We have a code for each part in CREO. This code is a parameter in part. For cases where we have a part with a flexible component, each size has a code. To avoid having to create a family table (often with more than 200 instances), is there any other way for me to be able to search the code of one of these parts in Windchill and find its generic details?

Hi Community,   I want to add rules for subtasks that I start with Ad Hoc Activity. I want the task to not close and see the error message unless the user adds a document. I can do this for normal activities. but I couldn't add a rule for subtasks started with Ad Hoc Activity. Is there a way I can do this?

I have a setup with a remote webserver accessing a load-balanced application server. The app servers are headless ie no webserver is running on them ie only have Method server and Server Manager.Windchill is accessible via the loadbalancer URL.However when I update the configuration to access Windchill via the remote HTTP server the system returns:Service UnavailableThe server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. We currently have over 15 different attributes to (optionally) fill in when creating a part and for users it's getting a bit hard to understand all of them. It would be nice to add a way to find extra information on that attribute, but we can't seem to really find something.Possible things we would like:A tooltip on long hover with a explanation of what this attribute does:Or just a text block explaining what you see.Make the attribute label a hyperlink that links to a knowledge base.Is any of these possible in Windchill? Or maybe something else? Any help or insights would be much appriciated!

Just a quick share for vault maintenance. I noticed that when I was removing unreferenced files from one of my vault folders, this one folder failed to moving anything. mainvault, maincontentvault33 Site Name [master]; Vault Name [mainvault]; Folder Name [maincontentvault33]; Size Freed [5,693,163 KB]; Number Of Unreferenced Items [41,392]; Number Of Files For Cleanup [41,392]; Number Of Cleaned Files [0]; Number Of Failed Files [41,392]. All others succeeded. I checked the number of files in that folder. Dawned on my that its using my file vault threshold limit of 1M on the unreferenced subfolder. Paranoid and keeping copy of files. No biggie as this entire volume will be archived soon. Good dayI am a newbie with Windchill and I would like to find out if it is possible to have the numbering sequence start from 1 with every new product created. So when I check in my first document on a new product the numbering starts at 1 and not from the system where many other documents have already been checked in. Regards

We have assembly data with 3 revisions. 1st data upload has been done. 2nd revision data upload was made. The changed and added parts are located correctly in the second revision. 3rd revision data upload was made. We saw that only the deleted parts were deleted from all revisions. What's the problem ? Can you help me ?   

Hi all,I would like to ask you for help. We are using Windchill as drawings library. We also have some modelu call "Document Portal" through this module we are able to open current version of drawings. For this viewing we are using iPad with iOS system. If I open Windchill in Edge browser and want to open PDF file, for some Windchill account it wokr good and pdf file is open directly on new tab in the browser but on the same device, if we use different account, first we need to download pdf and after this open in (too waste time). There is some "hide" settings in Windchill for this? There is no issue with browser setting becase for both accounts was used the same device with the same settings. Thank you for help!!

Hi All, I have a subtype in "Document" . They are not eligible for publishing. They should not be sent to workers for Publishing  This is causing two problems : 1. It is keeping AutoCAD workers busy during their execution which delays the others publishing2. Failed jobs count is high in WVS job monitoring  Can someone help me to let me know about how can we configure this  Thanks  BR,Prasanna

Hello, I am unable to carry out the rehost process.I need to change the server name so that Windchill doesn't lose communication. Would you help me ? I've seen the PTC documentation but it didn't help, it doesn't say which parameter I have to change so that the system understands the new server name.

Good morning all. I just had a user report an issue with his most used library NOT showing up in "Recent Libraries". When I went to look at the issue, I see the "Production" library behaving strangly. It exists, and is used daily, and for the admin, it shows up in recently used.  But if I, as admin, select "Show All", the production library vanishes.  Even worse, I have selected "Favorite" on the production library, but if I select "favorite" in the "All Libraries' table, it shows nothing.  This library seems hidden from everyone, unless you've had prior access recently enough that it's stays in "Recently Used" Suggestions to fix this issue? Thanks! =Don=

I have some legacy/migrated drawings in Windchill but these ‘Drawings’ are actually wt.documents because at migration time we only had the PDF or TIFF files and they’re not linked with the wt.part. In Thingworx Navigate there’s separate tasks to search for drawings and documents by number or name, are there any suggestions how to help users find the drawings they are looking for, when the drawings are actually documents?

I am using Relex 2011 Team Edition M010 to perform reliability prediction with 217plus method. However, I am unable to change the relative humidity, vibration level and cycling rate in the Calculation Data tab. Any numbers typed in those fields are deleted once I click away from the textbox. Also, the 'Environment, PRISM/217Plus' line item will not allow me to select anything other than 'A - Airborne.'    Also, I'm unable to update my copy despite the program saying that updates are available.    Can anyone help me solve the issues? Is this a bug or operator error?
