Hello everyone, Our IT department is shutting down all eVPN access due to cybersecurity concerns. Until now, this was the method we used to connect external CAD designers (for co-design on projects or subcontracting) to our internal Windchill database—either via ProjectLink or directly through PDMLink, depending on the use case. Is anyone else facing a similar issue? Do you have any suggestions or alternative solutions? Here’s what we’ve tried so far:Virtual Machine with Creo installed: Unfortunately, the performance was too poor—too slow to be usable.Creo+: We considered this option, but compatibility with our current Windchill setup is problematic. Hi All, I am trying to build a Part Structure Iterator module that recursively iterates a Part structures and returns all the parts under them using the combination PartBuilder and Navigation Criteria. I found this quicker compared to WTPartHelper.service.getUsesWTParts. Now I want to customize it further by adding methods that return only leaf nodes(parts that do not have any children) and parts of a specific type. Anybody got any simpler solution? like playing with Navigation criteria?

Hi teamI tried 'Change Monitor' and getWindchill JSP Exception Nested exception is: java.lang.NullPointerException Change Monitor is available in Browse->recent products->some-product->Change Monitoror similarly by libraryor under Changes (between Recent Programs and Organizations)There are several report templates which seem to be part of the 'out-of-the-box Change Monitor' but they were not enabled. Got a strange one. This is impacting production and I know it was working last week. It does not matter which context and I can confirm this that multiple users get same error message when trying to access Change Monitor. When I looked this up, knowledge base articles talk about upgrades and upgraded OOTB change monitor reports. This a system that has been upgraded since 7.0 so its got history.   I have been looking into Problem Reports and building some new Query Builder reports to assist. I check and I did not accidentally touch those OOTB reports, all exist and I can run them successfully from Site Reports. Interesting that when I ran them to test, it now shows upgraded but middle column is modified date which has not changed recently. I know these were working last week. What changed over weekend is DB patching which does appear to have been successful. We added some customizations which needed to have tomcat cache cleared. I am using Windchill Aerospace & Defense Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.0I was assigned as the Materials and Process Engineer responsible for a CR. When i tired to reassign the M&P Engineer to a team member, it assigned someone else instead. That person has shared that misassignments has occurred multiple times and we believe it may be a technical issue. I would like to reassign correct the Materials and Process Engineer.

Version: Windchill Risk and Reliability 13.0 Subject: License Recognition Issue After PTC Website UI Update Case Description: After installing the newly issued license file, some modules that were previously available are no longer activated. Detailed Description: I was previously using a license that included all modules. However, after the recent change to the license-related UI on the PTC website, the newly issued license no longer recognizes the Prediction, Weibull, and ALT modules, and therefore these modules are not activated.Although the new license file contains entries for the Prediction module, the module does not appear when the program is launched. Suspecting it might be an issue with the FlexLM version, I updated to the latest version and ran the program again. However, the issue remains unresolved. A prompt resolution to this problem would be greatly appreciated. I have attached a screenshot to help illustrate the issue.

I came across an interesting case that I did not see documented anywhere. Hi.I have a three-step wizard. On first two steps user can select wtparts and wtdocuments. On last third step the tree is created from previously selected objects.If user returns to first or second step to change selection of documents, how to refresh the third-step tree with new data?Thanks.

Surprised I was not able to easily find this. I was successful at exporting and importing my custom groups but I would have expected that when I exported the navigate_view_named_group or navigate_contribute_named_group and tried importing them to my new server, it did not like this. I get that this is an OOTB group and there might be some restrictions around it.  I have hundreds of users I need to populate to these groups so what's the recommended solution?  We certainly aren't expected to manually load all these users in one by one right?

Hi folks, I am looking into the possibility, need and touchpoints to integrate Windchill and MES. If anybody has done the same, could you share some light on the recommended middleware, and what should be the framework one should follow to do the integration. Thanks. 

Our NASA recently put SentinelOne virus protection on our production and test/dev servers. We have experienced some random issues with our Oracle database and Java runtime VM crashes. We also notice when the VM crashes, it wipes out the shortcuts to the Windchill shell, as well as overwriting the windchill.exe file to 0 bytes.
