I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS03Need to understand after CPS update what are all the functions that we need to test to ensure there no data loss or any functional change has happened, Its for UAT

So I am about to roll out PartsLink Classification on our purchased parts.  I have a ton of possible attributes.  Some very specific to a specif node and some that can be more general.  My question is around the attributes for the nodes.  Should I try to use as many global attributes as I can or should I make them more specific?  A good example is voltage.  I know that each node will have it's own attribute, but in the Type and Attribute area, should I try to use as few as possible and point the node attributes to them as global?  What are the pros/cons of doing this?  I know a pro is that I have less to create.  But then should I just create all of them with that in mind?   Right now I have a mixture of the two and have over 120 attributes in my test system but have missed some that could possibly be global.  I'm just looking for ways to possibly lessen this going into my production environment if it is not detrimental.

1. Can we display a state column in the Find Affected Objects window?or2. Can we add a filter and filter by state?or3. Can we use baseWhereClause="(state.state='PRODUCTION')" in jsp file and customize, so that only production state objects are returned?

Dear Community, I have customized a Change Notice type and created a custom attribute in this type, this attribute is a drop down box to select the value, in addition I have created a template for change notice based on this type, in the template I have set the value of this attribute, in this case when the user creates a change notification, select the template, the value of this attribute will be brought over, but the user can still select other values When user creates a change notice, can it be set to read-only by the function of OOTB, or do I have to write a customized Validator?  Because we don't want to give the user a choice, just follow the values of the template. This appears to be a very critical folder. I am looking to know what the default rights (Linux) applies to this folder and key files underneath. Hello, Visualization in my DEV server is not getting generated for some of the objects, I am getting an error saying, "Error: Config builder was not found for id: PSB.vizLE". Has anyone faced this error before, if so, please provide your inputs on the resolution. Note: The issue is not being observed in all objects, only in some of them. Thanks,Sha 

We would like to disable Revise action from Folder Browser's action if certain condition doesn't matches our expectations. It can be achieved through Object's Details page, But couldn't perform the same in Folder Action.  Or else, Throwing explicit exception while revising the object from Folder Browser would also be fine. Please suggest your opinion dear friends!!

hello, we have a business requirement that they have already checked in all their project CAD files into windchill and they are in release state. now they want those files (Soldiworks 2014&2019) to be upgraded as to open it with Solidworks 2022. Do we have any provision in windchill to replace those files with upgraded Solidworks 2022 files without changing any attribute or metadata of all those documents, just replaces the physical files/CAD files with newly upgraded files so that when user tries to access it from Windchill UI, they should be able to see upgraded files of Solidworks 2022 directly.@BenLoosli

Hi , Anyone aware if we can get the "Set Location" value changed during the check in of CAD object from workspace. 1. User will create a CAD Document in Workspace with Context is (ABC)2. User will change the context using Set Location available in Check In options  (XYZ)3. the CAD object is created in ABC only is there a API to get the changed location value ?  above options are not based on UI, we have some customization to check the valid objects to valid container which the validation is handled via listener during check in.
