I am writing to you to request clarification on an issue related to the definition and evaluation of variables in Mathcad. I am using PTC Mathcad Express Prime version 10.0.0.0. In the PTC documentation, it is mentioned that "Mathcad only recognizes variable definitions that are above or to the left of the variable evaluation. Otherwise, an error is returned." However, in my practice, I have observed the opposite: Mathcad recognizes the variable definition that is below and to the right of the variable evaluation, and if it does not, an error occurs. Additionally, I am experiencing a problem with unit labeling. When I try to label "a" as a drive, the label does not change when I select a new one from the list of labels. I thank you in advance for your attention to these concerns and I look forward to your response. We only have 1 license for Simulation Live. It only gets used sporadically among various users. Most people need access to it. When creo starts the license is not pulled but if anyone clicks on the Live Simulation tab, usually accidently, the license gets pulled and prevents others from being able to use it. I dont necessarily want to remove the tab from everyone's ribbon and have them load it manually when needed but that seems like my only option to prevent the license to be inadvertently used. Are there any other options out there? Seems like a pretty annoying flaw in the license design.
Hi,I have a model that I am working on and need to replace an instance with a different instance of the same part. When I go to my model tree and navigate to the instance, right click, and I don't see the "replace" option here. First time I've seen this issue, any tips? Some more information - Using Creo 8 with Windchill 12 Thanks
hello everyone, I am encountering a problem in Creo Parametric, during the creation of a sketch or an extrude. When I want to modify a distance, I double-click on the value, and a fraction of a second later it reverts to the original value. If you have already encountered this problem, I would appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.
Hi!I'm trying to run Mathcad Prime 9.0 through API. I downloaded the C# example solution and trying to open the application by pressing the button "Start Mathcad Prime". https://support.ptc.com/help/mathcad/r9.0/en/index.html#page/PTC_Mathcad_Help/API/example-2_ms_dev_studio.html# However, I get the following error: Problem to connect Mathcad Prime: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {A00E8B95-D415-433F-A04E-D298A54A7BB7} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)). I've been googling and using AI for few hours now to fix the problem, but nothing seems to solve the issue. Is there anyone here that could help? Thank you so much!
Version Creo 9 Good Morning. I received this as a step file which opens as a assembly. I am making one of the horizontal pieces about 17" longer. Because it is an assembly with no constraints already built in, I have to move and constrain all pieces next to the 17" lengthened pipe. Is there a way to just save this as a multibody part and make the change so that everything moves together?I have tried file and save as to see if I could just output it as a part but that doesn't seem like an option. I am used to Solidworks where everything is easier. Thanks in advance
How to remove collapsible area line while generating PDF in MATHCAD Prime
I am designing a piece and the shaft of it needs a 1.5 degree angle on in while keeping one side straight and I've done what I know but I was wondering if there was a different way I could actually use the angle instead of what I've got in the pictures. Or if there's any easier way to do this I would appreciate any help I can get thanks. I am on Creo Version 9.0.1.0
I've looked through some other topics, and it seems like there is currently no way to hide keywords and modifiers, is this correct? These types of calculations must always look cluttered? Also, when using explicit,ALL with any non-exact result, you always seem to get a full display of precision. Using Round(x,x) seems to work okay, but this only adds to the clutter of an already "explicit,ALL" cluttered calculation. Using float,x is not much better, if not worse. It seems like the only way to make a clean looking calculation is to double down calculations within areas that can be hidden. But these is a problem with this also... sigh...Not sure why the order of the values is backwards when you remove the "explicit,ALL" part. It doesn't seem to matter how you write the equation, 16in comes first, then 4ft. This would have been a decent workaround, if not for the annoying order in which the substitution is displayed. Can this be fixed? I honestly
Hello Everyone. From : To : So the question is : "solve x , y ?"Thanks in advance for your time and help.Best Regards.Loi
Are there any experts in the CREO NC processing programming function???No matter how I look at it, I don't know the difference between WORKPIECE and MILL VOLUME, can anyone tell me???
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.5.0When I start a mold analysis (mold flow), Creo merges my default template solid part with the part I'm analyzing. My default template has solid geometry in it so I get a merge between the part I want to analyze and my default template part. Even if I delete the template part, the analysis still includes it. It is using the file set by the config.pro option: template_solidpart. Creo 6 did not exhibit this behavior. Here are the errors that I facedThis shows up in the message window when I click on the "analysis" optionUsing the template default \\prod\root\Other_Drives\CAD-Ilox\Intralox_Molds\standard_components\startup_models\startup_mold_part.PRT as the template.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone has tried using Creo Illustrate with Creo Parametric models but using Siemens Teamcenter. I'm trying to find out if Illustrate can connect to Teamcenter, as that is a requirement for a new team I am working on if they want to consider using Illustrate. This team is on Creo 10.0.3.0 Thanks!
In my attached Mathcad 15 worksheet, I am trying to compute an IFFT of an analytic function of frequency for a know time function. To display the desired bandwidth, I have to use a large number of points. Time points = 2^m and frequency point = 2^(m-1) where m=24. The final plot will not plot due to the maximum plot points unless the step size is at least 70. The way I have reduced the plot points means there are only 2 points between the first time point and the next time point at step x Dt. I tried to do an interpolation from the original vectors to fewer time points; it ran forever. Maybe user error on the linterp function. Attached is the xmcd file. Auto calculation is turned off. The calculation time on my old PC is about 15 seconds.1. Can linterp not interpolate to fewer points?2. Is there a better alternative to what I have done? Thanks much.
I was wondering if anyone here has a powershell script that I can use to deploy CREO 9 through Configuration Manager. I can create a custom script to install but I would like to know what is needed to add the license and everything fully automated, perhaps an XML file that instructs the software.
How to solve this problem
I tried to find a solution this but so far no results. This works in Smath as is, but now I'm trying to transform all my formulas to new software, Mathcad does not seem to like how it is calculated. Can you tell me what I should do to make it work? lamda2*L2 can be calculated separatedly, but not within the formula..
Creo Student License Hi Everyone, I have student license(Creo Lab Pack) can I borrow this license like Floating license?, anyone can help me
Hello everyone, there is one function, in relation, wich returns a parameter representing the number of components in an assembly. It would be the equivalent of the &rpt.qty parameter present in the tablereport or the %$quantity parameter present in the BOM configuration file. Many thanks for your time, greetings Luca.
I often have large arrays created by reading big .csv files. When I want to navigate through these arrays, it is often difficult to precisely locate the spot I want due to the behavior of dragging that inset dark box within the large light grey one. I've searched the forums and other sources for a keyboard navigation technique for Prime, but cannot find one. Is there a way to incrementally navigate through an array...like we used to be able to easily do in "Mathsoft" Mathcad? Maybe there is some Windows adjustment that will work, but I've already turned-down the sensitivity of my pointer and selected "Enhance pointer precision"...
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I can't seem to figure it out. There are several posts that show examples of explicit working quite well, but for some reason I can't get it to work. Here is what I'm trying to replicate:And this is what I get: Also, is there any way to hide the whole "explicit,a,b,c" part? Thanks in advance.
Hi - how do I tell Mathcad Prime to include an initial condition when symbolically integrating? I want the initial value of my function to be 0.1 at time t=0. See attached. thank you, russ
We are migrating to creo 8 and noticed when the Model tree is separated in a different window, the left window is not showing the layer tree by default as it shows the FOLDER BROWSER instead (IMO, useless at this point). How do i get Creo to show the Layer tree everytime i open new windows? I can not seem to find the answer to my Q in the help or support pages. Creo 5 shows the Layer display on the left and Model tree floating on the right. each time I open a new window. Since I work in the routed systems stuff, all I ever do is switch between parts and assemblies all day long. I dont care for having to turn the Layer tree on every time (2 extra clicks everytime I open a window)
Hi there, I used Creo Parametric Version 9.0.3.0. I don't have stl option when I click "save as". Dose anyone have this same issue? Thank you in advance for your help!
I recently get into the world of CAM, and in my factory we acquired a 4 axis milling machine an double column machine, But i'm not really good designing post processor and i'm wondering if you have something similar with 4 axis and vertical Z Axis, Thank you.
