What product version are you running?3.2Describe the ProblemWhen looking at Codebeamer ideas, sometimes the behavior is hard to reproduce so it would be nice to know what environment they are experiencing their issue that led to the desire to submit an idea. Are you using a work around?Nope, don't have access to the required hardware/software variances. What is the use case for your organization? As a PTC Community member, I would like the ability to better help others on this forum. What business value would your suggestion represent for your organization?Improving our ability to contribute to the PTC ecosystems by helping others and enriching the ptc community experience.Do you have an idea how this problem could be solved?Add fields to the form.
I’m seeing a weird behavior where the forum doesn’t seem to “register” that I’ve logged in after it has demanded I do so. For example, I am browsing the forums and see a post I want to respond to. I can’t until I log in. So, I do so. However, the post I’m trying to respond to continually demands I log in before I can post, even though I have already. Something is amiss.Could this be because I denied the cookie writing?Secondly, when I’m looking at posts, and there’s one written in Mandarin, or Czech, or any other language I am unfortunately not able to read, if I am not logged in to my account, the forum will not translate for me. I guess I could copy and paste the text of the post to an external translation to decide if it’s something I’m interested in, but I probably won’t. If I do log into my account, it still won’t translate for me on the post which originated the login demand.A couple of bothersome possible malfunctions, there.
Hello, I am unable to reply to comments on my post in PTC Community. Each time I try to submit a reply, an error message appears: “Something’s going wrong.”This issue occurs consistently and prevents me from posting replies.I have already tried the following:- Using a different browser (Chrome / Edge)- Clearing browser cache- Removing special characters from the text However, the issue still persists.Could you please investigate this issue? Thank you for your support.

Hello community managerI’m customer success manager in PTC Japan. Can PTC employees submit product ideas on behalf of customers?I’ve been asked to raise improvement requests for a product, but the customer finds it difficult to do so themselves due to the language barrier and other reason.
What are PTC Community Ideas? PTC Community Ideas are specific boards where community members are able to provide feedback and product enhancement ideas directly to PTC Product Management. These ideas are shared and community members may vote on the product ideas they find valuable. The ideas are evaluated by the product management teams and some may be selected for addition to the Product Roadmap. More on the role of the product managers and roadmaps at PTC. PTC Community Ideas are available for viewing and submission for all community members who have an active subscription (or maintenance agreement) with PTC Support. These are community members whose community profile is linked to their PTC customer account. Generally, it is typically via a company email address. Below is a list of the PTC Community Idea boards available on the PTC Community:Arbortext Creo Products Codebeamer FlexPLM (Customers Only) Windchill Windchill Systems/Software Engineering (Integrity) PTC Mathcad T
I do like the new infinite scroll instead of pagination, but I would like it to be smooth and fetch threads while I’m scrolling instead of clicking each time on “Show More Activity” button.
Hello,I have a couple of questions regarding my past activity before the recent site renovation.First, where can I see the "Ideas" I submitted previously? Currently, I can only find one topic under "My Profile" > "Topics," though I had posted more.Additionally, I would like to know where I can see the Topics which I subscribed to before the renovation.I would appreciate it if you could explain how to find these.Regards,
@vnamboodheri I have to say your website is really bad. It wastes me at least 0.5 hour and no result. After half an hour of retry post the new idea, it still fail to post. I wonder why you can’t post the new idea for me in your website if you are a staff of CodeBeamer. The screen shot of my post is as below. But it don’t have any feedback after clicking “Create”. Why it doesn’t give any prompt if I miss something?
Update: The PTC Community is open for engagement. We are temporarily operating on a pre-moderation mode: the Community team is reviewing your posts before publication while we are finalizing the platform for regular usage. The idea portal is now live! Read more here We wanted to share some big news! Around April 6, we will be moving from our current Khoros Community Platform to the Gainsight Communities platform. Here’s what you need to know: We’re excited about the careful integration of AI‑powered features that Gainsight offers to help community members—when they choose to use them—create meaningful, high‑quality posts. The Community Team will gain new in‑platform tools that allow us to deliver a more personalized experience for all community members. We understand how important your community history and conversations are. Our technical migration experts are: Carefully transferring all existing PTC Community content. Came across a post with a broken attachment. Of course I can’t say if its a victim of the current migration from Khoros to Gains?? (forgot the name and its not showing at the bottom of the page anymore) or if it was already broken in Khoros. Here is the link: https://community.ptc.com/mathcad%2D7/finite%2Delement%2Dmethod%2D2d%2Dand%2D3d%2D78436?postid=321465#post321456When I try to access the attached pdf in this post all I get is a new tab with this:
The migration appears to have severely corrupted all posts containing embedded images. These images are now often only available and displayed in a reduced size and no longer enlarge when clicked. In principle, however, Gainsight does offer this feature, where images are stored in a larger format displayed in smaller size and then enlarge to full size when clicked. So the problem here isn’t that Gainsight is inferior, but rather an issue caused by an improper migration. My suspicion is that during the migration, only the smaller resized image files that Khoros used for display in the thread were transferred, and not the original image files in their original size.As long as the data from the old Khoros forum is still available, you should urgently save the larger images and attach them to the posts in Gainsight the correct way so that they can be displayed there in a reasonably readable (original) size when clicked. There are many threads and posts where the response consisted solely of sc
What happened to the ability to get a daily digest of all new activity instead instant activity?
In our internal company documentation, I was able to find 24 ideas that are no longer accessible under the previous URL.I’d have expected the migration team to set up a URL redirection so that users automatically land on the new page!Idea: Ability to copy component name from the assembly model tree Old URL: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Parametric-Ideas/Ability-to-copy-component-name-from-the-assembly-model-tree/idc-p/1043189 New URL: https://community.ptc.com/creo-parametric-ideas-180/ability-to-copy-component-name-from-the-assembly-model-tree-170254 Idea: Improve the Symbol Definition Interface Old URL: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Parametric-Ideas/Improve-the-Symbol-Definition-Interface/idc-p/1053730 New URL: https://community.ptc.com/creo-parametric-ideas-180/improve-the-symbol-definition-interface-169904 Idea: Start with CreoView Lite and if needed toggle to get MCAD without exiting the tool Old URL: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-View-Illustrate-Schematics/Start-w
When I did a search in the community for my last name, it returned 280+ results. When I went to cycle through the pages to get to additional topics, it would only show me the same 10 results, even though the page number at the bottom was changing.
We’re launching the Community for full engagement on Monday, April 13, 2026. All public forums will be taken out of Read‑Only so users can post questions and comments. One exception: Product Ideas. Users will be able to comment and vote on existing ideas immediately, but posting new ideas will remain disabled until Monday, April 27.We need the extra time to recreate the idea submission form so contributors can provide detailed, structured feedback that product managers can act on. In the meantime, please share your ideas on the relevant discussion forum. Be sure to continue following your post, a moderator will move your post to the appropriate Product Ideas portal once available.
