Hello all, I am facing a problem related to the conversion of my files to the Creo Parametric 9 version. Currently, this version of Creo only allows you to change its results into the following formats: I want to convert my analysis results from these above formats to Excel format. I tried surfing online regarding the same but couldn't find it. Hi folks,here the little simplified assembly in creo 8.0.9. I tried to simulate with Simulate the effect over a stator of a clamp.The program gives to me always the error "Creo Simulate could not generate elements for all of theentities in the model"I've just tried to mesh the single parts and it works. The problem is only in the assembly with the part of the stator. I tried also: without the symmetry with different fixing fixing all the dof for better numerical stability without contact interface I don't know where I'm going wrong.  

I'm trying to simulate a constraint on a part fixed with a screw in an oblong (as shown in the image below). The idea was to constraint the region where the screw head reaches, because the diameter of the screw is smaller than the hole. Is this way correct? I'm getting high tension points when simulating, making the part not able to withstand much force in the simulations. I don't have an Advanced Creo Simulate license to use Fastener or Preload tools.   

Creo Mechanism doesn't use computer resources Sometimes when creating bigger simulation with non linearities creo mechanism doos simulate this but very slowly without using computer resources. how can i fix this.Used friction, nonlinear forces derived from coordinates.  

In structural simulation, as my understanding that plastic deformation will lead to large deformation. In Cero Simulate, it is allowed to perform plastic deformation with large deformation deselected.  What are the differences between the following structural analysis conditions?1. Only large deformation is calculated, plastic deformation is not calculated.2. Only plastic deformation is calculated, large deformation is not calculated.What is their actual physical significance? Are there any practical cases?   

Hi guys, I am trying to load a distributed load on a circular beam of outer diameter 15mm and inner 13mm and length 1m. The load has got to start from 50N and linearly decrease to 0. I have tried using the function definition to apply a function of 50-50*X, however the load seems to be evenly distributed. Any ideas thanks very much  

Hi,I'm interested in simulating the squeeze of a hollow hemisphere.I'm unable to run this simulation because there is only one element (the tip of the ball) at the start, and other elements come into contact with the squeegee as it moves. I attached the model, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong?I'm grateful to anyone who can help in advance.

I need the procedure to apply the moment load to this shaft.  I cannot find anything on how to do this.  I even tried two different AI website to try to find an answer.  Neither site gave me an answer.   What features?  How applied?  

Currently I have a contact model that consists of two separate bodies. One body is fully fixed and assigned a linear elastic material with steel properties. The second body rests on top of the first and has a fully defined elasto-plastic material. This was defined using developed test data. My problem comes when I am trying to enable "Plasticity" in the static analysis. The option is completely greyed out and unavailable. The material is both assigned to the model and to the correct body. Has this issue been reported previously or is there something I am missing?  I have tried a variety of solutions such as assigning all bodies the same elasto-plastic material, suppressing features that could cause issues (grounded springs/Links). Neither solution yielded any results. Even when using the elasto-plastic material definition I receive the same error seen below. Creo 9.0.7.0. T5 licenseI'm trying to create a mapped mesh on very simple shape.  But when I try to create the mesh it fails to make bricks and reverts to tets.  I've spent a lot of time trying to do this very simple task and I am frustrated.My geometry an extruded sketch.  It has (or had) some fillets on the vertical edges but I have suppressed them. I have selected every surface combination possible (there are 3 possibilities - top+bottom, the two sides, and the ID and OD).  

Hello Team, I am trying to add gravity load along with other applicable forces. Without adding gravity load, simulation goes fine but when i apply gravity load, it fails. It shows below error: Can you please suggest what could be the reason for this? I am really under pressure to finish the simulation. You may determine the smallest    (linear) buckling load factor by running a buckling    analysis.  o The deformations may be large enough that you must    further refine the mesh. I am using Creo8.0 trying to run a thermal simulation on a simple block with a convection condition applied to the bottom. For the full simulation, I am planning on starting at 20C (also initial temp as defined in transient analysis), ramping up to 90C, then down to -35C. I keep noticing an initial dip in the temperature at the measure point at the bottom of the block for the first few minutes, which should not be there as I am trying to increase the temp from 20C to 90C, so it should not be getting colder at all during that ramp. I was originally using 90C as the bulk temperature in the convection condition, with the table ramping up from .22 (20C) to 1 (90C). I decided to run some tests where I hold at 20C using various bulk temperatures and table value combinations to better understand the table function tool, but I am still lost. I am trying to Simulation fluid flow around a rocket body in creo, I am attemptiing to use the simulation live feature but my university computers and personal computer do not have the necessary computing hardware. What and how do I use the simulation cloud, I've tried contacting the PTC tech support but they were no help. 

I am trying to use the Creo Simulation Wizard. I am running into a problem with the domains. I am trying to select my singular part as the solid domain for external fluid flow but it will not select it and will not create a bounding box. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

This is a supplement to: Article - CS129684   Is it possible to measure distances and other spatial quantities in results window in Creo Simulate.   Complex measurements and comparisons to original CAD are possible through some additional steps. In simulate results, set the deformed scale to 1.0 and then export the model to VRML format Change back to Cad side and open the VRML file. This can then be assembled to your master and compared or measurement tools used. Some additional planes, sketches, or 3d curves referencing the VRML vertices may be needed to measure a diameter. This is because the deformed model will no longer have perfect arcs, cylinders, and spheres like the original CAD and so some form of approximation is needed. 

While using Creo 9 Mechanism Dynamics Option (MDO) for analyzing design system, user is getting the error "Mechanism Dynamics is required for this analysis type". After re-installation it worked. But when Creo is closed and re-launched, again the dynamic function is lost.Because of this issue, user cannot close Creo session. If closed, this is lost.   

I wanted to create an animation of my robotic hand. The first step is to save the mechanism playback file so I can import into the animation menu. My problem is to I don't know how to create a reciprocating motion, where the robotic finger begins in a straight position, bends, and then returns to its original straight position. I need to know how to reverse the motion for my robotic hand in mechanism playback. I can only make the motion from the straight position and bend without returning to the initial straight position (reciprocating). My idea is to make a separate servo motor and analysis for bending motion and make another one for back straight motion so I can import this 2 mechanisms playback to my animation so it will looks like "reciprocating motion".. However, I am not sure if this will work and believe it to be  complicated. Is there a more efficient way to produce reverse/reciprocating results?

I am cleaning up a model. Running Creo 7. There are Creo "Simulation Studies" showing up in the model tree. I went into the Creo Simulation app, and blew away all of the simulation elements. However, when i exit the app and go back to the model tab, the simulation studies still show up in the model tree... When I right click to delete them, nothing happens. Same when I highlight them and hit the delete button. 

Dear PTC Community,I am currently working on Creo Simulate to perform a FEA on a rain cowl assembly for different wind loadings and also to check if the current weight of this rain cowl assembly can be taken by the motorised louvers without failing (rain cowl assembly is mounted onto the motorised louvers with the help of bolts).I have defined fasterners and weld connections wherever needed but facing some issues with them as listed below:Issue_1: The perimeter welds defined at locations where the top part of the rain cowl assembly is being connected to the side part for example is not being taken into consideration and the solver says that it is taken as bonded idk why? Issue_2: The end welds along the curve for the same two parts of the rain cowl assembly are ignored by the solver idk why either. (It is treated as bonded there) Issue_3: Single element at the top left part of the rain cowl assembly shows an error (Can be seen when tried to run the own_weight static design st

Dear Simulate Users,   I have the real material model of a plastic (PA66 GF15). A table - send by manufacturer - includes the Young modulus, the max.tensile strain, the max. tensile stress and finally the measured material curve: The dashed line (see elastic line) was created by Young modulus. It can be seen that the linear range of real curve is very short. The real curve begins to bend quite early. Theoretically the yield point is in the point of bending start.   1. But how can I define a material curve which approximates this real curve well?  2. Where is the yield pont exactly if the data table doesn't include it?   Thanks a lot; Roland
