Dear all,As far as I understand the issue - it's born in the Light scenes, where shadow areas appear grey. We facing the issue in Creo Illustrate - and looking for a light scene that I can adjust the lights are best for the used figure. But just switching from headlight to 1,2 or 3 light - making not the big difference.I would be more convinced if the light scene can really adjusted by placing the light. Are there plans to improve or extenf functions along light scenes?Or is there any workaround getting the original object color displayed, e.g. by disable lights completely? E.g. even that the left figure is not identical - the grey colored fridge frame is white, but appear due to light sceene grey. The right figure showing the expected result we want to achieve.RegardsRobert
Hello, I'm new here, hope to get the support I need with my first post. As a designer engineer in rolling stock, I'm considering the use of Spec-driven piping within Creo Parametric 8, and working within EN standards I wonder if it is possible to define pipes with an alternative to the API schedule rating. For instance I got a copper pipe OD12 x 1mm thickness within EN 1057 which does not use schedule rating, so I don't know how to fill in the SCH_RATE in the Pipe Master Catalog csv file. Can I leave it empty? The alternative I thought is to fill the field with a made-up number/code but I'd rather to avoid this way. So does Creo Parametric Piping take in consideration piping out of API/ASME specs? Thank you all in advance for your help!
Dear colleagues, I have used the attached "Outlier Rejectionprocedure" for over 20 years to detect outlier data from acquiredthermo-structural tests. I have tried, unsuccessfully, offering the procedure to AEDC (Arnold Engineering Development Center) because I use one of the twoOutlier Detection Methods but they have not shown interest. Therefore, I am donating it to the PTC Community. The method is a simple average of the of AEDC's and Chauvenet'sOutlier detection methods criteria resulting in the formula: C_ABC(n) = (C(n)_AEDC + C(n)_Chauvenet(n)/2 Where "n = sample size" Ultimately, entered the numerical results into TableCurve 2Dresulting in the formula provided in the attached workbook. I have successfully used to determine the outlier of: Bolt torque (n < 16) in a pipe-to-pipe flange assembly.Metal temperature around turbojet engine inlets, n < 24.Metal temperature around turbojet engine nozzles, n < 18. It is my hope that
Hello everyone,Please look at the attached MathCad worksheet.I would like to know if the solution block for my problem can be simplified by using the Minerr solver. The solution block must solve for 192 equations.Thank you so much for the time and help.Regards,CarlosRomero
Hello, Would anyone know how to show the part number in the creo view, My creo view only show filename and vision number (I open the view from windchill web page). Most time I need the item number to check the ERP information, But now, I need back to Windchill web page check item number first. Is there any option for me can select show the inforamtion?
Hello everyone,I am currently working on a project using PTC Creo, and I've encountered a scenario where I need to measure the minimum distance between two holes in a part. I'm not entirely sure what steps to follow to accurately measure this distance within the software.I've looked into the 'Analysis' tab and found the 'Measure' option, but I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly. Could anyone guide me through the correct procedure to measure the minimum distance between two holes, either in Part or Assembly mode?I appreciate any tips or step-by-step instructions you could provide. Thanks in advance!
Hello,I'm new to the integrated mold analysis in Creo. However, the tool with it's fiber orientation calculation possibilities appears to be promising for my topics. For the part design and the regarding analysis, I'd be very happy to use the calculated fiber orientation in Creo Simulate calculations. Is there a possibility to transfer the fiber orientation (and material properties) to Creo Simulate? Best regards, Daniel
I wish to save this note as a symbol, but cannot get the feature control frame to come through. How can I save this other than an image?
Hello, OK Not OK?! Should not be ? x being any number Not OK?! Should not be ? x and y being any number
is there any easy way to import .stp assembly file into part as single file ? pls assist. I tried converting assembly as Parasolid model and imported into the part. but it was unsuccessful.
Hello everybody, what is the difference of copy geom and mergein Creo Parametric? Both are techniques to share data. With the copy geom I can get data from one model to another model. For example the body surface, Then I can solidify this surface and I have the same result when using merge. Thanks for your help.
Hi I have a query on the backward compatibility of Mathcad Prime 9.Can I directly open in Mathcad Prime 9 the files created using Mathcad Prime 8 or Prime 7 ? I understand that for file created using Mathcad Prime prior to 7 and Mathcad 15, we would need a convertor. Warm RegardsVijay
Hi - I am exploring the possibility of having the calculation logic in Mathcad file, and then having the .NET web app take the user inputs and then sends the input values to a Mathcad file running on the server, and then get back the calculation outputs from Mathcad - which will be displayed on the web app. - Does the Mathcad API support the above scenario? I tried to check this link - Getting Started with the PTC Mathcad API | PTC | Mathcad - But it is not opening for me in either Chrome or Edge. - When Mathcad is called, will the Mathcad run in the background - or for ex; in case of a .NET desktop app which is using Mathcad installed on that desktop, can the user see the Mathcad window - when it is being called from the .NET code ? RegardsVijay
Hello, 1. I would like to know how many sign changes there are in this vector viewed as a matrix. There are 8 sign changes as far as we can see: So, here I would like a function that shows me 8 as output (the number 8 being the number of sign changes).2. I would like a function that tells me that at column 0 and between lines 1 and 2 is a change of sign, that at column 0 and between lines 2 and 3 there is a change of sign, etc. :
Hello I am trying to use Mathcad Prime 7.0.0 to solve equations, but no matter the equation, i have tried many, it always gives me Mupad_Unresponsive. Below is a simple example of the problem i have been encountering. P.S. I have tried uninstalling license, both in appdata and user, reinstalling mathcad, still doesn't work.
Where did I go wrong? Watt should be kg⋅m^2/s^3 Thus Watt/m^2 should be kg/s^3So the base unit reflected in the first line is already wrong (and the result off by x 100). I tried again by changing my custom unit in 2nd line and it confirms that the unit went awry somewhereThis is mathcad prime 8
Hello everyone,I'm currently working on implementing an auto-naming system for parts and assemblies in Creo Parametric. My goal is to have the name generated based on a combination of a unique identifier and the type of part (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.). The idea is to have a function like this: new_name = "PART_" + TYPE_SELECTION + "_" + UNIQUE_ID For the TYPE_SELECTION, I want to create a dropdown list of options, and for UNIQUE_ID, I'm looking for a way to make it increment by 1 automatically each time a new part is created.I was able to add basic parameters via Tools > Parameters, but I'm not quite sure how to make TYPE_SELECTION a list of predefined options or how to auto-increment UNIQUE_ID.Does anyone have experience setting up something similar? Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated!
I'm currently working on an assembly where I need to ensure that the hole locations on two different parts are identical. Specifically, I want to project or reference the holes from Part B onto Part A within the assembly. I've explored a few options but haven't found a straightforward way to achieve this. Any help or advice would be much appreciated!
I found a puzzle in the book store. It is 20$. I make it by Prime 9 worksheet. It says it has two answers. Try it!
Hello friends, I am using Creo parametric 8.0.4.0, I have a task my collogue shared the model and I have done the task nearly 90% and now my collogue shared the new model, which is modified, now again I have to do the task from first or there is any other way to update the work of previous model with the new model. So can anyone help me with this problem.Thank you
I'm trying so solve an implicit differentiation example but I keep getting bad solve variable error This is my example:x^2+y^2=25
Hello, How to extract for example the 13th element from below?
I am upgrading an old application server and would like to know if there is a way to migrate the current version of Flexnet License manager 2016 along with my MathCad licenses on to a new Application server.
I'm working on a project and have encountered a challenge with changing the reference point of a triangle in Creo. As illustrated in the attached picture, I need to move the reference from its current location on one of the triangle's vertex to a designated point shown in red. Any suggestion?
I'm working on a project that requires me to view dimensions in both metric and imperial units for parts and assemblies. Is there a way to enable dual dimension display in Creo Parametric for this purpose?I've looked through the Configuration Editor but couldn't find a definitive answer. If anyone knows how to set this up or if it's even possible, your advice would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for your assistance!
