Hi,   i have a Master Mashup and want to pass parameters to the Mashup which is using my Master. So i set the State in my Master to, for example "Running", then my Mashup should update content accordingly. I just need the value i set on my Master Mashup somehow in the other Mashups that are using it.   Is this possibly via Mashup Properties? Or how can i do this?Url Params came to my mind, but arent the best solution, because it is just a filter.   Cheers Pat

Hello,   One of our thingworx instance database(postgresql is being used as default persistance provider) is corrupted so, I have taken the pg_dump of whole db and then created new database and restored old pg_dump to new one and then i have updated the platform-settings.json accordingly. After these changes, application is working fine but i have observed that 'id' field (entry_id which will do auto increment internally) is not getting updated for new entries in stream and value_stream tables.   Can someone please provide the inputs to handle this. Did anyone faced this kind of issue?   -thanks,Abhiram

Hi Community,   We were working on Custom UI development and trying to create custom extension for Thingworx Mashup as widgets. I have checked many old Article on community for Extension development using Angular-Thingworx. I'm using a gridadvanced widget populated by a service that returns an infotable, this works fine. After data is loaded into the grid, I make a popup appear when the user double clicks a row in the grid, passing the service's SelectedRows as a parameter to this popup. My grid is currently set to Single row selection.   However, the SelectedRows of the service mentioned above never changes, and its SelectedRowsChanged event is never triggered.   Using Thingworx 8.5.4

Can we make in some way that any particular user can login on application but cannot login on ThingWorx Composer? If yes , then how?   Thanks in advance.  

I've been using the Font Awesome widget, but it only works for v4 icons.  I'm not familiar enough with widget programming to update the widget.  Also, I don't see the Font Awesome widget in the marketplace anymore.   Or, is there a way of incorporating Font Awesome icons without the widget?

When I view my mashup, for some reason my line chart disappears whenever my values update. The line chart is supposed to update values but it is static. Not sure why. But, the main issue, is it disappears from view completely after a few updates. 

For what purpose the above functionality used? Is it for hiding the code at composer level? If not, how can we hide code of any service and providing the leverage of only executing the service at composer level?   Please advise on both use-cases i.e. the use of allow override and process of hiding the code of any service for a thing/template/shape.   Thanks in advance.

After the installer for windows failed, I tried linux.   This is what I got: --- There has been an error. Failed to install dependencies: Chef Client The application will exit now. --- I installed the Oracle Java 8 JDK 202 and put it into the path, same I did on Windows.   Is there ANY installer that actually works?

I have a numeric entry widget that is not setting the default value I pass to it because it is saying that it is out of range from the min value set. But this is not true, my default value is 24 it is within the min and max (the max and min change based on what question you are on). I try the "hardcoded" way and set values that work but still get the same issue. Anyone have any idea what is going on. It works as expected sometimes and other time not.    Not Working  

After following the guide of single sign-on, I have successfully set up the SSO environment on Thingworx, however, the log off functionality does not work, when we clicked on the log off button, the user session is not removed in the system, what we can do to make SLO work on Thingworx.

Hello, I am trying to call a REST API, which is using https and certificate issued by Lets Encrypt, using Resources["ContentLoaderFunctions"].GetText   Unfortunately I am getting this error: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target. If I select the option ignoreSSLErrors: 1, then I get this error:   Certificate for hostname doesn't match any of the subject alternative names   I tried to import the server's certificate to Java certstore, but it didn't help. I am running ThingWorx 9 as Docker container. What do you think can be the problem?   Thank you for your help

Thingworx 8.5.2 :   I don't see any option to dynamically pass state definition to label chart widget.Is there any work around for this?

i have one mashup which have two radio buttons, so if i am selecting 1st radio button "Staff" and after that i am selecting 2nd radio button "Member" then 1st radio button is also still selected, i want to select only one radio button at a time. refer below attachment

Helllo,   I want to develop software in thingworx to integrate with android.   Is the android edge sdk abandoned/obsolete ? I found the download for version 1.2 but i can't get it to compile on any sample.   How should one proceed ?   Thanks in advance,

The new schedule chart widget in Thingworx 9 has fantastic functionality but is missing one key feature. This feature is the ability to bind a target to the zoom start and end times. Are there any plans to add this or can someone suggest a work around to access the start and end times of the zoom?

I have a simple question. I have 3 buttons and I want each button to display a different set of data in a line chart when they are clicked. The previous line chart is replaced but the new button's data. So, if data1 button is clicked, data1 shows in line chart, if data2 button is clicked, data2 shows in line chart and so on. The problem I am having is the line chart can only have one dataset bind to it. I can change the click bind for each button but it doesn't change the fact that the line chart can only have one bind.  The red is what I think I am trying to get this to do if possible.

does anyone know of a way to generate an event when leaving a mashup?   I have a UI mashup which allows a user to configure some settings. I wish to write those settings to a file without the user having to press a 'save' button. I was hoping that I could use the menu widget that drives the mashups but there doesn't seem to be any events emitted. I have a service that dynamically returns the data (menu items) for the menu and tried to use the 'selected row changed' event, but it doesn't seem like this is emitted when used with a menu widget.   Thanks in advance K  

Hi,   I have come across a new issue with Workflow. After exporting it with other Thingworx entities in a single Git Extension,the "Workflows" Thing in the composer has become non-editable. I checked its xml configuration and has found it has a new property added to it as "aspect.isExtension="true", after the bundling it with the Extension. It also has a property as "isAllowOverride="false". I also tried to change it to TRUE so that I can import an editable "Workflows" Thing but no luck.   I tried changing and removing these properties and import manually but still not able to make the Thing editable.   Any suggestions/ comments how to resolve this?

Hi,   I have an service which uses the SearchThingsByTemplate of SearchFunctions. In most times the service response quickly but sometime the service doesn't response or need extrem long time to response (~3 minutes).   The result includes only 13 Entities (Remote Devices). Maybe this has something todo with the isConnected-Check or so? I have no clue what I can do or where I can search for debugging.

Hello everyone,   I have an exportet .twx file from the trial hosted server from about a year ago (think it was version 8.2 at that time).   Now I have a freshly installed instance of TWX Foundation on our local Servers on which I would like to import the twx. file. (I think I simply exported "All Entities" in the hosted Server).   Unfortunately I get the following error: Invalid request: java.lang.Exception: Import Failed: DataShape [LocationDataShape] Already Exists, With Different Case.   Unfortunately I am not able to find the "LocationDataShape" DataShape, even if I include all system objects in the search.These are the ones that contain the word "location":-locationValueStream -locationDeviationAlert -locationMatchAlert   Has anyone encountered a similar issue and does know how to solve it? Any help with that is appreciated very much! Hi,In my home screen I am using a paging widget for my grid in which double clicking each row navigates to another mashup.For example when I navigate from page 2 of my grid by clicking a row to another new mashup and return back to my home screen I need the grid values of page 2 to still be displayed.But instead the page 1 gird values are displayed by default.I tried passing the current page number as a parameter from my service to the navigated mashup and back to the home screen mashup but it doesn't work.I have attached my service below.
