Hi,I have to create three Datum Axes with name D, E, F, based on a custom Coordinate System ("CS_DEF"), which is rotated relative to the original (XYZ) coordinate system.My problem is that, if I create a Datum Axis based on the axis of the coordinate system, Creo puts the axis name on the opposite side of the direction of the coordinate system's axes.How can I move the name of the axis to the opposite side?thank you 

Hello All,Just wondering how people go about creating simplified models of sub assemblies. The specific thing I am working on is an assembly with several different bearings. While I want to keep the bearings in the assembly and it is nice they look like bearings when sectioned etc I would like to to simplify them. By simplify I mean ideally turn them into a single part. The bearings currently are as downloaded from the bearing supplier and each one has a dozen different parts. For this project I want to keep everything in a single folder and having lots of bearing parts is making it more difficult to see the other parts. Also I have to email assemblies and it would be better if the bearing was then just one part, instead of several. I could remodel the, but this seems time consuming and unnecessary. I also could Shrinkwrap them, but this creates external surfaces only.   Any recommendations would be appreciated.Thank you.

At present a customers uses IsoDraw CADProcess for creating cgm files with hotspots. Customers would like to switch from IsoDraw to Creo Illustrate, but hotspotting functionality is missing in Creo Illustrate.   Thank you and best regards, Jozef.

Hi All, My PTC supplier adviced me to reinstall Creo and update to a newer version to get rid of another issue.I used to work with 8.0.4.0 and now I'm on 8.0.12.0, the previous issue is gone but now I got an even worse issue back!In this new version I can't get mechanism constraints to work. No matter what I do I'm not able to finish the constraint since it keeps saying "Connection definition is incomplete".Normally when I make a simple "Pin connection" I select an axis or round surface to align, then two surfaces to determine the rranslation and when this is done a new definition set appears to define the rotation. Now it will never show this rotation definition and I can't finish the constraint either. Any idea what this could be? Can it be a setting somewhere or is it a bug in the software? Thanks in advance!

I want to hide a part of an assembly in one of the detail view of the drawing but the parent view must have that part to be shown.Can anyone help me on this.

So yeah , I was told that there wasn't a way to have Creo Illustrate deal with part change rolls of like XYZ-001 tolled to XYZ-002 without having to remarkup the whole dang file again.   Or deal with multiple versions of said file that were 95 percent the same with various small options that changed it.   Well figured it out.

Good day, I am a newly hired teacher at the HTL Rankweil. From there I got a user license for MathCad. I may have made two mistakes when activating the license. I had downloaded version 10.0.1.0. But my colleagues all use version 10.0.0.0. The license I was using may only be valid for 10.0.0.0 and not 10.0.1.0. That's why it stopped working the next day.   Or it was because I used my private email address when registering for the account and not the one that belongs to my school.   Today I wanted to activate version 10.0.0.0 with my school email address. Unfortunately it was not possible to open an account. My Mathcad application doesn't start, i tried to reinstall it but with no succes. It only shows that the application is in the taskbar, when i press on it a small window above the taskbar comes up and it is black. I urgently need your help for a project that i am working on for university. Thank you!

I have to use Mathcad prime for my engineering course and since it I cannot purchase it right now I have been using the 30 day trial. So once I started the 30 days I thought it would be fine for 30 days, but for whatever reason the trial period disappears after a couple days or a couple hours, putting me back in mathcad express. My work-around for a couple days was to reacquire the license through the licensing wizard. None of my friends have had this issue, and I have now 'run out of free trials' even though I would be halfway through my actual 30 day free trial.

So, I've been able to work through all the values so far but seems like I have a problem with the summation notation since the THD of alpha does not converge to a solution:

I was modifying the creo_parametric_admin_customization.ui in Creo 10. This .ui file gets put in the users loadpoint via our Creo startup scripts. I didn't realize that the .ui file contained the windows scale.  We can restore the old .ui file, but I would like the .ui file to not contain anything but the ribbon customizations. Is there a way to do that?

I encountered an interesting and maybe concerning problem in how MathCad solves its intergrals between different versions. In the version of MathCad I use (MathCad Prime 9.0.0.0.) the integral I wanted to solve and get an analytical expression to gave one answer. This answer is different from the answer you get on older MathCad versions. I noticed this from some old reports where this integral was solved via MathCad about 20 years ago and they get a different analytical expression. This expression you get from the older versions is also the same you get by solving the integral completely analytically (which you can do via variable substitution). The difference between the answers seem to be very little and the residual could just be some numerical truncation maybe, but as we can see the difference is not completely negligible depending on what you are after. Has anyone encountered something similar to this and know why this is the case? 

I'm trying to find the product code for Mathcad prime. How do I find this?

We have these models that we're viewing in Creo View that has thousands of objects in them.  Some of the objects in model have an associated wtpart but the source model file we have doesn't automatically link the model parts because we're not using Creo as our model.  Anyway, we can manually type in the wtpart number as a custom parameter in the source model and we can see it in Creo View. The question is, "Can Creo View automatically make a hyperlink to the wtpart if it recognizes that parameter as a wtpart number?"   The vision is that the user would click on the object in the model, then its parameters would come up, one of which being the wtpart number, and then the user would click the hyperlink and get to the wtpart page in Windchill.      Thanks       

I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.4.0Where can I find (Seat) working cad model?

We are starting to use AFX for designing frames built from standard aluminium profiles.We use Windchill and don't want to have all the separate profile lengths as their own CAD models and WTParts in there so we are planning to embed all the profiles created by AFX to the frame assembly. But we would like to get the different used profiles and their total lengths to Windchill.So I was planning to start using Bulk items in Creo for the profiles and associating them to the profile material items in Windchill. That way we would have the Windchill BOM of the frame to only include the needed profiles and their total lengths:But it's really laborous and error prone to measure the profiles one by one and tI can see that AFX has that information stored somewhere, because the BOM tables created by AFX can tell the used profiles and their total material needs.Can that information be accessed somehow and linked to the quantity parameter of the bulk items? That way we could automate the total profi
