Hi, I'm new here. Maybe this issue has a common, easy answer.Creo will not open any assemblies, or create any new ones. It doesn't explain why, either. You can click on assembly files to open them, or create new ones, name them, and click 'create' or whatever, and then nothing happens. The issue is with Creo Direct 2.0 Has anyone run into this before? Thanks!Jack
I recently installed the student version of Creo 2.0 and I tried to run Creo Parametrics 2.0, but I keep getting a notification from windows that Creo Parametrics 2.0 stopped working and I am forced to close the program. I am unsure why Creo Parametrics 2.0 stopped working.Attached is the picture that I see on the screen of my laptop.
Hello, I downloaded Creo last year when I had access to really hi-speed wifi, as I didn't know when I would actually be taking the Creo class. Now I need to use the software and while it worked last week, now apparently, the license expired on the 28th of August. I don't have access to download the 4 gig file again. (I'm on online student using satelllite speeds). Can I renew my student license without completely uninstalling and redownloading the whole thing?
Hi,>I have used creo to map our school campus (buildings / ovals / courts />walkways) etc. I have been advised to now create a flythrough or path>based animation.> >What are these?>How do i go about it?> >Thanks Sam>

Hello, I would like to know how to properlyy upload any images to creo. I tried to upload the image attached to Creo but for some reason, it ALWAYS fails to load. Is there some kind of restriction I am unaware of? Do I need to change the file format? ThanksJason
Who is the PTC UK Schools Curriculum Manager now?Do we have any programme left in the UK? The PTC site seems to be USA academic only now?Rgds,James
We were looking into a metor question about creating a true 3D representation of a chain drive this week, and I wanted to share the outcome of that investigation. Modeling a chain drive is a frequent FIRST question, but is often not addressed properly. The following YouTube video will show you how to sketch the centerline of the chain drive around the sprockets, create a datum point pattern along the curve and then assemble the chain links including a "flexible" master link to accomodate for the different in the sum of the links vs the total length of the chain.Chain model with Pro/ENGINEER
I have downloaded the creo 2.0 student edition, after installing when i open software the error is came, fatal error and software is not open , please anyone tell me what is the solution or how to fix it? Foloowing snap shot is the window of that error
I have a laptop that I take to school and a workstation I use at home, can I install the student version on both computers? Can I use the same download and license?'Creo 2.0Thanks
Before I sent my laptop to the company for repairs, Creo Parametric 2.0 Student worked perfectly. When I got my laptop back one of the first things i did was re-run Creo Parametric, and It gave me a warning message saying that it was unable to use my licence or something. That is no longer an issue but the issue now is that it doesn't have "write access". I'll attach a picture.
We installed MED-100WIN-CD-390_M110_Win32-64 on a Windows 8.1 laptop ultrabook (ideapad, corei5 processor). Installation seemed to go perfectly well and said that Parametric and Direct both installed successfully. However, there is no exe file for either found on the computer when done. Searching the harddrive, it seems that the files are there in: C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 2.0\ however, there is no exe file. We tried installing it multiple times, same result. Please help!
I tried to install Creo 2.0 but each time stoped at "Applications" step as the installation was not listing applications. I tried the following steps as described below. Step 1: Downloaded the "Creo2_setup.exe" and double clicked on it. Step 2: Selected "Install new software" and pressed "next" at the right bottom corner Step 3: Accepted license agreement by selecting "I accept the license agreement" and pressed "next" at the right bottom corner. Step 4: Entered my user name "mxislam2@wichita.edu" and password and selected "Log In" Step 5: Entered my product code in "Install Licensing" and license file was available in "License Summary" and pressed "next" Step 6: Applications step. The applications were not populating and "install" button was grayed out and I was stopped there. I tried couple of times with rebooting but couldn't change anything. Please help me to solve this.
On, 24th August 2014, after installing Creo 2.0 student edition when I started the "Creo Parametric 2" it gives a error message like below "Fatal error encountered. A traceback has been written to C:\Users\Public\Documents\traceback.log Please send it to Technical Support" Please help me to solve this so that I can use Creo 2 smoothly.
Hi,I just started Engineering Design course this semester and I'm trying to download Creo 2.0. The problem is, I have a Mac, does Creo 2.0 only run on Windows? Thanks,Sherry
Saw this fancy video on the youtubes.....It's one of the main reasons I'm considering switching all of our design from SW to Creo 2 since we still use a spaceframe chassis. The problem I'm having is when I go to insert profiles, I get an error saying that the profiles that included with the software were created with a commercial version of the software. So it makes sense that the profiles won't load since EFX uses profile information stored in a part file. I have no problem with that...I can make my own profiles and have done so many many times in SW- I just don't know how to create my own profile in EFX since the custom profile folder is off-limits to me, and there don't seem to be any tutorials on the subject after searching for some time now. Thanks for any help!Trent
Hello All, Don't laugh.I have the Student Edition of WF5 and had to install a new network card. Now WF does not run. I get a pop-up window that displays the license server is UP.The subsequent line is: Warning: (-3) No license server system for this featureThere is a license server manager / vendor daemon running but its for other vendors.I re-installed WF 5 using the product code and my ID but had the same net result.Any help would be appreciated to get this install up and runng.Best regards,Ricardo
Good evening together,I am writing here because I have a serious problem to install pro engineer / creo 2.0 on my new computer.I just startet my studies in Germany at the AKAD University for which I need the programm installed. The University supplied a CD/DVD with the programm - however the installation does not work because the system immediately creates an error message saying that coretools_sh.dll is missing. I short search with my good friend google showed that it is not a good idea to just download dll files from any site. But I need to install creo 2 somewhow. The System I am trying to install the programm on is windows 8.1. I am getting to the end of my computer/IT knowledge and don't know what else to do since I already followed 3 online "tutorials" which should fix the problem but didn't.I appreciate any kind of help.Thank you in anticipation!
We are trying to see if our mentor can download Creo so he can help us out with our designs even when he cannot make it to the meetings. Is it possible for him to download Creo or is it student-only?
Has anyone seen the new Transformers movie yet? Just watched it last night. Awesome. Here's the trivia question. Which FIRST FRC team picked a cameo during the scene in the barn/workshop?
