Hi Folks, Here's a problem I saw on Dell laptop a while back and now have on my new desktop - a Dell running Windows 11. I made a simple function of x and y. It looks fine as a contour plot, but the 3D plot won't render. Has anyone else seen this? This is the only graphics related problem I've had with either machine, so it doesn't feel like a driver issue. Thanks for your attention 🙂 Mark
Hi, I'm new to Toolkit development, I'm using Creo Parametric 8I'm developing a feature where to check Solid part with certain name say "X" already in an assembly if not I'm creating new part with API ProAsmcompMdlnameCreateCopy().Problem is whenever there is part of with same name "X"(which is not assembled) in session or Current working directory it throws me an error PRO_TK_GENERAL_ERROR (-1).I explored found API ProSessionMdlList() to get all model in session. This may be partially solves the problem.Using loop I can avoid creating new part. But I don't know how to check in Current working directory or any other specified location. Please help me out.If there is any better way for this problem, I highly appreciate it. Thanks, in advance!
I have several measured data sets. Each dataset will result in a curve with y-axis (ordinate) is its magnitude (in dB) and with x-axis (abscissa) is angle (in degrees). There is fairly large equal spacing between points along their respective abscissa axis, and with accuracy important for this work, interpolation was necessary. I chose to work with a cubic spline to avoid the Runge issue near boundaries. As you'll see in the attached worksheet, each curve is not perfectly symmetric about zero. Some peak near zero, and some curve's peak is much further away. The goal is to automatically determine an accurate estimate of the angle where the curve's value is 3 dB below the level of the maximum. There should be two such angles - one on either side of zero. Unfortunately, I'm having difficulty making the symbolic solve and/or solve block to work on just one dataset. But the goal of course is to potentially program this to autom
Hello everyone, I am encountering difficulties setting up a 2D interpolation in Mathcad. My objective is to determine the parameters A, B, C, and D for two given inputs: ratio "r" and delta "δ." The dataset is categorized into four groups based on Ratios: 0.25, 0.5, 2, and 4. Each group is associated with a specific set of Deltas and corresponding parameters A through D. While I have managed to interpolate within a single Ratio group, my challenge arises when attempting to interpolate for a ratio value that falls outside these defined groups, such as 3.5. Attached is my Mathcad Prime 7 worksheet for reference. I appreciate any assistance you can provide. Note: When the delta input "δ" exceeds the highest Delta value in a given Ratio group, the output should correspond to the highest Delta record's values, as extrapolation beyond this point is not allowed.
Hi, I am working on an assembly where the order of operations is unknown (i.e. up to the fabricator to decide). Because of this, I have defined my hole features at the top level assembly level and expected to use the "Display level" option in the manual intersect mode to push the holes to the part level of the plate. This should give me the option later to remove it easily from the part level if desired without having to suppress or replace the features at different levels. I expected the hole note to transfer seamlessly, which it does after some troubleshooting on references to make sure the "Show Feature Properties" doesn't fail. The issue now is that the leader is missing at the part level and there doesn't seem to be any option to make it appear. I'm looking for solutions and/or insight on how to use the interesect tab with proper intent. TIA.
In Creo-8 i am trying to make a quilt form with a surface sweep, but unfortunately, in creo-8 sweep always default comes with a solid, am not seeing an option to create a surface sweep. Due to this am not able to select the quilt form.
I was looking at Wikipedia to find out if a given type of matrix had a particular name (like the Zero or Pascal matrices do). At the end of one article, there was a link to the category of Array Languages, so I had a quick look and ... Mathcad wasn't on it. In fact, there are are a plethora of places, inside and outside of Wikipedia, that I would expect Mathcad to show up, but it rarely does. Even the Infobox on the Mathcad Wikipedia article isn't up to date - it's showing Prime 5.0 as the latest release. I was wondering if PTC's marketing people had any kind of remit to keep the most common websites, etc up to date and to ensure that Mathcad has a reasonable web presence? Stuart PS. I added Mathcad to the Array Programming Languages category (plus about a dozen more). Does anybody know if there's a special name for a matrix of sequential integers?
I received 2 license files and I tried both. (No difference.)I configured the license (pointed to one of the 2 files) and I got this:But then when I run Mathcad, it acts like it has no license:What's going on?
I am trying to configure the Trial license version for Mathcad Prime 9, this is the error message I get when I try to configure using the file I received via email:Failed to configure license for PTC Mathcad Prime 9.0.0.0: Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\PTC\Mathcad Prime\MathcadPrime.exe.V7.config' is denied.
Can I set priority to loading format files in the same folder as the drawing, instead of loading files in the format folder specified in the configuration file?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.2.0Auxiliary Applications toolkit file running but not able to see it under tool kitHere are the errors that I facedThere is no error or warning message, the toolkit is running properly in Auxiliary applications window, problem is that tool kit not show up in Creo7.0. it works well with same setting before, now the toolkit icon disappear even it shows running after registered. wondering anything block the path or other issues.
HiI'm using Creo version 10.0.3.0Is there any possibility in aforementioned version of Creo to make multi body part from the assembly. thanks & RegardsDilip
This month’s challenge is based on a modeling problem I’ve seen throughout my decades in aerospace. An isogrid is a repeating rib structure that adds strength with low additional mass. Although it may appear simple, modeling it in CAD can be difficult, especially when you need to place it on a non-planar surface. Public domain image courtesy of NASA and Wikimedia Commons. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is as follows: Beginner to intermediate: Model an isogrid on a flat surface. Expert: create an isogrid on a cylindrical, conical, or radome surface. The isogrid can have a size / spacing of your choice and can be placed on the interior or exterior surface. (If placing on the interior, I highly recommend creating a cross section to make it visible.) Optional: add fillets to the interior “vertical” edges. For this challenge, you can choose to ignore the center circular post and hole as depicted in the pictures. You can focus on the vertical sides of the i
I am trying to Simulation fluid flow around a rocket body in creo, I am attemptiing to use the simulation live feature but my university computers and personal computer do not have the necessary computing hardware. What and how do I use the simulation cloud, I've tried contacting the PTC tech support but they were no help.
Hi everyone, we wanna develop a function whitch would auto create a dimension to represent the length of specific edge in drawing mode. I found a few descriptions in web.link user guide. "The method pfcEmptyDimensionSense.Create() creates a newdimension sense associated with the type DIMSENSE NONE. The sense field isset to Type In this case no information such as location or direction is needed todescribe the attachment points. For example, if there is a single attachment whichis a straight line, the dimension is the length of the straight line." There comes two question. First, is there supported API to get every edge's length so we could make comparison to find out the longest edge. Second, if we could find the longest one, is there some snipped code could be refereced to really build up the dimesion like below ?
I have an old drawing file and I opened it in Creo Drawing 8.0 and want to create a Raster of that file. Can anyone please help me with how I can create it?
I set the 2d_palette_path in my config.pro to a location on Windchill (also tried desktop) and the path is not changing. The sketcher palette is still only showing the symbols located in the ptc directory\Common Files\text\sketcher_palette this is an example of what i am putting in the config.pro2d_palette_path C:\Users\username\Desktop What am I missing? Why doesn't the path or symbols that are available changing as expected?
Hello, the unbend command in the attached file fails. Can you help?
Dear community, Unfortunately, I have no experience with numerical integration. Now I am confronted with this problem (detailed description in mcdx). I hope that one of you can help me to solve the problem. Many thanks Michael
Hi folks, I am quite new to Creo so please this might be a very silly question. I am using Creo 8.0.How do I change colour of a part in a section view?In the 'model' mode, when I create a section view, the section face of the part is different from the original model colour. Can I change the colour freely or there's a default colour? If this is not possible, can I change the colour in a section view on the drawing? Thanks indeed!
I am trying to use the Creo Simulation Wizard. I am running into a problem with the domains. I am trying to select my singular part as the solid domain for external fluid flow but it will not select it and will not create a bounding box. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
How to arrive Centre of gravity point in overall vehicle (Tractor/Car) layout.Available data are1. Wheel base/Wheel Track2. Tyre Details3. Over all vehicle layout cad assembly/parts (In virtual only. Not physical)4. Overall weight of the vehicle Front and Rear reactions are not available.I am using CREO-4 parametric. Kindly suggest to find the COG point in virtual layout assembly.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150Pro/Library: is it possible to include more columns using *mnu files in addition of Name, Description? We would like to see more columns bases on existing parameters. See picture files attached.
I am having no luck in applying servomotors to mechanisms. I have done it in the past but either I Am missing some step or creo is not functioning. Using manufacturer supplied assemblies was my first thought for source of failures. so I manually redefined the piston to the cylinder. no luck. Then I made a super rudimentary piston/cylinder assy. nope. I can drag the piston and the limits work as intended in the model. However, in mechanism, I can only get a partial move then it fails with errors. error msg with 2 servos: All position constraints can't be simultaneously satisfied. The following position constraints can't be satisfied:1) Servo motor constraint for servo motor Motor 1 in model 62205K194_NO_THREADS_HYDRAULIC_ can't be satisfied. 2) Servo motor constraint for servo motor Motor 2 in model 62205K194_NO_THREADS_HYDRAULIC_ can't be satisfied. or with a single servo:All position constraints can't be simultaneously satisfied.
hey everyone,i am having issues that i hope someone can help with. when checking an older iteration or revision of an assembly, the items underneath have updated to the latest version, despite the copy not having revision n+1 at the time or a completely different part. i understand this might be because i didn't have the workspace cleared but in essence, how would i open/ check an older iteration without needing to clear the workspace/ new workspace each time?is there also no way to force an exact revision for everything in the structure tree?
