Hello community,We're in discussion with a customer about SQLServer licensing for Windchill Risk and Reliability.There are 6 users.Customer argument is: if the application only uses a user for db connection, I only have to pay for 1 SQLServer licenseOur argument is that customer should adquiere as many db licenses as named users using the application (6).There is no official answer from PTC to helps us with this kind of discussion, because they consider that we should discuss it with Microsoft/OracleCan someone help me? any bad experience wtih compliances with Oracle or Microsoft?Thank you very much in advance. Maite Farreny

I am having issues with a new drawing file I have created. When I try to check-in the drawing, it errors out saying "A document with the filename XXXXXXX.drw already exists in a restricted context. Cannot change the filename of the document with filename "XXXXXXX.drw." To remedy that and save my work I had saved it as "XXXXXXXa.drw" so that it would at least get uploaded and checked in. When I search for the name that is in a restricted context, nothing shows up. Nothing exists because it is supposed to be a new part. Is there some reason I would need access to a restricted context in order to see the filename in question? Why would I need to create a filename for a file that shouldn't exist to begin with and doesn't exist when I try to find it?

Hello all, when changing WC12,0 from HTTP to HTTPS/SSL what are the necessary steps for Creo Parametric clients? Is it necessary to upload or checkin everything before switching to HTTPS/SSL? what is the difference between manual rehost and run rehost through utility ?  if it is can someone provide general steps for manual rehost ? FYI :- i viewed rehost guide but i could not understand clearly      

I want to customize the version synchronizations for the part, cad and drawing data we use in windchill. I don't want to do this manually. Is it possible to create a flow for this process and take part data codes from users in this flow and synchronize these codes to the most current version in the workflow? If we do the version synchronization process in the workflow, will there be a problem in connecting the data with each other? 

I was wondering if there is any load file available to load custom queue 

While doing upgrade in pre-upgrade activity on importing the source ldap only I came to know that my baseDN value is wrong , that is while installing windchillds itself i made mistake by giving baseDN as cn=Windchill12.1,o=XXX instead of o=XXX Is there a way now to change the baseDN value and continue on my upgrade ? if so steps for that ?Thanks in Advance

Hi All,After various troubleshooting we were able to configure Custom AutoCAD worker to generate pdf.Now we are trying to create publish rules to stop publishing on check-in.It should only generate on specific state and manual creation of representation.Attached is the script we tried however it not working.Added AUTOCAD to publish.usesPublishRules in wvs.properties.Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks.

But now upgrade manager freezes "template migrator to updatexml tag for principal reference" . I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.8In both Creo (8.0.6.0) and WGM (12.1.1.0) with Windchill 12.0.2.8 I now have the issue that when I go to open my active workspace, the loading wheel spins forever and the workspace never loads on the web page. However, through CAD I can open/checkin and checkout my files just the same.Here are the errors that I facedThere aren't any messages or warnings. The load wheel just spins forever when trying to open an active workspace in both Creo and the WGM.

Hello, We are a small company and we are trying to set up a document template for our library that includes other information besides what is out of the box solution.  See attached.  Can we create another attribute between Name and Location and call it Model.  So when someone loads a document they can select what model the document references.   We have admin access etc.        

Hello all, in my Windchill-12, in Representation/Annotation table, initially it was showing 1 representation but as soon as I updated and promoted the drawing to released, it is now showing 2 same representation. how? is it okay if I delete the other representation ? see snap attached   Br,Sandeep C. 

A couple departments from my company is questioning if we are able to track a specific revision that was sent to whom and when that revision was sent. Is that possible to do in Windchill?(Currently running windchill 12.0)     

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.1is there a way for windchill to distinguish between solidworks cad parts and cad sheetmetal parts? Inventor and Creo sheetmetal parts can be identify using the subcategory = sheetmetal but not solidworks. Creo and Inventor sheetmetal parts have unique icons but solidworks sheetmetal parts do not, they appear as regular cad parts. Bottom line, we cannot search for solidworks sheetmetal parts.

Hi together, We recently have added a second SAP distribution target that has a different name but the same System ID and Client and the first one. When sending data to SAP only one single transaction is generated. Is there a possibility to have two transactions for each Distribution Target even if the System ID and Client are the same?
