Is there a way to mass assign Distribution Targets (DTs) in the Change Task Resulting Objects table? Suppose I have 2000 objects in my Resulting Objects table of a Change Task and I do not know if they all have a DT assigned yet or not. Each view has its own DT i.e. a "New York" view of an Object needs to have the "New York" DT assigned to it. Is there a way to enable me to sort my table by view, make mass selections by view, and assign a DT to that view group selection? What I am describing is an "ideal" way of assigning DTs from my perspective, but it may not exist. Regardless, my question to the community is if this exact or similar functionality exists in Windchill PTC.

Hello Everyone, We are trying to implement a "Staggered" Approval Promotion process in Windchill. Apart from "Approvers", the workflow must also include "Reviewers" to be aware of the objects being promoted, but not need to perform any actions. I have added a couple of "Review" tasks similar to what was available in the OOTB "Two Level" Approval Process. However, even after adding all the necessary participants for the respective "Review Tasks", I am unable to view the "Reviewer" column in the "Select Participants" window of a Promotion Request. How could I achieve this?BWorkflowBest Regards,Irfan

Hello, It's seems not efficient to manage a limited number of Active Daily User licences for 100 or 150 users who don't know each other in only one unique License group "PTC Navigate Contributor". As an Administrator, is it possible to allocate a different number of Active Daily licenses to different license groups? For example, 5 Active Daily licenses for license group "Contributor 1" , 10 Active Daily  for group "contributor2", ... In that way i can improve the usage of Active Daily licenses with groups of users who know each other. What do you think ?Pascal  

When I conduct an advanced search in Windchill, some objects end up in the search results list which I would prefer not to have there.  The objects appear in the list despite the fact that they are earlier Versions of the object.  I am trying to find out if there is a criteria to select that would exclude those objects altogether if later versions (not matching the criteria) are found.   Please also see the attached images and further explanation.

We are planning to move from Windchill PDM Essentials 11.1 M020 (since this has no more support since January 2023)  to   Windchill PLM 12.1.2.1 ----    Will this kind of architecture layout look as a recommended one for a long haul?  Attaching an imageCan we have 2 VM's with SQL Servers on it and have the Windchill servers (1, 2, ...n) talk to these SQL servers?  This is some kind of architecture I was thinking of but like to hear from the SME's.  Appreciate the kind responses in advance!

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.0.2A document soft type is missing in the Type dropdown list in the New Document window. I enabled lifecycle , checked access its not denied. Seems some issue with OIR but not able to figure it out , correctly added internal name and lifecycle changed from basic to custom advance lifecycle in the name area in the OIR.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.3.0As I remember from earlier a locally modified object which is saved to the workspace without being checked out will be marked with a blue plus icon in the workspace either with one or two plus plus icons depending on if the object is uploaded or not, Our problem now is if an object is changed AND uploaded then the blue plus icon disappears completely from the workspace window which makes it impossible to see if a part or assembly is changed unless you open it in Creo or go to the info page for the specific part. If you open the web browser showing the uploaded state there is no blue plus icon in the column showing "General status". That column is blank even for an object with the status "Modification Uploaded" but on the info page for that object the blue plus icon is visible for the WS page of the object. This is bad since you might miss to checkout and in changes you have done since you do not see them in an overview.

Looking for thoughts on this. We have cases where multiple change tasks can be used to do a semi-formal pre-review before signoff. Are there any downsizes to listing the same items multiple times on different change tasks under the same CN? I can see dispositions could be duplicative. There is convenience for having the assignee/reviewer see directly the items of concern. I can also see cases where code operating at the CN workflow level (like set state of changeables) would have to deal with duplicates in the set. Anything else that would be of concern?

When i have installed windchill initially, I was able to open windchill and work on UI but after  i installed second windchill instance  i am not able start Windchill.
