I'm still learning the Creo features.I would be grateful if you could help me.I was checking out the Demo for the Enhanced Pattern feature.As you can see in the picture, there is a hole in the shape.When I checked the task tree on the left, I saw that the Extrude item contains reference elements. I tried to do something like this, but it was not possible to implement it like the method in the Demo except to set the reference element first and then Extrude. How can I Extrude like in the demo? 

Good evening,   I am having problems licensing my Mathcad 9! I am a student at a university in Austria, computer science branch, and got a product key from my teacher. I redeemed it at school, where everything still worked and I could use Mathcad 9 without any problems. But when I wanted to do my homework at home, my software was unlicensed. I tried to re-license it with my user + password + product key (the same one I used at school) and with the license file that was sent to me when I licensed myself at school. However, neither of these worked. When I want to activate my key at home with user, password, and license key I get this error (see picture in the attachment). When I am back at school and connected to the school wifi, I can select my license file and use Mathcad 9 normally.   Kind regards, Philip

Hello,My company is migrating from Mathcad 15 to Mathcad Prime 9.0. We have a number of Python scripting files that generate Mathcad 15 files by creating the XML data needed to generate and access Mathcad 15 files. In Mathcad Prime 9.0, it looks like the files are not purely XML data. There appears to be some sort of header and footer data, in addition to the XML data. Is there information on what the header and footer data is? Additionally, the Python scripts internal to my company just puts together a string of characters to generate the XML data. Would this work in Mathcad Prime 9.0? I need to convert the files to support Mathcad Prime 9.0, but it doesn't appear to be as straightforward as I thought.   

Hi, how can I represent an assembly with 2 different configuration (sets of constraints) of subassembly?I realize the snapshot of the 2 configuration of subassembly.When I put the subassembly in 2 upper level assembly, if I recall a snapshot in one of this assembly, it put the same configuration in the other assembly: I want to mantain 2 different configurations in the 2 different assembly. Best regards, Michele Barile

Hi, every time I open a particular assembly, I find some parts hided, in the principal representation and, every time I have to run the show all command (Ctrl+Shift+H). How can I show definitively again all the hidden parts?Best regards, Michele Barile

Hello Team, I’ve developed a Visual Basic API based Creo application. I’ve deployed it in my machine, it is working fine. When I deployed to other end user machines, the application is not working. Below is the error,  I’ve correctly set the Environmental variables and registered VB-Api in client end user machine as well. Can you please resolve this?Tried updating Dot Net Framework to V4.7.2 as well.     

Can anyone tell me how to upgrade my Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express? I had been running the free version on a laptop that I replaced and when I loaded Express on the new laptop I got version 8.0. The old laptop has 6.0. I occasionally run the old laptop in my shop to check a model and can't share a model between them due to the difference in versions.

When publishing a PVZ file from Creo Parametric, the message log will state something along the lines of:  Publish completed - # Errors # Warnings  When # is not 0, how can I actually read what those errors and/or warnings are? I tried generating a log with the published PVZ, but the resulting log is fairly unhelpful, simply stating what was published, where it was published to, and with which recipe file. 

Hello, i would like to know if there is any possibility to import stress map to Creo.We have sheetmetal parts that are made using press and we know what stresses are inside of it. But we need to simulate it and check if stresses are in allowed range. How can i import initial stredded data to creo simulate?

I should be able to edit/modify the global coordinate system (CSYS) when starting a new part.  But when I open the Edit Definition dialog, the Origin and Orientation tabs are greyed out; inaccessible.  I don't understand why.  

I want to make a mapkey, which converts a *.stp file into a *.prt file. First step is to convert it into a *.sat file using save as. with a pauseThat saveas name should be reused when naming the  the final *.part.How can I get the mapkey to read, store and give the final *.prt that name?

Hello, The Maximize function does not work properly in the following case - I need to calculate the worst case error in a current measurement circuit where x, y, z, y, v, w are the sources of error (resistors, opamp gain, offsets, temperature dependance coefficients) and a, b are the current and the temperature which I would like to be parameters so that I can plot later the worst error versus current and temperature. The Maximize function gives the correct answer - all variables saturated at their maximums only for CTOL=10^-9 - this is completely strange and unacceptable behavior! For CTOL=10^-10 the solution is erroneous and also for any other CTOL up to 10^-21: I guess these Maximize and Minimize functions are really nor working well with somewhat more complex examples which unfortunately are present in the real engineering practice!

When you want to create or edit a round or chamfer you should see your selections in the "Sets" column, you could select a set from the "Sets" tab and edit individual model edges, this no longer seems available, you can see the sets in the "Pieces" tab and add or delete sets but not individual edges. I am using Creo 4.0 M100. In the youtube video https://youtu.be/XkNwr49vGEw?si=P_WVyUhm12UAtiR1 you can see him using the "Sets" tab, this no longer works for me, when I click on it nothing appears. you used to able to edit individual edges in a set, for instance if you had selected a large set of edges in a set and one of the edges caused the the feature to fail you could locate the one edge in the "sets" column, remove it and carry on, if you try that in the "pieces" column you only get the option to remove the entire set, which means if it is a large set you have to select all the edges again.    

Hello, I'm trying to import a drawing file to the prt selected by creo using ProSelectionDrawingGet. However, the error PRO_TK_E_NOT_FOUND appears and cannot proceed. Looking at the meaning, it means no associated drawing found, but I have a drw file in the model file. I would appreciate it if you could let me know if I misunderstood this function or if it was used incorrectly. Thank you. 

HiWhen I have a collapsible area followed by a page break and I close the area,empty pages remain above the page break (see attached file with an example).I didn't have this problem with Mathcad 15. In addition with Mathcad 15 I was able to set page breaks inside a collapsible area, which is veryhandy option when the collapsible area is relatively large. To my understanding naming of areas is also missing from Prime... Any ideas how to solve these problems? Thanks.

I am installing Mathcad 14 from my installation DVD on a new PC. All went well except towards the end a window says, "The wizard is now contacting the PTC licensing server to obtain your license automatically. This may take a few moments." Then another window pops up saying, "The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden." What do I do now?   

Hi,   The Toolkit API can calculate the model's outer angle size through ProSolidOutlineCompute. This function can exclude some elements such as datum features and curves. Surfaces and hidden features cannot be excluded from ProSolidOutlineCompute() calculations. We'd like to hear your thoughts on ideas for solving these problems. 1. Exclude hidden features and surfaces of the active model, convert to STEP, and then RETRIVE to perform ProSolidOutlineCompute().: It takes a lot of time2. Use ProSolidFeatstatusGet to visit the Geomitem of features excluding surfaces and hidden features to find the minimum and maximum points of XYZ.   If you have any better ideas, please help.   Warm Regards, SeonHo CHA.

Hello, why Mathcad does not find the maximum for this simple problem - it should be when x=1, y=1 and z=1 - in total f=2. For some reason x and y are kept to 0 even when the 0 is excluded from the range of search for x and y:   Thanks!
