Version: Windchill 12.0 Use Case: What happens to alternates of an obsoleted WTpart?Description: We have a WTPart which represents a packaging item. It is used in approximately 40 different BOMs. If we set up an alternate for this part, when it goes obsolete, will the alternate always remain the part the BOMs will reference? We are trying to avoid touching all 40 BOMs.

I need to customize a new menu bar under Reports, but it has not been successful. Could you please advise on the correct creation process? Thank you

Furthermore I could not find it in the documentations how to do that. Do you have any hints or advice how can I do that?In addition, I am looking for exporting CAD structures in STEP AP 242 file format also. Several releases ago, Windchill introduced the concept of “Flexible Links” that allows the network of Change Management objects to be configured based on the rules and practices of your company. Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: I am trying to add new calculated attributes to the table "Subscriptions" on the Windchill homepage.Description: My idea was to first add these new attributes to the type "wt.notify.NotificationSubscription" and then override the subscriptions-table and add these attributes via code. However, I ended up in a quite confusing situation - the elements in this table are of type "com.ptc.core.subscription.subscriptionObjects.NmCompositeSubscription" which is not available in the Type & Attribute management. But when opening elements of this table they are suddenly of type "wt.notify.NotificationSubscription". The problem is, that I thus cannot add these new attributes, as only the type NotificationSubscription is available in the Type & Attribute Management but apparently this is not the underlying type the table uses. Meaning, that the table does not show any values for these new attributes, but when opening such an element in t

Hi, I have re-allocated the component to the different operation, however it is failed. Followed below steps:Step 1:Created Process Plan (PPL00123) , there are operations in the structure (0111, 0112, 0113 etc..,), allocated component to operation 0111. Pushed to SAP >>> Succeeded. I can see allocated component into "AddedOprBomAllocatedParts"  this tag of XML with operation 0111.Step 2: Revised Process Plan and operation, removed the allocation from 0111, Allocated component to operation 0112., removed the operation 0111 from the process plan structure.  pushed to SAP >>> it is failed. I can see the allocated component into "UnchangedOprBomAllocatedParts" tag of XML. with operation 0112.  If I do not remove the operation 0111 from Process plan structure, it would succeed. Should re-allocated be available in the  "changedOprBomAllocatedParts" tag of XML? or Am I missing something?Can someone please help ? &nb

Hello everyone, I am seeking help in regards of integration of Altium to windchill as my Bachelor Thesis. I started with the REST interface to windchill and tried using some basic tasks like creating parts, documents etc. using Windchill REST services UI and through Postman. The problem is now i want to create assemblies and ECAD data from Altium and I have no success.I would be thankful if someone can recommend me some resources or hint or have some guidance regarding this. I want to mention here that I already have access to Windchill REST service documentation and i am taking guidance from there. I am beginner and seeking for valuable suggestions.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.0I created a custompicker data utility to search for parts of selected softype & was able to bind the datautility to IBA in Part creation wizard. From Create wizard, on clicking searchpicker the results are generated as expected & able to select a result. But when clicking 'OK', getting error "ReferenceError: CustomPickerInputComponentCallback is not defined". The custom pickercall back is defined in custom.jsfrag & deployed as per CS71276 & windchill-all.js also got updated as expected. Fllowed CS29555 to clear cache as well, but error is still persisting. Note : The datautility is working fine when OOTB pickercallback is referred in datautility.1.
