Hi everybody. I am part of my school's RWDC team, and am having trouble fully opening the RWDC parts files on Creo Simulate 2.0. When I open the assembly of the model, it gives me a message that says, "unable to get required Creo simulate license. Please contact your sales representitive."Here is a screenshot of the problem.Do I really need to contact a sales rep? Or can I fix this by myself ? Thanks.
Hello, I've downloaded the "MED-100WIN-CD-390_M070_Win32-64" zip file, twice, from the website url https://www.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp . I face the same problem once again. The zip file is said to be incomplete. Here is an image of it when i try to extract it. Please help me with it. Thank you
I am a high school student and my robotics team is using Creo to build our CAD-version robot. I've had two laptops from Catepillar and each one has worked for a bit, then will, for no reason, stop working. I can log on to the server, but then I can't pull up my workspace or the team's cabinets. The browser on load to the point in the picture, then not load any further.Note: I did try to downgrade to IE 10, but that hasn't fixed the problem.
Happy 2014 Everyone! Please, can someone share the secret to making a purchase on PTC's eStore? No visable "Add to Cart" button/link on item pages. Everything seems to work except a means to make the purchase.I've tried different browers and different computers... ...Hmmm... ...is the store abandeoned? Pages do not appear to be current. Has the store been farmed out to another third party? All links on PTC's site guide me back to the same dead store pages.Any direction to a live eStore is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hello,I have a project for my study in school. I designed all of elements in Creo Parametric 2.0, and I'd like to make a video to demonstrate the order of assembly. I tried to download Creo Elements Pro Schools Edition, I succeeded to install it but I can't open it. Could you help me?Thanks!
Hello,I downloaded and installed a student version of Creo (parametric).Everything is fine, except the graphic interface, that is missing.I can draw, i can extrude ... , i see it in the tree, but i don't see what i'm doing (2D or 3D result).I even exported it in PDF, then i saw what i did. So everything is right, but i can't see what i'm doing... and it's a little bit annoying.Does anybody got an answer, or an idea to help me?Thank you!!!Franck
Hi guys,I'm stumped. I was working with the Team 1671 this evening and they had two machines that would not bring up a Windchill workspace in the internal Creo browser. One was a Windows 8 machine with IE 11, so we switched it to the Mozilla browser, but had no luck. The other was a Mac running Windows 7 with IE 10 or 11, so we switched it to Mozillla and still had no luck.We also tried the "web_browser_in_separate_window", but that didn't work either.I opened up Creo 2 M010 on my personal PC and it had no problem with the Workspace, but it did show a website certificate expired.Any ideas?Josh
Now called 'Automata', this Cam Toy tutorial has been fully updated There are new sections on shaped cams and driving the mechanism with a servo motor. We show the graphing tools in PTC Creo being used to display displacement against time. For the first time we provide sample models that can be added to he mechanism.
An electric guitar lends itself to parametric modelling. This top-down model was developed to allow the scale length to be changed. The frets are then located mathematically. With the help of Boxford, all the parts were CNC machined and laser to construct the finished guitar.A zip of the PTC Creo model is attached.
Some suggestions regarding solving or at least lessening graphics issues with Creo2.You will probably need adminatrstors rights to make these changes.
Are there incompatibilities with Windchill and IE 10? It is working sometimes... and then not other times. We can access and files in Windchill from Creo. But the activity of uploading or checkin work some times and not other times. We have Google Chrome on the PC... if there is an option to define that as the browser CREO uses. Attached is view where we were able to check in 3 of 5 parts\assemblies. We are able to open the assemblies in the work space. Attached are some screen views of the situation with some of the parts\assemblies uploaded... and some not. I tried setting the windows_browser_type = mozilla_based_browser... and this option does not work with IE 10.
Hi guys,I was trying to point a FIRST Lego League team to the PTC education page, but couldn't get there from the PTC homepage.Thought you might want to know.Josh

The key to rendering transparent objects is setting up the room or environment. This PTC Creo model of a wine glass has an HDRI image applied as an environment. A YouTube video by Huu Huynh explains how to apply HDRI images in PTC Creo.Take a look at this video from Huu on modelling a cut glass pattern.
Hi everybody !It's now two days that i search all the way to find a solution to install Creo 1.0. I want to install the school version i'm following the process that the help gives you. The trouble is that when i'm downloading Creo 1.0 License utility i can't make it run my computer show me two possibility : The installation is made correctly (if i press it nothings happen) Make a reinstallation (if i press it well nothing happens too !)I'm getting a bit crazy because then i can't create my PTC account and then i can't use it,I need it for my school project so if you can give me some advice i would be grateful !Have a good day and see you soon !Magdaléna
How do you put in the zooming capabilities of the sensor payload into the worksheet?
How are you doing test simulations in Creo 2.0, because when we open up PTC Simulate it says we do not have the proper license. Is there any other way to simulate in PTC Creo 2.0 or another softwear?
Hello,I have one of my students who installed Creo onto his laptop, a HP Pavillion dv6 running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. Program apparently installed without any issue, though now every time he boots Creo the web page that opens when the program runs cannot be closed. See screen shot below. Can select new and create a new part, the model tool bar opens and you can select extrude or what ever. Apparently the program is operating with the exception that the web page cannot be closed and is as a consequent hiding everything behind it. Is there a setting we've missed? Any suggestions please?regardsIan
So, do we get 2 points for each survey done?Or do we get 2 points per team? Thanks.
I am a mentor for team FRC 3173 - IgKnighters. We very much want to use Winchill to share Creo CAD files. I am having troubles loading a first CREO CAD file into Windchill for others to access. I am able use the CREO Server Management function to log into the Winchill server. I am not able to get the Red arrow pointing to the server but rather a blue square shows up on the Server Management sub screen. I can see the Windchill file structure in CREO... but am not able to save any thing to the work space... View the Workspace in CREO... or upload\checkin any parts into Windchill for others to access. I have watched the Robotalks several times... and can not figure out what I am doing wrong. Is it possible for PTC to log into our Windchill site to confirm that some one can copy a CAD file to our Windchill site? Our site is" FRC 3173 - IgKnighters. Attached are some screen shots. I am a project manager on the site... Is there possibly some type of a role that I additionally have to add mys
Hi,I have Creo Parametric 2.0 running on Windows 8 Computer. I have enabled the option "afx_enabled" but I do not see the Framework Tab after restarting the program. I cannot acces the Advanced Framework Extension. Any tips?Thank You
I've recently been trying trying to price out new drive train options (the new COTS parts released by Vex Robotics). If it's relevant, my process for these files is typically to download the .step file from the VexPro website, then generate an assembly. After I've generated the assembly, I go in and assign weights, colors, etc. to all the parts, as well as reassembling the assembly in order to make sure the constraints are all right. My problem is that after I've gone through this process, I cannot generate a BOM for the assembly. When I try to do so, Creo throws a "Cannot open output file" error. I really don't know why this would be so, as I've successfully generated BOMs in Creo parametric before.Any suggestions for what the problem is and how I can fix it?
This hot rod model uses the Scalextric4Schools parts pack and is designed to be 3D printed. There are three RP parts in the PTC Creo design; the rear body (blue), front body (red) and V8 engine (chrome). You will probably use a single colour for both body parts and maybe black or white for the engine.Notes: Building the blue body piece upside down and the red body piece right way up should minimise support material. The V8 engine will need support material for the exhausts whichever way it's built. The windshield frame can be made from 1mm wire e.g.a paper clip. The assembly sequence should go something like this:Hold large white contrate pinion inside the rear body (blue), pass the rear axle through the hole in the side of the body into the contrate and out the other side. Make sure the contrate covers the splines in the middle of the rear axle.Press the small white pinion, shoulder towards the motor, onto the end of the motor spindle to cover the splines.Offer the motor int
