This year's FRC KOP comes with (2) new items. Just in case anyone is looking for them, they are not in the PTC CAD KOP yet. I'm hoping to find them in my team's KOP tonight and start working on them ASAP.EPB-Pabst Ice Cube Cim Motor CoolerNextGen robots Cim Cooler 180 & Cim Cooler 36008-JAN-2014: Added CAD attachments09-JAN-2014: Updated mabuchimotor w/PTC_COMMON_NAME and added -3 of hx0k-012_small.asm w/no motor.
Hi Folksjust tried doing the walkthrough for the Mould cavity and came up with this problem 'Cannot merge a packaged component. select again'. now the parts have been made up in a mould form ie. base (mould1A), part and top (mould2A) but it wont let me form the cavity. Now it must be something pretty obvious but I can't figure it out.can anyone please help?Jeremy

I am very new to Creo 2.0 and I am having trouble importing a drawing from Autocad that includes Blocks. When I import a .dxf into Creo all the blocks are individual lines. Is there a certain method that should be used when importing different formats from other drawing software, i.e. Solid Edge, Autocad, etc., into Creo 2.0 in order to maintain all the attributes as they were in the original software used to create the drawing?
Attached is a worksheet that should help teams build their shooters

If so, download these Creo View files to see where all the components go! Its much quicker to open the Creo View files and move them around to see what goes where in the long and wide chassis configurations. Want to do the same for your robot design? Just pick save as from the File tab and chose Creo View (PVZ) from the Type menu. If you remembered the "cool" stuff from Robotalk, you'll know you can email that PVZ to yourself and open it on your iPod, iPhone or iPad with the Creo View Mobile app so you can show your firends and family what you're team is working on. (sorry, still no Android app yet)Don't have Creo View? Hmm, must mean you're not using Windchill. Creo View is only available as a FREE download via Windchill
This is the official game animation for the 2014 FIRST Robotics Competition game, Aerial Assist. The game was announced Saturday, January 4, 2014. For more information, check out http://www.usfirst.org/frc (view in My Videos)
Hi,I have heard of the non-academic customers getting build code in M090's. How come we are still on M070?I could not regenerate some features of the 2014 KOP when loading the chasis.BTW: I'm on Windows 8.1 Pro with Media CenterThanks,Luke DaviesTeam 2220: Blue Twilight member
Hi everybody. I am part of my school's RWDC team, and am having trouble fully opening the RWDC parts files on Creo Simulate 2.0. When I open the assembly of the model, it gives me a message that says, "unable to get required Creo simulate license. Please contact your sales representitive."Here is a screenshot of the problem.Do I really need to contact a sales rep? Or can I fix this by myself ? Thanks.
Hello, I've downloaded the "MED-100WIN-CD-390_M070_Win32-64" zip file, twice, from the website url https://www.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp . I face the same problem once again. The zip file is said to be incomplete. Here is an image of it when i try to extract it. Please help me with it. Thank you
I am a high school student and my robotics team is using Creo to build our CAD-version robot. I've had two laptops from Catepillar and each one has worked for a bit, then will, for no reason, stop working. I can log on to the server, but then I can't pull up my workspace or the team's cabinets. The browser on load to the point in the picture, then not load any further.Note: I did try to downgrade to IE 10, but that hasn't fixed the problem.
Happy 2014 Everyone! Please, can someone share the secret to making a purchase on PTC's eStore? No visable "Add to Cart" button/link on item pages. Everything seems to work except a means to make the purchase.I've tried different browers and different computers... ...Hmmm... ...is the store abandeoned? Pages do not appear to be current. Has the store been farmed out to another third party? All links on PTC's site guide me back to the same dead store pages.Any direction to a live eStore is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hello,I have a project for my study in school. I designed all of elements in Creo Parametric 2.0, and I'd like to make a video to demonstrate the order of assembly. I tried to download Creo Elements Pro Schools Edition, I succeeded to install it but I can't open it. Could you help me?Thanks!
Hello,I downloaded and installed a student version of Creo (parametric).Everything is fine, except the graphic interface, that is missing.I can draw, i can extrude ... , i see it in the tree, but i don't see what i'm doing (2D or 3D result).I even exported it in PDF, then i saw what i did. So everything is right, but i can't see what i'm doing... and it's a little bit annoying.Does anybody got an answer, or an idea to help me?Thank you!!!Franck
Hi guys,I'm stumped. I was working with the Team 1671 this evening and they had two machines that would not bring up a Windchill workspace in the internal Creo browser. One was a Windows 8 machine with IE 11, so we switched it to the Mozilla browser, but had no luck. The other was a Mac running Windows 7 with IE 10 or 11, so we switched it to Mozillla and still had no luck.We also tried the "web_browser_in_separate_window", but that didn't work either.I opened up Creo 2 M010 on my personal PC and it had no problem with the Workspace, but it did show a website certificate expired.Any ideas?Josh
Now called 'Automata', this Cam Toy tutorial has been fully updated There are new sections on shaped cams and driving the mechanism with a servo motor. We show the graphing tools in PTC Creo being used to display displacement against time. For the first time we provide sample models that can be added to he mechanism.
An electric guitar lends itself to parametric modelling. This top-down model was developed to allow the scale length to be changed. The frets are then located mathematically. With the help of Boxford, all the parts were CNC machined and laser to construct the finished guitar.A zip of the PTC Creo model is attached.
Some suggestions regarding solving or at least lessening graphics issues with Creo2.You will probably need adminatrstors rights to make these changes.
Are there incompatibilities with Windchill and IE 10? It is working sometimes... and then not other times. We can access and files in Windchill from Creo. But the activity of uploading or checkin work some times and not other times. We have Google Chrome on the PC... if there is an option to define that as the browser CREO uses. Attached is view where we were able to check in 3 of 5 parts\assemblies. We are able to open the assemblies in the work space. Attached are some screen views of the situation with some of the parts\assemblies uploaded... and some not. I tried setting the windows_browser_type = mozilla_based_browser... and this option does not work with IE 10.
Hi guys,I was trying to point a FIRST Lego League team to the PTC education page, but couldn't get there from the PTC homepage.Thought you might want to know.Josh

The key to rendering transparent objects is setting up the room or environment. This PTC Creo model of a wine glass has an HDRI image applied as an environment. A YouTube video by Huu Huynh explains how to apply HDRI images in PTC Creo.Take a look at this video from Huu on modelling a cut glass pattern.
