Hi everyone,We have a highly customized Windchill REST Services (WRS) endpoint functioning perfectly in Windchill 12.1. We developed this using a custom domain setup with import.json and a complex import.js file for an unbound function.Inside our import.js, we heavily rely on the Nashorn engine using Java.type(...) to access core Windchill APIs. For example, we dynamically call wt.session.SessionHelper.getPrincipal() and com.ptc.projectmanagement.assignment.AssignmentHelper to fetch and manipulate user resource assignments directly from the JS context. We are currently planning an upgrade to Windchill 13.0. I noticed in the release notes that the WRS framework in WC 13 has been updated to support Java 17, OpenJDK Nashorn, Tomcat 10, and Olingo 5.0.My questions for those who have migrated to Windchill 13: 1. Are there any known syntax or runtime compatibility issues with the new OpenJDK Nashorn engine when making heavy Java.type() calls to WC core classes compared to the standard Nashorn

Hi all,I want to have a mapkey that calculates the surface area of the cross section of an extrusion profile and then paste the value in a new created parameter. What is the best method to do this, i tried with the volume of the part and the length comming from the parameters from the boundry box but it doesn’t seem reliable due to the ID changes of the boundry box feature. What are different methods that work?

I have a mashup that contains a ptcstextfield widget.  NumericInputMode is selected.  Allow decimals is selected.  DecimalPlaces is set  to 2.  When I attempt to enter a decimal value, it transposes the numbers.  If I enter .75, it shows the value as .57.  Any ideas on what might be causing this issue.

I don’t want to receive this warning every single time I open Creo 13 and activate a part for the first time. Is there any way to turn this warning off? Removal of Assembly - Level Features warning

The above recipe was generated to have our NX Cad worker publish only the Model reference set.  This reference set contains part CAD data only.  Our publisher is still publishing the entire file, including all reference geometry and creates an nearly unusable, very large, Creo View file.  PTC support was unable to provide a solution.  Is there a way to load either a specific NX reference set or a specific NX layer on the NX CAD worker and eliminate all the extra geometry from being published?Thank You

We are currently using PTC Windchill 13.0.2.12 to develop a Configurable Module in one of our test environments. As the solution matures, we expect to validate it in an additional test environment before ultimately deploying it to production. We have identified the mechanism for exporting and importing an Option Set, which appears to support the transfer of a Configurable Module structure. However, our concern is the long-term maintenance of the module. As new Design Options, Design Choices, and Rules are added, we need to ensure that the underlying Option Pool can also be migrated and maintained across environments.Without a way to transfer the Option Pool, we would effectively be limited to the state of the Option Set at the time of export. Future enhancements would require manually recreating Design Options, Design Choices, and Rules in each downstream environment, which introduces additional effort, risk, and validation requirements.Ideally, we would like to avoid manually re-enteri

Good afternoon, Community,Would anyone be kind enough to help me trouble shoot the attached Mathcad Prime 11 file.I am try to calculate the thickness of an angle to withstand the hydro pressure of wet concrete, using the symbolic method, with no luck. ThanksBoyer

The ZIP archive contains Notepad++ UDL files for config.pro and drawing setup (dtl) options. I've created them for following CAD versions: WF4 (= Pro/E Wildfire 4) CEP5 (= Creo Elements/Pro 5, formerly Pro/E Wildfire 5) CP2 (= Creo Parametric 2) CP3 (= Creo Parametric 3) CP4 (= Creo Parametric 4) Basis for the options were the lists of Olaf Corten (thanks for them) http://proesite.com/UTIL/view_config.html and http://proesite.com/UTIL/view_setup.html.   General config.pro options get shown dark blue and bold. Hidden config.pro options get shown in a lighter blue, bold and italic. Comments get shown brown and can be folded, if they consist of several lines. Drawing setup (dtl) options alse get shown dark blue and bold.   To add a UDL file to Notepad++, choose "Language" and then "Define your language" in the menu. In the dialog which is opened then, choose the button "Import" and then the appropriate XML file.   https://github.com/DonChunior/Creo-Configuration-Files

We are using Windchill to manage aircraft repair parts and have a set of standard General Notes, currently numbered GN01–GN30.Each GNxx is a reusable standard note. For example, GN05 is one standard WTNote containing the approved text. The problem is that the same standard note may need to appear under a different G-number depending on its position within an individual repair. For example:Repair A requires GN01–GN10 → displayed as G01–G10 Repair B may not require GN03, so GN04 might need to appear as G03 Another repair may use GN05 as G04We can currently use Add Note to add an existing GN05 to a Part, which is what we want from a reuse perspective. However, the Name belongs to the WTNote itself. Therefore, changing GN05 to G04 would change the name of the actual shared note rather than just its designation within that particular Part. What we would ideally like is:            Master WTNote                 GN05              /       \             /         \       Repair A       Repair B

Newly registered PTC Community members (after August 28th), are system assigned a temporary PTC Community username (aka screen name) which includes a combination of letters and numbers unique to each individual.  To optimize the PTC Community member experience, we encourage each member to change the default username to something more creative or personal (i.e. CADMGR, JSmith, Sally_456).  To change your username, follow these steps:Select “My Settings” from your profile picture in the top menu bar.Click the “Update Username" button and then "Save". 3.  Enter your desired username and click "Save." Last edited by Catalina, April 2026

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.26 We have rehosted Windchill from the Production server to the Development server. After completing the rehost, we configured the JNDI adapter on the Development environment. Following this configuration, the Participant Administration → Find Participants page is not opening and displays the error: “The identifying information for the objects being processed is corrupted.” We suspect this may be related to the JNDI/LDAP configuration. Please advise on the cause of this issue and the supported procedure to validate and resolve the JNDI inconsistency.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.12.0There is a "mirrored bodies id" feature in my part. When I updated the part it was referencing the mirrored part did not get updated. How can I edit this to fix it? There is not a "edit definition" when I click on the "mirrored bodies id" feature.

I am using Creo View Release 11.1 and Datecode11.1.0.0 We are using Creo View Lite Edition and are unable to find the Compare Model and Compare Drawing PDF options. Could you please confirm: Whether these compare functionalities are available in Creo View Lite? If not, which Creo View edition/license supports these options? Are there any specific steps required to access them? Here are the errors that I faced We are using Creo View Lite Edition and are unable to find the Compare Model and Compare Drawing PDF options. I am facing an issue while importing a STEP file into Creo Parametric. The attached STEP file contains six geometry entities named "Surface". In the STEP file, these are represented as MANIFOLD_SOLID_BREP entities, each containing a single planar ADVANCED_FACE.The surface geometry appears correctly in the source application, but after importing the STEP file into Creo, these surfaces are not represented as expected.Could someone clarify how Creo interprets this type of MANIFOLD_SOLID_BREP representation during STEP import, and whether this is expected behavior or if a different STEP surface representation is required? I have attached:The original STEP file. Screenshot of the expected representation. Screenshot of the resulting geometry in Creo after STEP import.

Good morning, Community,Please see attached for you help. I’m trying to find the thickness of angle for a “Pour Stop” on metal deck, my question is the symbolic equation suppose to show the thickness in “inches” but was showing the result in a different way.

Hi, how can I write all math symbols in creo notes with isofont?

Hi,I was trying to move my MC15 license from my old PC to my laptop, but in the process something went wrong, so now I have the MC15 license in place for my PC, but the additional extensions are locked to something “null” I’m unable to move or recover the extensions, and thus the license file I can generate only includes the program. I get this error “CRITICAL: Product license is overallocated”How do I reset the licenses totally and generate a new host that will include both MC15 and extensions? Thanks! \\\Jens

Hello.I need to identify/open/convert two legacy .dge files, believed exported from Creo Schematics in 2015/16.I need to check what I believe will be a room layout, and update whatever is shown to create a new file (PDF, DWG, DXF) in AutoCAD.If anyone is able to assist with this it would be appreciated - I have downloaded Creo View Express (v13) but it says the files are unsupported.

I’m interesting in hearing from anyone that has used the Creo UG/NX Collaboration tool?We are starting manufacturing a product in the UK that is currently manufactured by our sister company in Germany. They have all the cad data in NX, but I think they use windchill as data management.  The question is, does this extension really allow you to edit the NX data in CREO.  I have seen something similar in Solidworks where it interrogates the CREO model and basically redraws the part in Solidworks automatically.  This produced something that looked correct on the outside but the way the model was generated didn’t make much sense and consequently made editing difficult.I suspect that I’m going to have to redraw the parts on CREO manually as they are mostly sheet metal components, and I am doubtful that the conversion will be seamless.Does anyone have experience of this?  Bearing in mind these converted files will be used for manufacture and be subject to revision.

Currently in Codebeamer version 3.2.0.1.1, Review Hub information is available, but there is no dedicated filter in either Trackers or Reports to access and filter items based on their Review Hub status. The existing filters do not provide the ability to distinguish requirements according to their review outcome. Currently, through reports we have only the below filtersThis enhancement requests the introduction of a new filter field in both Trackers and Reports that allows users to filter requirements by the following Review Hub statuses:Approved Rejected Not ReviewedThe enhancement should enable users to quickly identify and report on requirements according to their review state without requiring manual review or additional data processing.Business NeedProject teams frequently need to track review progress, identify pending reviews, and generate status reports based on review outcomes.
