how creo 7 works in thermal analisys in a steady state ? I mean as input for thermal load i've to consider Heat Flux (W/m^2). This means that load is time dependent. I use a load of 5000W/m^ 2 on a steel structure with 30mm thicknes and i get more than 170°c of temperature. Teoric calculation give me 21 °c after 20 seconds.Does creo consider Fourier time to get Steady State: t= Thickness^2/(Thermal Diffusivity) ? and if it consider that how does it calculate that. Because in material specification ther is not thermal diffusivity value.thanks for answering

I have added IEAC (Exclude elements autogem control) to my fixed constraint areas. Autogem mesh also reflects the IEAC control. However, in the solver output file, i still see a warning" Excluded elements may be needed near constrain". Is this normal ?

I am trying to run a Kinematic type analysis. I could not see the option to enable Termination Condition for the analysis in Kinematic type of analysis. How can I terminate the run after meeting a certain specified condition? Thanks!

Hello,I’m working on a 2-speed transmission model in Creo Mechanism, and I need some help setting up the dynamic gear engagement behavior. The transmission has a neutral, 1st gear, and 2nd gear.I start the mechanism analysis in neutral condition.The input shaft is driven by a servo motor rotating at 1000 RPM.A second servo motor is used for gear shifting (e.g., a sliding collar or actuator).           In neutral, all gear connections should be disengaged.When the output shaft engages with 1st gear, only 1st gear should be active, others disengaged.Similarly, in 2nd gear, only the 2nd gear should engage.All this should happen in one continuous analysis, driven by:One input servo motor (rotating shaft),One shifting servo motor (for gear selection).How can I simulate this type of dynamic gear engagement/disengagement in Creo Mechanism using just one servo motor for input and another for gear shifting? 

Need help in simulating the internal, external gear pair. And the gear-2 here will move horizontally and engage with gear-1. Also, gear-2 should start rotating after teeth engagement with gear-1. I am interested in dynamic simulation in this case. Is this possible in Creo Mechanism MDO? Thanks for your help! 

I'm trying to  apply a thermal load to simulate a bolt preload (a similar technique as it used to be done in Pro/MECHANICA) in a simple two plate model. To model the bolt I made a beam idealization that connects two rigid links at the bolt ends (one for the head and the other for the thread). I created a global material for the plates with 0 [1/°C] thermal coefficient and then another material for the beam with 1.2e-3 [1/°C]. For thermal loads I'm using a temperature load increase to 100C and fixing the rigid links. After that, I run the static analysis but nothing happens.  This is the first time I'm attempting this approach for bolt modeling, I'll appreciate any help to understand what I'm doing wrong. Hello,I'm trying to export *.gif files from a modal analysis, but the quality is extremely poor. The only available formats are *.avi and *.mpg — which is fine, I can convert them afterward — but the video quality is unacceptable.I don’t understand why I can export simulation images as *.jpeg in absurdly high resolution, yet when it comes to videos, the quality is so low. There are compression artifacts, text becomes unreadable, and any small details in the model are completely lost in a blur of pixels.Is there any way to improve the quality of exported video or gif files? 

I want to calculate the torsional stiffness for my design, So for that I have to determine the value of angle of twist in simulation. Can anyone tell me the procedure to calculate the torsional stiffness or angle of twist in creo simulation.

Hello,I would like to know if annotations can be exported inside of simulate result *.pvs file.We use *.pvs results very ofter but not all people in our company use creo simulate. So when there are many hydraulic cylinders and report doesn't have any reference of which one is which it is pretty hard to find excel reference in *.pvs model.How can i define a note which will be exported to *.pvs file where each hydraulic cylinder will have it's personal note.Expected output: 

Hello community, I've been researching the possibility to plug in the output from Creo Mold Simulation (Warpage & Fiber Orientation) into Creo Simulate. It seems PTC hasn't created that capability and they seem to be suspiciously silent about it, either due to the complexity to implement it or lack of knowledge on how powerful this could be for our design and analysis, as they seem to have everything on hand to add this feature. If someone knows a solution or workaround to use CMA and Simulate together let me know. Thanks!,JD

Hi communityI am interested in simulating the separation of bodies. In effect, I am tearing one body from the other.The two bodies have different materials, and bonded contact between the bodies.I create the separation using displacement constraint. In this situation, the elements continue to be connected between the bodies and do not "disconnect" during the separation process. What am I doing wrong?Does anyone have a recommendation on how to simulate this? Thanks in advance.

Hello! I would like to ask the community about the mesh validation. There is a tool for it in CREO Simulate that is useless for a big simulation models (100000+ elements) it is impossible to turn the model while the mesh is displayed. So is there any feature or tool that will help to hide the valid elements and show only bad elements on the screen. Thank you for the response!

Using CFA, I am trying to set the initial condition of a pressure vessel filled with gas at high pressure,set the outlet pressure to atmospheric pressure, and measure the time it takes for the entire vessel to reach atmospheric pressure.The time it takes for the pressure to drop is almost the same as the simulation time (required time).Specifically,if the simulation time is set to 5 seconds, it will take about 5 seconds to reach atmospheric pressure,and if the simulation time is set to 10 seconds, it will take about 10 seconds to reach atmospheric pressure.Is there something wrong with my settings?For example, maybe there aren't enough iterations.I would appreciate some advice on the settings when performing calculations like this.

I am Sangok An, living in Korea.I am trying to compare two steel plates—one with bending and one without—using Creo Simulate Lite (9.09). Creo 8.0.11 why there isn't the possibility to interrupt a bigger analysis (eg: LDA) to restart it later?Someone may post it into the IDEA section?    

Creo 8.0.11 The usage of "to ground" springs is not supported in non linear analysis but linear one is permitted. So I want better understand the main difference between them. SIMPLE    You can write a function to establish the relation F=k*x. Only one constant for linear and rotation movements; so if I want the point forced not only in 1 direction, I must lay other springs. It required two "supports", two ends that gonna be linked with spring. Version: Creo Parametric 10.0.4.0 I am trying to use the updated Manikin models.  When I try to move the manikin model Creo requires that I have access to some of the sub-models.   This makes using the manikin models more challenging.  I can move the manikin model around, but if I try to edit a joint, then manikin requires access to the lower level assemblies.   If all the models are read only, I can't continue.   The manikin model should need to write access to these lower level assemblies. (view in My Videos)
