Hello,I know the config option sketcher_refit_after_dim_modify to modify dimension without refitting the screen. But I need different option. I would like to start sketching without refitting. When I hit sketch button, whole part/assembly is fit to the screen, but I would like to not do so and stay exactly the same position where I started. Is this possible? Is there an option or config to disable refit at the start of sketching?Thank you so much and have a nice day.
Hi, I would like to create an assembly containing a number of parts and make it so that at each regeneration I can enter a value to a parameter that changes the material of all parts for me.Example:I create parameter MAT that can have value 0 or 1 depending on whether I want aluminum or copper.Assembly A containing parts B-C-D having Aluminum as material so parameter MAT equals 0.I regenerate and set the parameter value to 1 getting parts B-C-D with material Copper .How can I do something like this? Are there other ways to do this kind of operation?I use Creo 11 with the AAX extension.
When I have a sheetmetal part, can Jlink then check if it is a flat part without bends or it is one with bends?
Hi,I would like to simulate the vibration pipe stress with frequency response (FRA).The source of vibration came from motor in compressor that we know frequency input that simulate from 20 Hz to 100 Hz Load Set- Internal pipe pressure 3 bar- gravity load- torque from compressor The steps 1. Static analysis with pressure and gravity2. Prestress Modal analysis using the above static analysis for prestress.3. Run Frequency response dynamics analysis with torque varies on frequency. Are these steps correct? However, on FRA I don't know the amplitude. How can I find this amplitude? Also, There are 2 loading load functions and base excitation. My understanding this simulate should do the base excitation due to there are vibration from the base that pipe connected. Is this correct? Also, the what is the value in base excitation and how can I find the amplitude. And in the calculate that relative to Ground and Supports. What are different of this 2?&nb

I don't want to see the warning "Cannot set system parameter for CopyGeom function". This is annoying and has no added value. How can I set this warning to no longer appear? Workaround: See CS418177, needs to be done every time when changes are made, What we use it for: We use skeletons with Publish Geometries, they are published to several sub skeletons and parts Which causes each time a lot of warnings when changes are made to the skeletonsImpact on us:We have to deliver our models clean and clear without warnings Each time we have to edit the External Copy Geometry when the warning appears So it is time consuming when you have a lot of models where this occur
I encountered a problem "The value must be a real number" when I try to plot a graph. Please help me figure out the problem. I use Mathcad Express Prime and I have attached the file.
I am working on a project and would like to know if it is possible to access the images used when placing UDFs with the out-of-the-box UDF functionality. I want to place the UDF programmatically using named planes, axes, etc. However, if a plane, axis, or other feature is not found, I would like to show an image to help the user select the correct feature. Currently, I can place a UDF fully if all the named planes and features exist. I am looking for ways to handle situations where features are not found.
When using piping, you can select a material file in LineStock. When I select different materials, nothing happens to the pipe solids. When I change the Weight/Length, the weight of the pipe solids change. When I change piping_material_source to material_dir, again, nothing changes.Just want the pipes to get the right weight and appearance. Is this yet another Creo option that doesn't work or am I missing something?Using Creo 10
I'm creating a process plan (work instruction) of a design assembly. In the design assembly there is an 'included' item that appears in the tree. Seems the process plan module will not let me select this item for use in one of my assembly steps.. I can 'add' the identical assembly to the step but I'd really like to consume the one that already exists. I know the process plan module is a niche and probably gets little use by most but any help appreciated. Creo 8.0.0.0
I am looking for a way to prevent the pop-up dialog box on start-up that shows Advanced_Assembly_SET feature not obtained. Trail file:!%CIWelcome to Creo Parametric 8.0.0.0.! warn_lic_dlg: warning! : Features Not Obtained:! : Advanced_Assembly_SET! : EXPERT-MACHINE_SET~ FocusIn `warn_lic_dlg` `ok`~ Activate `warn_lic_dlg` `ok` This causes the ptcdbatch program to "hang-up" when running task actions. I need copy a spec driven piping assembly that is repeated a dozen times in my design. The only difference is the component PID numbers such as the valve numbers will be different. Is there a way to change or add these numbers after I have copied the piping assembly?
We're using Creo 4.0 which is integrated with TC 11.3. When wer're saving pdf from Creo to TC , PDF gets attached as Colored file. But we want it as monochrome. How to change that?
I have a question about variable definitions in programming. I have a program with two nested while loops. The second (nested) while loop balances forces in a structure. The first while loop updates a variable DeltaT until some additional criteria is met. DeltaT needs to update in the second (nested) while loop for the program to work. However, the updated value of DeltaT from the first loop is not being passed to the second loop. Why is this, and what can I do to fix the problem? Program is on page 8 of attached spreadsheet. Check and Check 3 demonstrate that the variable is not updating in the nested loop.
Title pretty much sums it up. Trying to pull the text from one drafting note and use it elsewhere. Technically in a table cell, but keep it related. Using 9.0.6.0
Every time I attempt to activate my PTC Mathcad Prime 10.0.1.0 I run into the following error in the "Acquire License" tab: "You have reached the maximum number of license requests available for your product type."
Hello everyone,I've been working as a working student with Creo for quite some time now, so I decided to use it for a university project. Therefore, I downloaded the Creo Parametric Student 10.0 version and I'm on the verge of despair because I can't seem to find or insert a drawing template frame.Unfortunately, the download didn't come with any frames or title blocks, and after intensive internet research, I still couldn't find any. I've already gone through all the relevant posts here as well. Can someone help me and provide an A2 or A3 frame for this version? I've already manually created the title block according to ISO standards, but I can't find the exact data for creating the frame with letters, etc.I would be extremely grateful for any help!!!
Hello PTC community,I'm trying to simulate the stress that results at the mounting points when an object is suspended by a crane using only two points. The stress is caused solely by gravity.I tried to simulate this by rigidly constraining the mounting points of the object, but I'm concerned that the simulated stresses will be significantly lower than in reality due to the rigid constraint. The center of gravity (COG) of the object is naturally located directly below the mounting points. Would it be better to ditch the gravitational load and instead apply a calculated force (F = m·g) directly to the bolt holes? If so, how should I constrain the model? Nothing seems to be working for me. I have attached a simplified sketch of the problem. Thanks for your help!
Hi Support Team, I am using Creo Adaptors 11.0. Based on our use-case I want to convert .PVS file into Readable xml and .xml into .pvs on server using java server side app. could you please guide how to achieve that ?
Microsoft is depreciating Visual Basic for Applications and is moving to JavaScript based office add-ins. The office add-ins do not support the COM model. How can I connect the office add-ins in JavaScript with the MathCAD API? The office add-ins do not support ActiveXObjects anymore, so the Add-in fails if you try to use: mathcad = new ActiveXObject("MathcadPrime.Application");
Can somebody please fix the error in the sheet attached? Solve block error
I am working with a C++ Toolkit program on Creo 10.0.5.0 that recursively searches through an assembly's parameters. The problem I am facing is when it runs into family table parts. When I attempt to retrieve the component features from a family table instance it only ever returns the components from the generic. So then when the code attempts to recurse on certain parts in the family table generic it fails because those aren't in the instance and therefor not in session. I have confirmed that the assembly I am reading parts from is the instance as GetFullName() returns filename<filename> corresponding with the instance.
Hello, I'm trying to create a pattern of slots where the center of the radius of the slot follows a curve but the spacing is driven by a linear dimension. Using Creo 10. Tried using pattern along a curve but the spacing distance is along the curve not linear. Unchecking the "Follow Curve Direction" allows the slots to remain parallel. Any suggestions? Thank you,Shane
I have begun evaluating Creo 7 and have noticed that any mapkey that imports a config file is creating flashing windows when executed. These same mapkeys did not cause flashing windows in Creo 4. I have the config option visible_mapkeys no this has no affect on the behavior of these windows in Creo 4 or 7 in the context of the mapkeys in question. Does anyone have any idea as to why the windows are now visible in Creo 7? Any ideas on how to not have mapkeys create any visible windows unless pausing for input? This is the mapkey that is the root cause of the behavior. Every mapkey that has this nested into the definition causes flashing windows to appear. !* Load config file mapkey .ifcp @MAPKEY_NAMEImport config .pro;@MAPKEY_LABELRead config;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Select `main_dlg_cur` `appl_casc`;~ Close `main_dlg_cur` `appl_casc`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdRibbonOptionsDlg` ;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Select `ribbon_options_dialog` `PageSwitch
Creo 8.0Hello!I am student using Creo for my CAD course.I am at the end of the project and I have to use the ISO M"x" screws, which schould be in the creo Standard library (the course says it) to "screw" some parts together. However the library don't appear, I thought it was because of the config.pro file but I'm not sure and, anyways, have no idea of how to correct it.Here are some screenshots,Thank you for your help, I wish you a beautiful day.
