Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to roll-up an attribute value of a child back to the parent using the classification tool by using rules ?As in the diagram below, I am looking to take the "yellow" value from one part of the structure. Otherwise I have to manually edit the parent to populate the attribute.  According to CS331073, it's not possible to use alias attributes in the classification tool and I dont want to create an alias attribute directly carried on PART type. Do you encounter this problem and how to work around it?

Office worker fails to Start. In the logs we have an error message - Worker process 3844 has exited unexpectedly. Shutting down helper.   

Hi Everyone,I want a new attribute in the new user creation tab. when I tried to add the attributes, I only received the "Alias & Calculated" there I couldn't see the global attributes. If anybody knows how to add the attributes in new user creation, please support me.Thanks in Advance   

Description-seeing the below error sometimes on several of my systems. The BGMS fails to start even though we only have one Master vault. Usually without making any changes, the 2nd restart does not have any issues.Error occured -ERROR [main] wt.method.server.startup.services - Unable to start all managers. (wt.services.servicesResource/21) wt.services.ManagerException: Unable to start manager: "wt.fv.FvService" with implementation class: "wt.fv.StandardFvService"Nested exception is: wt.services.ManagerException: (wt.fv.fvResource/518) wt.util.WTException: System property wt.fv.forceContentToVault is set to TRUE. There can be only 1 master vault and it should be on the master site. Please set the property to FALSE or add the vault.

When I check in a Creo drawing that has images embedded on it, the published pdf does not show images (though the pdf shows only Creo entities). Is their a solution I can implement, thanks  

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.2 and Datecode with CPS 11.2.1.17Upon reboot of the Azure server, we are unable to restore the services for Windchill. In checking the logs it seems there are issues with Java folder permissions. When launching the web site we keep getting a 503 error. I know this report has been posted before, but I just did a search and can't seem to find it. I'm looking to get for a given context the list of all the ACLs.I've seen Antonio's SQL, but it gives the permission mask, not the actual permissions. Not sure how to convert that.

Hi,  Is both EPMDocument are same? 1] One which is showing in Types and Attribute manger.2] One which is showing when data checked in windchill from creo. I am seeing issue while configuration custom-action.xml <supportedTypes><type value="wt.part.WTPart" applyToDescendants="false"/></supportedTypes>  Where can I get EPMDocument assembly in Types and Attribute manger?  Regards,Shrikant Bhosle   

Hello the Community. I'm trying to update the "Variance Summary Report" in JasperSoft Studio.I want to add tables that would include Attributes we added to the Variance.I understand I need to create the new Fields in the dataset.I added some to the DatasetForVRHeader and made sure to match their name with the attribute's internal name.In addition, I aslo found that those reports are relying on Info*Engine.Therefore, I updated the related .xml to include the attributes I want to display in my report.I updated tasks/com/ptc/windchill/enterprise/change2/reports/VarianceSummaryHeader.xml and ChangeItemSummaryHeader.xml.  (tomcat and Info*Engine caches were cleared)When compiled, the report seems not to understand the changes I made (the added attributes are displayed without value).Does anybody succeeded in making chenges to those "Info*Engine" generated reports ? Regards.François   

Hello,I have developed a custom action menu on WTPart (a default object in Windchill), but for some reason, the same action menu is appearing on its child objects as well.I would like to know how I can limit the display of this custom action menu only to the main WTPart object and not its children.Regards,Shrikant Bhosle

Hi In our company we are using numbering in this format: xxxxxxx-FITTED1, xxxxxxx-FITTED2, xxxxxxx-FITTEDn. for various shapes of the same product. Like for example a tape padding or wires. The title of each instance may not be always the same either.  Can anyone advise how to:1) merge all entities of *-FITTED to one part "xxxxxxx" on the drawing board BOM table? 2) sum up the quantities (each) or cutting lengths (mm)? Many thanks to all in advance.   

Windchill PDMLink 12.1.2 Changed the code inside the workflow expressions, and need to assign the new workflow iteration to a part that has the old workflow iteration already running. But without start the workflow over.  Need to keep the same workflow point execution for the new workflow iteration.How can I do that?   

Hello experts.We have a few old templates created by folks who have long left the company.It looks like they call out roles that we have in or RoleRB file and a few we do not.I think they also call out the Permissions on Roles for those none RoleRB roles?Any guidance would be helpful

When i create a CN1(Full Track) with Part XYZ(BOM top Level) with revision A.2 in released state  as affected object only and do submit later.Create a Redline 1 for the Part XYZ and then move the CN1 to Pending Implementation state.Then i create a CN2(Fast Track) for the same Part XYZ with revision A.2 in released state as affected objects and do submit later.Create a Redline 2 for Part XYZ and then do a revise in implementation plan and the Redline 2 is successfully incorporated into  Part XYZ B.1Now when i cone back to the CN1 which is in pending implementation state. The affected object shows Part XYZ in A.2 version and does not get refreshed to Part XYZ B.1 Released version.What needs to be done so that the Affected objects are refreshed automatically.

Hi Community, I need to control some attributes in the flow, but I have controlled them, except for a few cases.The first error is if EN_LANG attributes in WTPart are empty, it gives an error for null value.The second error is that SURFACE_M2 attributes are defined with com.ptc.core.meta.common.FloatingPoint type, but SURFACE_M2 attributes can receive values automatically from creo, and when this value is an integer (for example 1), it gives an error in getting the value.I tried to get the values of these attributes in the code below com.ptc.core.lwc.server.PersistableAdapter obj = new com.ptc.core.lwc.server.PersistableAdapter(part,null,java.util.Locale.getDefault(),new com.ptc.core.meta.common .UpdateOperationIdentifier()); obj.load("EN_LANG","SURFACE_M2"); EN_LANG=(java.lang.String) obj.get("EN_LANG"); SURFACE_M2=(com.ptc.core.meta.common.FloatingPoint) obj.get("SURFACE_M2");

It seems as if modifying the General.html (and locale) and registering a custom template processor is not a supported customization because it impacts all emails.

We would like to move the database to a Standard Edition of SQL Server.Are there any drawbacks to moving the Windchill database from an Enterprise to a Standard version?Are there any best practices to follow?Thank you very much.
