Hi,I have this matlab code and I want to translate it to Mathcad Prime. I tried below one way, but maybe someone can implement better.Matlab: Mathcad Prime 9: And if I remove evaluation of t, the the plot does not work anymore: And then how to make this difference/calculation:
I'm trying to solve multiple unknowns using solve blocks but they don't seem to work. Is there another way to do this?
Hey, I'm trying to make a simulation on Creo Flow Analysis and verify how far a particle is launched by colliding with a rotating part, similar to a fan. What I have tried so far was to make one domain with the fan and where the particles exists, made everything spin and released the particles in the middle, that created a motion but it doesn't match the real blade motion related to the particles. Then I've tried splitting the domain, but when I added the detached domain, as fluid domain and tested with solid domain too, the particles just ignored it, but affected the air motion (only in fluid domain, I've made it rotate faster and it interfered with the particles trajectory). So the problem is, how can I make a rotating object to collide with the particles without interfering the place where the particles are released? The particles may be released at any position above the rotating fan. There is a way to make particles interact with multiples domains?Ther
Good Morning, I have some difficulty with the English language. My company recently purchased a Creo 10 license. I was wondering if it is possible, and I hope so, to be able to convert parts of surfaces into a solid part by knowing the thickness. Thank you
Hi,recently bought the printer mentioned. today i'm working with the software provided by the printer manufacturer for the sake of adding support & slicing etc. As a next step I would like to print the model directly trough Creo ( 11 ). did any of you have an experience with that ? any specific tips or suggestion ? Many thanks,
CREO 9.0 student version says license lost. I klick retry a warning comes up then then CREO crashes. I have tried doing a new install but nothing changes, I suspect there is something wrong with the license but can't get a new one.
This is driving me crazy. It seems to start happening at random, and it goes away randomly too. See the video. Im trying to rotate the part. The second I click on any of the rotate handles in the 3d dragger, the part moves and I cant control it anymore, meaning I keep clicking and it keeps moving, and I cant get it to rotate the way I want (or at all). Im on 8.0.8.0 Any idea how to make this go away? thx(view in My Videos)
hi, I have a problem with the extrusion of this component. I created the snail through the boundary blend, now to create the straight part of the inlet I'm making an extrusion but I would like this not to intersect the blend so as to leave a void at this point:
Hi,I am trying to configure the new MCP10 Text Box Advanced Controls.I want to use the Text Box as a PASS/FAIL display but I am having two issues.1) How do I pass more than one input into the Text Box? Currently, I can only add one input.2) How do I display text that is a result of the JScript routine in the box? (similar to how the Advanced Controls demo was shown in MCP10 promo, i.e., PASS = green, FAIL = red and so on).Currently, because I cannot pass slider_test and Limit into the Text Box, I have manually set Limit = 5 in JS (testing code). var slider_test; // Define the external variablevar test;var Limit;var limit;function TextBoxEvent_Start(Inputs, Outputs) {// Assign the value of 'slider_test'slider_test = Inputs[0].Value; // Ensure this correctly gets the input valueLimit = 5; // Ensure this correctly gets the input valuetest = slider_testlimit = Limit}function TextBoxEvent_Exec(Inputs, Outputs) {// Output "PASS" or "FAIL" based on the value of '
Does anyone know what algorithm is used for the various FFTs in MATHCAD 15?Thanks,Reg
Hi,As I have this equality: I see that I received 2 different answers out of the solve block for V2 and IE, though both systems of eq are the same...V2 and IE should not be the same for both cases?
Hello Everyone. From : To : So the question is : "solve x , y ?"Thanks in advance for your time and help.Best Regards.Loi
Hello, I have a multibody part (prt0001) that is a clam shell design containing two bodies. I want to create two drawings - one of one half of the part (Body 1), and one for the other half (Body 2). Any solutions that I haven't tried below would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance 🙂 I attached the part and drawing I am referencing below. I have some solutions, but none of them are exactly what I want:1. Create a new part that references the Body in prt0001. (This is less than ideal because you cannot bring in any dimensions from the original part. All dimensions must be manually placed, which is a lot of unnecessary work).2. Create two drawings for prt0001 containing both bodies. Hide all bodies you don't want to see when you are ready to export. (However, this stinks because the user needs to remember to hide other bodies, and then hide other bodies in the model. Far less than ideal, especially if you are working on both parts at one time).3. I tried using C
How do you move the location where the note starts in a mm drawing template? In our inch drawing template the note starts where we want (in the upper left corner). However, in our mm drawing template the note starts in the lower left corner. It isn't hard to move, but we want it to start in the same place everytime. Thanks!

We use the PRO_MP_MASS parameter for our weight calculation and as a value on our drawing. To ensure everybody is executing the mass calculation the setting mass_property_calculate is set to report_outdateness_only (or check_upon_save). A warning For normal assemblies these settings are ok.But in assemblies where we use flexible component (e.g. a spring or a folded flexfoil) the mass properties of the assemblies keep outdated every time the assembly is opened. Even a bottom up mass calculation of all parts and finally the assembly will not help. Because after closing and re-open the assembly, the assembly shows "outdated mass properties".How to solve, or block this?
I have similar question to this, but different. Lets say my assembly has the following structure: MAIN ASSEMBLY --SUBASEEMBLY1 --PART1 (inside SUBASSEMBLY1) --PART2 (inside SUBASSEMBLY1) --SUBASEEMBLY2 --PART3 (inside SUBASSEMBLY2) --PART4 (inside SUBASSEMBLY2) I want a note to say the name of highest level model tree element, not the lowest level. The method described in this topic results in lowest level item appearing in the note: if i point it to PART1 then the note says pn of PART1 I want to show the PN of the highest level model tree item PN to where the pointer is attached. So my goal is to attach the note to PART1 or PART2 and have the note saying the PN of SUBASSEMBLY1 I am using expression: &PTC_WM_NUMBER:att_mdl I am on Creo 9 Is this possible? If not directly, then any are there any workarounds how to achieve this? Thank you!

I need to create a mapkey to create the name of 2D drawing based on the 3D part but adding some extra strings on it for example,If the 3D part name is V132000430010, then when I call the mapkey it will create a 2D drawing named DV1320004300100-000 that means I need to add D< Genereted name >0-000. HiAs I could read here Ext-Packs I can remember the very useful Extentions packs for Mathcad version 15 but are these also for Prime 10.0 or Prime 6.0 available? And are these Ext Packs the same for Prime?THanks
Hello, I have some performance issues with Creo working with Windchill:When I open an assembly 3D model with Windchill, sometimes it takes a very long time (about 15 minutes), but other times it is quite fast. So, I checked the trail file to find out what happened when Creo opened slowly. The trail file shows:(the codes are changed verytime)After Creo loads "jc120301000a98," it tries to load some items from my local disk, taking 15 minutes. My questions are: What are these local items? Why does Creo try to load them from my local file system (the directory is where my "config.pro" is located)? Why does it sometimes take a long time and other times load very fast? Is there a method to avoid the long loading times? When I try to open this assembly 3D model in a local folder, Creo also tries to load these items. And here is the structure tree:
The result for the steady-state temperature (modeling it numerous different ways) is consistently T=364 K. But the result according to Power=s*e*A*T^4 should be T=314.63 K when I use:A=Area=1m^2 (modeled as a solid or as a surface sphere using shell elements)e=emissivity=1.0Power=power generated within Sphere= 1000W The assumption is this is a sphere in space that does NOT have any solar flux adding heat to it.Why is the answer so different from theoretical? I'm needing to use thermal radiation for the first time for some space equipment and am wondering whether there is a way to do things that will yield correct results for radiation. Thanks. I am using Creo 11.0
Have something weird going on, only applies to a certain assembly. Its linked to the group i think.Any of the sub assembly items within that group, i cant change its view status (Ctrl +h / Hide button)I can hide the group as a whole, just not the individual items inside that group. When i try to do that the "hide/view" icon changes (the strike through on the eye appears/disappears) but the actual items are still visible.i can also hide parts inside those sub assemblies individually.I can also use other groups inside this assembly as normal, only on the one group.I cant see anything different within layer tree either. Hi - in the attached Prime 9 worksheet my last line (solving for the only unknown, L subscript 4) hangs. The variable L subscript 4 is the only unknown in the equation. Is there a better way to solve for it than what I'm doing here? thanks, russ
