word I'm experiencing, but I can't rule that out.

My Creo version is 5.0, and windchill version is 11.0.When I use IE as inner browser , It is working(yes, some dialogue show : some scripts make your browser running slowly, do you want to stop running them). Are there some configurations in windchill server side not right?Would anyone know how to fix this problem.Thanks in advance! 

Using the Rest API the get the BOM of a part like this:```curl -X GET --header 'Accept: application/json' 'http://domain.com/Windchill/servlet/odata/v5/ProdMgmt/Parts('OR%3Awt.part.WTPart%3A123456789')/Uses?%24count=false'```I get results containing "ID": "OR:wt.part.WTPartUsageLink:1234567890".How can I get the part attributes of the linked part like I get them using```curl -X GET --header 'Accept: application/json' 'http://domain.com/Windchill/servlet/odata/v5/ProdMgmt/Parts?%24select=ID&%24filter=Number%20eq%20'ABC123'&%24count=false'```

  

Hello! We installed windchill and are now exploring the possibilities how to use and configure our system. Before Windchill we made a pdf of each part and assembly and made manufactering record book for our customers.We are now seeking the possibilty to have our electronics BOM seperate from our Mechanics BOM, where the "dummy" mechanic parts are just a representation of space required and the electronics BOM are fully defining the parts using WTParts. Meaning a complete E-BOM will be a mix of the two BOMs. The CAD drawing we earlier sent to our customers will with this solution only refer to dummy mechanical  parts. How do I then share our WTPart structure with our customers to show the build up of an assmbly? We dont want to force our customers over to creo view to spin 3d models for retrieving data. I tried searching the community and reseller regarding this question, but I am not able to get any useful answers on sharing data that currently are shared by a Creo drawi

So, my company is changing usernames...again. I looking to mirror those activities for PDMLink so that they not have to remember two ids. I know how to mass change the LDAP and DB to implement this change. My question is the workspace cache. I've seen cases if you login into Windchill and the local workspace cache was for a different Windchill users, it would complain. I am trying to avoid this AND not have users have to blow away their cache again. Is it possible to alter the username in the cache so it can continue working normally? Does anyone know where this is stored? 

Hi all, Looking at customizing lifecycle states in a sandbox, adding my own states, I should have access to a "Customize Modeled Enumerations panel" under Site - Utilities - Type and Attribute Management. However, I only see the usual five "Manage,,," panels. Guides tell me not to do this directly in files, but use the utility.I'm trying to find out what I'm missing, but no luck so far in PTC help pages here. Hello, I would like to retrieve the constraints of a classification attribute (Valid Range, Legal Value List, String Values, etc).I tried it like mentioned in https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS240966 PersistableAdapter persistableAdapter = new PersistableAdapter(manuPart, null, SessionHelper.manager.getLocale(),new DisplayOperationIdentifier());AttributeTypeSummary attrDesc = persistableAdapter.getAttributeDescriptor(internalAttrName);attrDesc.getLegalValueSet();attrDesc.getConstraints(); getLegalValueSet() always returns null, even though all attributes I tried have at least 1 constraint.getConstraints() is deprecated and also returns null. I tried so many different approaches, nothing worked. I found another post from last year, where the same problem was described. Is there another way to query attribute constraints, is there some kind of service for that? Thanks and best regards 

As per the original post.    Hi @cblaumeier ,   I am currently having the same issue. I am not quite sure what you mean. I tried loading all classifications branches from where the attribute lies up to the root. I also tried some other approaches but no matter what I try, I always receive null when executing .getConstraints() or .getLegalValueSet().   Could you please explain this in more detail. What exactly do I need to load before loading the attribute itself?   Best regdards

Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to roll-up an attribute value of a child back to the parent using the classification tool by using rules ?As in the diagram below, I am looking to take the "yellow" value from one part of the structure. Otherwise I have to manually edit the parent to populate the attribute.  According to CS331073, it's not possible to use alias attributes in the classification tool and I dont want to create an alias attribute directly carried on PART type. Do you encounter this problem and how to work around it?

Description-seeing the below error sometimes on several of my systems. The BGMS fails to start even though we only have one Master vault. Usually without making any changes, the 2nd restart does not have any issues.Error occured -ERROR [main] wt.method.server.startup.services - Unable to start all managers. (wt.services.servicesResource/21) wt.services.ManagerException: Unable to start manager: "wt.fv.FvService" with implementation class: "wt.fv.StandardFvService"Nested exception is: wt.services.ManagerException: (wt.fv.fvResource/518) wt.util.WTException: System property wt.fv.forceContentToVault is set to TRUE. There can be only 1 master vault and it should be on the master site. Please set the property to FALSE or add the vault.

When I check in a Creo drawing that has images embedded on it, the published pdf does not show images (though the pdf shows only Creo entities). Is their a solution I can implement, thanks  

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.2 and Datecode with CPS 11.2.1.17Upon reboot of the Azure server, we are unable to restore the services for Windchill. In checking the logs it seems there are issues with Java folder permissions. When launching the web site we keep getting a 503 error. I know this report has been posted before, but I just did a search and can't seem to find it. I'm looking to get for a given context the list of all the ACLs.I've seen Antonio's SQL, but it gives the permission mask, not the actual permissions. Not sure how to convert that.

Hello the Community. I'm trying to update the "Variance Summary Report" in JasperSoft Studio.I want to add tables that would include Attributes we added to the Variance.I understand I need to create the new Fields in the dataset.I added some to the DatasetForVRHeader and made sure to match their name with the attribute's internal name.In addition, I aslo found that those reports are relying on Info*Engine.Therefore, I updated the related .xml to include the attributes I want to display in my report.I updated tasks/com/ptc/windchill/enterprise/change2/reports/VarianceSummaryHeader.xml and ChangeItemSummaryHeader.xml.  (tomcat and Info*Engine caches were cleared)When compiled, the report seems not to understand the changes I made (the added attributes are displayed without value).Does anybody succeeded in making chenges to those "Info*Engine" generated reports ? Regards.François

Hi In our company we are using numbering in this format: xxxxxxx-FITTED1, xxxxxxx-FITTED2, xxxxxxx-FITTEDn. for various shapes of the same product. Like for example a tape padding or wires. The title of each instance may not be always the same either.  Can anyone advise how to:1) merge all entities of *-FITTED to one part "xxxxxxx" on the drawing board BOM table? 2) sum up the quantities (each) or cutting lengths (mm)? Many thanks to all in advance.   

Windchill PDMLink 12.1.2 Changed the code inside the workflow expressions, and need to assign the new workflow iteration to a part that has the old workflow iteration already running. But without start the workflow over.  Need to keep the same workflow point execution for the new workflow iteration.How can I do that?
