Windchill 12.1.2.0 WGM 12.1.0.2 CATIA v5 Release 2018 We are in the testing stage of bringing in CATIA v5 models and drawings into Windchill via Workspace > Tools > Import into a workspace. Importing is working good except for the mass of the CATProduct's is coming in as zero. The mass for CATPart's is coming in correctly.   I have the CAT:MASS defined in Type and Attribute Manger for the CAD Document  custom Mass attribute which is the same one used for Creo Parametric. Since it is working for CATParts I am confident this is setup correctly.   I do have a case open with PTC, for several days now, however apparently no one there knows anything about this.   I am CATIA (anyversion) illiterate so am probably missing out on something simple. Has anybody successfully pushed CATIA v5 CATProduct mass into Windchill? If so what did you do to get there? Thanks

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.0.2We are creating Generic URL through code to download some content. But, we can't utilise that URL more than once. So, We need to know how I can re-utilise the same URL without executing functionality. Or any other way to download by asking credentials ?

Hi I try to download file from Windchill PDMLInk11.1 M020 server using external  HTTP Client with the help of RESTful APIs. Using REST API I got the metadata of file inside this file i got URL with query string, if this URL with query string  put in my java code it does not work and file can't download. Is it possible to get the non-latest iteration of a document using List-ContentItems? I am using search-objects to get version B.1 which is in a state of released, but there is a B.2 that is inwork. I am then call List-ContentItems with that document which has an obid that starts with OR:. The List-ContentItems task returns the VR: version of the document which appears to be the version identifier, representing all iterations of the document, rather than the OR version, or Object Version of the document, representing a specific iteration of the document I am passing into the List-Content items webject. I am trying to get the content for the non-latest iteration of a document.

We are a heavy user of Creo Parametric and Windchill PDMLink and ProjectLink.  We are using the basics for ProjectLink and we were looking at extending it's capabilities using Milestones and true project management.  The business coming from another angle is looking at PlanView Portfolio application that also has a Project Management tool.  Has anyone experienced both platforms in their business and potential integration points? I am not familiar with PlanView at this point but all of our Design documents are in Windchill PDMlink.

I have the following configuration: It seems straight forward where you can specify a group based on the value for who can see items of a particular value when tagged. It does not appear you can specify a context role or group. An org or site level group would seem to be the only option then. So how would this work if say I wanted all Program Managers or System Engineers to access CUI data without having an agreement defined? I get that the context access rights would be the first line of defense, so program manager A would not see CUI in the context of program manager B. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.0.0I have two Subparts of WTPart. My goal is to create a downstream structure in Service View and change the Subpart to another, after the transformation, so that every 'Subpart1' is now a 'Subpart2'.

When I set restrictions on attributes, it does this on both the create and edit screens, but I don't want to restrict users on the create screen because they have to fill the form on that screen and start a new form. On the Edit screen, only the people I want should edit this data, not everyone. How can I bring this restriction?

We have added a new lifecycle state which is optional for a promotion request. I have run the lifecycle upgrade utility and the parts are all showing they have the new state available. I have modified the ACLs to allow the members access to the new state. I did this first on my Windchill 12.0.2.10 test system then made the same changes to the production 11.1 M020 CPS20 system. The WIndchill 12 system is an upgrade from the Windchill 11.1 system, so it has the same base data, just a few weeks out-of-date.  With the 12.0 system, when I do a New Promotion Request, I get a window at the top of the screen asking me to set the promotion request state. On the Windchill 11.1 system, I only get the old Released state, no option. I have compared the Lifecycle states and the ACLs and they are identical on both systems. Is there something that needs done so the Windchill 11.1 system will act the same as the Windchill 12 system?
