Is it possible to add horizontal and vertical grid lines that are, very often, seen in graphs? PTC Mathcad's plot has no lines - as default. I don't see anything in the Plots ribbon that makes these lines appear. The original Mathcad had the ability to add horizontal and vertical lines onto the graph. I did find markers that could be added in PTC Mathcad - but, I could only delete one of these makers. After deleting the first marker the "delete marker" button became gray and therefore stopped functioning. Now, I'm stuck with three markers on this plot. I'd like to be able to delete all of these markers at will - if at all possible. see screen capture. EDIT: This is how I'm adding a plot to MathCAD PTC: Plot > Insert Plot > XY Plot(see second screen capture)
Hi All, I'm using PTC Creo 8.0 with simulate basic extension. I'm running into a very simple problem but can't find the right solution yet.To visualize the issue I made a simple strip with holes on both ends.In one hole I created a bearing load in the length direction of the strip. In the other hole a pin contraint.I my world this should give the same stress results in both holes. After all: "For every action in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction". But as shown in the screenshot below it isn't the same at all..I've already been testing with different solutions, but none of them resulted in equal results. Most close so far was to divide the hole in different regions and connect the upper region with a point in the center with a rigid link. However this means a lot of trial and error with the size of the region which is not very practical and very time consuming Somebody here knows what the right solution is? Thanks in advance!
Hello everyone,i'm trying to take a measure in Creoview but is impossible to select the edges. The selcection is possible only onsurfaces but i have need to take a measure from center to center(image 1).The file output is a pvz generated from Creo illustrate or native solidworks (0457033.zip).Is there any set to do this? PS: I'm using Creo view MCAD ty,Matteo
Hello, my company has bought 4 student licences for MathCad. I have created an account and am trying to download the software but keep getting the message 'Our records indicate that your company does not have a current PTC Global Support agreement' and the SON is not associated with customer number, can you assist please. I have tried clearing my web browser cache etc but nothing is working.ThanksAndy
I have a vendor that is asking for a 2D dxf file for their software. What is the best way to export (if there is one) to a 2d dxf file.
Good Morning. I am a new user for Creo schematics 9.0. I would like to use our company formats rather than default templates. Can you pls guide me how to retrieve other formats/Templates in Creo?
Why when you pick a feature in a part on the screen it only highlights the feature in the model tree under bodies??? This is dumb and should be changed to highlight the feature in tree in its location, not under bodies. PLEASE FIX A.S.A.P. It is better to know where it lies in the tree structure, not the body.
Was on Creo 3, just upgraded to Creo 10. I'm not happy with the new GTOL features. It seems significantly more limited than it was in Creo 3. From videos online, it seems the upgrade happened in Creo 4. Main gripes:1. What happened to the ability to select placement (i.e. free note, leader, tangent leader, in dim, in GTOL, etc)? You can select a reference but the ability to select how you want it displayed is greatly limited.2. I'm attempting to add a feature control frame to a hole note. It's not possible and gives a very wonky result. There's no way to correct this within the GTOL.I found this suggestion which I can't get working, and it's a poor workaround for what was functionally possible in Creo 3 anyway.Solved: how to place a GTOL on a hole note - PTC Community3. Tangent GTOL leaders (i.e. flatness and parallelism). There's no option to flip the direction of the FCF. You're stuck with whatever orientation it gives you. (EDIT: This seems to work on horizontal but not vertica
How does everyone go about attaching geometric feature control frames to surfaces via an existing witness line (I'm on Creo 6 btw)? There are some quirks when attempting to make this happen, you have to make the leader on the FCF go "tangent" so it hides along the existing witness line. Then, one must hide the arrow. If the FCF was attached to an existing size dimension, the FCF leader can be moved such that there is a gap between the FCF leader and the part object lines. (see attached images). You can alter the position of the FCF to left or right of the witness line by holding the shift key while dragging it left or right. (I suppose it's best not to question the reasoning behind such an unintuitive/obscure methodology for this). If you attach the FCF directly to the surface, you cannot get a gap between the FCF leader and the part object lines. Very frustrating. There is an old post here: https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/No-break-between-witness-li
Hello, I'm using Creo Parametric 8.When I try to replace a model of a view the OK button is still greyed out. I am seeking clarification on whether the "Replace by Reference Model" option is designed for specific cases or if it is intended for use with any model replacement.
Good morning. We use Pro/TOOLKIT to explore and analyze PTC CAD files from a Windows executable program. To do this, we launch Creo via ProEngineerStart() then we load a file into Creo via ProMdlLoad() and finally we browse the different entities present in the file such as for example geometric tolerances via ProMdlGtolVisit(). My question is: Is it possible to access the reference feature ID of a geometric tolerance from a Pro/TOOLKIT function? I am attaching a screenshot in which you can see the procedure to follow to view this information in Creo. Thank you in advance for your help. Sincerely. Hi, I'm trying to move my license to a new host ID. I am now in the software deinstallation agreement but even I keep pressing "I agree" nothing happens. The agreement window doesn't close and doesn't proceed to the next step. Please help. Thanks
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.5.0We have made bends tables for spec driven piping in .csv format that match the examples shown. The only difference is we have a range for min and max radius where as your examples show the same size for radius, min, and max. The issue is that we can't change the bend radius for piping. when you go under modify>corner segment and select the corner you want to change the bend radius pick list is greyed out even though we have a range of radii to choose from.
Hello, today I've been trying to start contact simulation of some sort of an assembly. (sorry can't do any screenshots or give a model)I've started slowly and made my way as smooth as possible to make sure results are valid. 1. geometry was prepeared acording to drawing documentation2. adding simulation features3. doing small sub assemblies to check if everything is connected4. finally adding time dependent force to act on assymbly and boom nothing is working. Spending 8more hours to find the error. Nothing has been found everythin has been checked. and than after 12 hours of search and tests i'm turning back Time dependence from my table defined function back to ramp(predefined function) and somehow it starts to work without any problem. Has anyone of you met this problem??? What should i do next. It is 5 full workdays to completely rebuild model from scratch. I don't want to(
Using Creo 9.0.1.0I have a drawing program watching the state in Windchill (InWork, Under Review, Released, etc) as the state changes the drawing program updates a parameter with a message displayed on the border of the title block (“InWork - not for production use”)I need to update that program to include a new state with a new message. Right now the drawing program is unique to each drawing file. Is there a setting to reference a file that can be updated in a single location? Or any way to make a bulk update using a script Creo|SON or anything other than opening each file every time a program update is needed?
In my creo's manage file window lock file or unlock file option is not available. is there any configuration setting needs to be changed for that??
Hi, I have a question about splitting a surface in Creo 7.The face in question looks like this. I would like to split this surface where the line is. See picture. This due to me wanting to draft the faces opposite direction, one CW and one CCW of the hinge above. Product in question is to be molded, therefore the desired features. Can this be done using Creo 7.0.7.0? Best regards, Fredrik
Hi, I have to make flexible a subassembly for use it in double copy in an assembly. I have to change independtly, for the two identical and flexible subassembly, the inclination angle of a pin constraints. How can I do it? Best regards, Michele Barile
Dear forum In Euler-bernoulli theory, I am solving numerically the frequency and mode of the problem in which both ends are supported by springs in the vertical sagging of beams. Through this, the mode of the continuous beam is intended to be represented as a picture. In the paper for reference, the angular frequency was calculated using MATLAB's system variable 'K' and "Inline function". MATLAB from reference.reference) Impacts of various boundayr conditions on beam vibrations. Ye Tao, 2015My code is as attached. I need help on how to implement this with MATCAD. When trying to implement using MATHCAD in the same way, it is difficult to solve the equation using a function and find each solution as the number of frequencies increases. Inquire about how to apply the function to this.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode 9.0.1.0I need to upload a transparent image into a Creo format file (.frm). I can upload images into the format files but Creo always gives them a white background. I have tried to insert transparent images of many different file types and none have retained their transparent background once uploaded into Creo format.
Creo10 bug, export DWG with stroke all charactors, then open it with AutoCAD. there are two small points in the front and back of dimension. and the dimension txt height is 0.0001, width factor is 0.1, there are not this issue with creo9, 8, 6, 5.I have try all the export setting, but it make no sens, anyone can help?
I recently installed Creo 10 to work with an existing parts and assembly database created using Creo 6. On creating drawings from these files, when I attempt to edit parametric dims and/or hatch patterns I get the above message. The parent part and assembly files are stored on a local drive of a Creo PC licensed using Floating Licensing. The file permissions on Windows dont appear to be an issue - I can edit and save the part and assembly files in Creo. Using the Read Only functionality in the Part and Assembly modelling environment shows the features in the parts to all be unlocked.I'm stumped. Can anyone suggest what the problem might be?Tony Owens
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.5.0 Good morning,I would need to know which electrical CAD is more compatible with Cabling between "Siemens Capital" and "Zuken" to be able to do 2D imports and exports ----------------------------------------- Translated text from Italian to English using google translate. hello everyone why I can't find the shaft and hole in the first drawing.what should I do to make the shaft or hole option apperance, like the second picturethanks in advance.
Hi everyone, is it possible to display for example the streamlines for a specific time step after I already ran the simulation? For example I simulated for 1 second and I want to see how the streamlines behaved at 0.5 seconds. Is this somehow possible?I'm using Creo 4.0 Best regards,Dominik
