Hello PTC Community,I am working on a project in Windchill and need to enhance the functionality of the "New Multiple Documents" window.Scenario:Open Windchill and navigate to a product.In a Windows Explorer window, select files you wish to import into Windchill.Drag and drop the files into the Windchill interface.The "New Multiple Documents" window appears.Problem:The current window does not display all the attributes I need to assign during the import process. I would like to include additional attributes in this screen to ensure all necessary metadata is properly captured.Requirement:I am looking for a way to achieve this without using any customization. I do not want the link to carry forward on check-out/check-in of object A. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.11I want to create part object subtype in windchill through thingworx application. For this creation I have to use 3 endpoints in single request that are uservalidation, attribute_validation, create Object. To do this I believe that in ODATA I can use batch request. But finding some difficulty that where to save that Json/js files which consist of the batch request and all. If I can get a stepwise procedure, it may help me to do the requirement. I want to use some OOTB endpoints and some custom.

Hello, I have a requirement where I need to populate the Resource pool of a workflow task based on an attribute, say location, selected by the user at the time of creating a Change Notice. For example, if the user has selected the location as Spain, the resource pool of a set-up participant task should be updated with Spain group for a role. Version: Windchill 13.0   Use Case: Not able to publish new check-ins. Description: CreoView Adapter 10.1 has been up and running since October on the Windchill 13.0.2 server. Updated to Windchill 13.0.2 CPS03 last Friday and CreoView was still publishing. Suddenly this morning, it failed and it will not restart. I have even rebooted the Windchill server to see if that would allow the publishing to resume. No jobs  'stuck' in publishing mode, but a few parts that were checked in are waiting for images to be created. This is the email message fro mWIndchill: Windchill Visualization worker <SERVER.DOMAIN>-PROE:1 failed to start and has been disabled.  

Version: Windchill 12.0   Use Case: I have a workflow where the user adds CAD models to a Package, and then the workflow will publish those to STEP. Right now only the master representation is published. I have a new request for the ability to specify the Simplified Representation used for the publish. There could be any number of CAD models in the Package. Description: The dream would be to present the user with a table (in a task?) where the first column is a list of the models they requested, and the second column has a a drop-down where they select the representation to publish for that specific model. Even without the complexity of a dropdown, I can't think of a good way to manage multi-valued paired data like this. Has anyone faced something similar and found a good solution?   I appreciate any ideas!

After checking in a technical drawing I drew in the NX CAD program to the Windchill PLM system, when I get it as a PDF from Windchill, it gives the PDF of the old versions. I can't get the current version. Right now, I have a solution by saving the PDF of the drawing to my desktop in NX. However, I want other departments in the company to get the correct and up-to-date PDF version in the Windchill PLM system. How can I solve this problem?

Hello,   We're trying to create a front-end configuration tool based on data in windchill. This data consists of a configurable part with a set of components which have expressions on them. Based on the choices made in the optionset you can 'configure' your new part.To create this front-end we'd like to fetch the configurable part and its BOM, the assigned option set with its options & choices, and the associated include/exclude/conditional/.. rules that go with this option set.   Getting the configurable part is pretty straight forward with the REST services (1.7), but the optionset with options,choices and rules proves more difficult as I can not find the right API endpoints. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

We want team members to review certain documents on a schedule.  Has anyone worked out a slick way of managing the periodic review process in Windchill?  For example, we might have a procedure that should be reviewed annually.  Right now, we put a (future) review date on the document.  Then we use a saved search to find all the docs where the review date is 5 days in the past to 30 days in the future.  Then an admin initiates a Design Review workflow to send it to the right people.  After review, the admin updates the date to next year.  Our saved search could be converted to a report and then we could use a data monitor that runs on the first day of the month or something, but still not elegant. Has anyone figured out a better way to trigger periodic review of specific documents?

Hi All,I have created a new soft type of a document which is for requests of various types. I have set up an OIR so that it is created in a certain folder. The only problem is the user has to select the "Autoselect Folder" option under the location when they are creating a document of this type. Is there any way to make it so that they do not have the option and it is automatically created in the folder I have specified?Regards,Toby
