I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.0.0The drawing won't open and says "(title of drawing) cannot be retrieved". Has anyone else had a problem with a drawing not being able to be retrieved? No matter what I try I cannot get the drawing to open. This drawing has many sheets with a lot of information and will take many, many hours to recreate.
Previous message:Hello, I am trying to use the "Solve Block" in MATHCAD 8 to evaluate physical constants of materials using experimental values. I have impedance measurements and phase measurements and I obtained some equations that I am trying to place in a system.I used, I assume correctly, the Boolean "=" in the constraints field, defined some guess values and asked for the solution, like in the following text (I omit the rest because otherwise is too long). Nevertheless, there are inconsistencies probably due to the utilization of indexes (my quantities depend on the frequency, while in several examples I have seen just numbers). The red circles around variables to be calculated mean "a function or a variable name is required here". May you help me? New message:Sorry, I used the PDF in my previous message for simplicity because the code is quite long, and my problem is general: how to use the "solve block" when the quantities in the constraints have an index? Hi, I still use the WF4 version and I would like to know if on the latest versions of Creo Parametric it is possible to impose tangency conditions on lines/planes/curves in the splines at the intermediate points as happens for Catia. The curves referred to are external to the spline profile. To better understand what I mean, look at thishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba8ycG1dPtAat minute 30.45forget the restYou can also get there by building but it's quicker that wayHI
Using CREO Parametric 7.0 I am trying to create a forklift mechanism. In the picture, the bottom of the red screw will be attached to a motor that is mounted to the same plate that the bottoms of the tan channels are. As the motor screws upward, it will lift up the grey section. There will be two cables attached to the tan bar running between the two channels. Those cable will then run over the grey bar and back down to the tan hooks. This means that the brown frame will be lifted as the screw lifts the grey frame. My question is, how do I simulate this wire in a way that will allow me to do an Ansys simulation of the forces when the lift is fully extended? I can also use CREO simulate if necessary.
Hello, Default plot of the line passing through the point (1,1) in Mathcad Prime: My desire: Having a point, for example: (x, F(x)) = (1,1), I would like to be able to adjust the LENGTH of the line passing through that point (1,1), in order the length of the line to be smaller or larger as shown below. How could I do this?
HiI have an function that I want to integrate and would like some advice on how to do that. See attached file 🙂 Thanks!
When editing a table field, with a parameter in it. Creo will open the menu manager first before the editing pop-up, which is rather annoying. It seems to be random when it opens the manager first instead of just opening the editing pop-up. This is an extra and rather annoying step when you get the pop-up. What causes this? I have had this annoyance since Creo 3. Creo 3,7,8,10 seem to all be random when it chooses to pop-up the menu manager. Does anyone know how to solve this? Menu Manager Pop-Up Editing Pop-Up

I am a beginner using PTC MathCAD9.0 30 day trial version.I have a questions about how to install a function to read and write in HDF5. When I contacted PTC, I was told"In order to use custom functions in the latest version of Mathcad, you will need to rebuild DELL from the provided source using Visual Studio, etc. (Please refer to the attached zip file.)However, the custom function you are inquiring about is not a standard feature of Mathcad,so our support cannot provide a detailed response. We are unable to provide a detailed response."Please tell me how to rebuild DELL and to use the function.
I am a beginner who is currently using PTC MathCAD on a 30 day trial version.I have two questions about how to use functions for reading and writing in HDF5. ①I have read the article published in 2016(https://www.ptc.com/ja/support/article/CS189647).However I cannot use "ReadHDF", "WriteHDF" to read/write HDF5.I obtained the HDF environment by following the workflow described in the word file in the zip.(I downloaded the latest version 1.14.2, not ver 1.8.11 as described)I have finished up to 2.) in the "Install and run the Mathcad_HDF.dll" in the word file, but when I open Mathcad_HDF.mcdx file and type Mathcad_ReadHDF (or Mathcad_WriteHDF),Mathcad crashes and the operation screen disappears. Please tell me how to solve this problem. ②PTC told me that in order to use custom functions in the latest version of Mathcad,we would need to rebuild DELL using Visual Studio or other software from the provided source, but since custom functions are not a standard feature of Mathcad,
How can i recall values into table from the equations ive done before similar to excel
Dear all, We are using color coding in our company. And for defining different areas of insert i am using flexible offset with 0.00 offset and attach offset geometry. Creo 3 it was working fine i.e.; I will use flexible offset and use intent surface filter and color the feature.but in Creo 7, flexible offset will use the base geometry color to color the feature. (still, I can color it, but it will go back original when regenerate). is there any way I can avoid the colour change when regenerating or any other alternative method. Any help will be appreciated.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.9.0I have an assembly with some cabling operations. when I am exporting it as a step file, I get cables as surface but I want it as solid.it there any way to do so, Please help

Dear SirsI have two screenshots below, one of which shows the calculations I've done for KRF and Delta I. I would like to use this data to create a chart on another screenshot. Could you please teach me how to plot it?Thank you very much.
I have a parameter driven table with a comment column at the end of table in this column each cell gets notes and comments and many times a report symbol. Some of the cells I want to be a specific text color but I find it to change the entire column to the text of any cell color. I believed the comment column to be a dumb column with no unity to any other cells in the column. AM I missing anything here. I attached how I want it to look. Maybe there is a parameter to change text color in a line.CREORelease 7 Version 7.0.8.0
Could someone please clarify why an additional line is appearing on the V-notch in Image 2? Additionally, what distinguishes the process of generating a flat pattern directly from the "customize graphics toolbar" compared to using the unbend features from the "Ribbon" and then creating the flat pattern from the family table after suppressing all features? In Image-1, I generated the flat pattern using the customize graphics toolbar. In Image-2, I utilized the bend feature from the toolbar and suppressed all features in the family table after all bends were made.Image-1 Image-2
Hello,In the attached sheet, i have math regions and text regions together within one big region. How do i remove this big region so i can have only the text and math regions outside this big region? Thanks!Sam
I have a model I'm working on understanding / animating. It has a number of datums added within subassemblies. In searching for the easiest way to hide all datum planes (which for some reason don't disappear when I turn off plane visibility) I found a method recommended to:Create a LayerAdd elements to layerHide Layer This is looking pretty good, and when I go to add all the datum-planes using a Rule, all the layers I want to hide are "collected." NOTE: Include submodels is selected. As you can see it shows 194 elements found that match [Type = Datum Plane]When I hit OK however, only the assembly default 3 remain in the filter.See the rules and Options for this selection: When I press "Edit Rules" shown above, the Include Subbodels is no-longer selected...This seems to correlate with the results that I'm getting. Not sure where to go from here. Really just looking for an effective way to hide Datum Planes that are not actuated by the Plane Display b
I am currently researching alternative ways of annotating our models, and keep running into road blocks. There has never been a particularly high degree of focus among my predecessors of using metadata/parameters within the model to help drive things. We use find numbers in balloons in our drawings, but deviate from what PTC seems to intend in two ways:Those balloons are custom symbolsThe value of those balloons that is displayed is manually entered textAfter refreshing myself on repeat regions, I figured out how one might use them in combination with assembly-level component parameters to create balloons that auto-populate. However, in order for this to work I had to define those component parameters for each unique part instance in the assembly, including fasteners. Is there not a way to only enter this once per unique part number, rather than instance? And how would I avoid having to recreate the same parameter in each component? The list of component parameters is empty for ea
Is there a way in creo cabling to bundle several harnesses together and still be able to generate the flats for each harness? We have four harnesses, and are putting sleeving on the common routes and want it to be shown in the model. I tried making a harness with four subharnesses, but the flat doesn't generate properly with a shared bundle. If you need more info, let me know. Thanks! CREO 9 // Creo Schematics 4
Are any Creo Elements/Direct users out there familiar with PTC's long term plans for the software? Today I learned that CSI is discontinuing its line of Model Manager add-on products. We have been using their AnyDocs add-on for years. This, plus the fact that PTC has been developing Creo for awhile now, has me concerned that Creo Elements/Direct will not be supported for much longer. My biggest concern is not having to find a new CAD software, its the potential of losing our Model Manager database full of attributes, links, etc. Does anyone have any experience with migrating a Manager Server to another database solution? If so, how successful was it? Also, what other CAD and database solutions are worth looking at? Thanks in advance! -Dan
Hi All,The future of Elements Direct is pretty clear now, it seems:1. Elements direct has entered 'maintenance mode', as no real development efforts are made anymore, it's in some distant corner of the website, and the original development team doesn't exist anymore.2. Creo Direct (positioned as the new direct modeler where we could migrate to) is not going anywhere and isn't positioned as next step for Elements Direct anymore. It's not even mentioned as Creo CAD anymore (only parametric is there now).3. Parametric has some 'direct capabilities', and they seem to work hard to make transitioning to Parametric as easy as possible (migrating 2D drawings for example). So, PTC has clearly decided that Elements Direct is going to be phased out. I would like to know what the future plans of users are. I can think of a few options:1. Switch to Parametric2. Switch to another CAD system3. Hold on as long as possible and keep maintenance4. Hold on as long as you can keep it running without mainten
Hello,I'using Modeling 19.0: axes of symmetry that have been manually stretched, both by means of handles and of the dedicated command, will be restored to their original extent each time the owner view gets updated.Does anyone share this experience and know if a workaround is possible?Thank youMarco
