I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM080Using Creo Parametric for CAD modeling.We are doing units with up to 28 modules, what would be the hardware requirements in terms of RAM?

Just had a perplexing experience where I sent some Creo relations code to a colleague, something simple, but it triggered a bunch of inexplicable error messages. The code was this: txtResult = “VALUE IS “ IF numFloating < 1.0 txtResult = txtResult + “0.” ELSE txtResult = txtResult + ITOS ( floor ( numFloating ) ) + “.” ENDIF txtResult = txtResult + EXTRACT ( ITOS ( 1000 * ( 1 + numFloating – floor ( numFloating ) ) ), 2, 3 ) I couldn't figure out what in the world was going on. It's the kind of code I use all the time. Turns out that when I e-mailed the text, Outlook, in it's annoying fashion, converted the quotes around the strings in the code to the two different quotes one would use if this text were being published in a book. If you look closely at the text, it is easy to see once you know it is there. What should have been "0." has been converted to “0.” which causes errors. Just a warning for anyone who is using relations,

I need to convert some files in solidworks 2D with .slddrw extensions to CREO. Is there any PTC program that can do this file conversion? Let's migrate everything to CREO now, I wanted a way to take everything solidworks to CREO

When I load a Direct Modeling part out of windchill anything ist ok regarding colors - same as in native direct modeling When I load an assembly out of windchill the colors of the included parts are gone/lost - I see only standard grey parts.  How can I bring creo to show the songle part colors of these imported assemblies?  Assembly nativ Direct Modeling Same Assembly loaded via Windchill into Creo  

I am trying to solve a simulation of blowdown of a pressure vessel and have defined the ODE's but there is a glitch I cannot resolve with a variable undefined error. I am sure it is a trivial error but if anyone can assist I would appreciate it. Mathcad 15 sheet attached.Thanks Ross 

Hi all,I'm new to Mathcad and trying to do somthing that is very simple on Excel, and hopefully isn't too difficult on Mathcad-I have a range variable say z:=-5..5I have a complicated function f(z), but for simplicity just assume it is - f(z):=z^3I would like to have a matrix where the first column is z, and the second coloumn is f(z).It should look something like that--5-125-4-64-3-27-2-8-1-10011283274645125 Any ideas/suggestions how to do it?Thank you 🙂 

Does anyone know the reason why the centerline and coordinate system is greyed out in Creo Parametric 7.0?I'm still relatively new to Creo parametric, but creo does not let me use the centerline when I extrude a surface.As seen here the options are greyed out.I've even tried starting a new file but this issue still occurred. I've even tried reinstalling Creo but the problem remained. I've tried looking online for solutions but couldn't find any can anyone please help this is time sensitive since I need to finish this for a school project and I have no one to approach in school to fix this issue.

For those who prefer the ribbon user interfaces (PELOOK 4), a tab has been added. I had included two xml files, one English, one French. How to import surface model and repair to Solid by IDD

I am trying to create a 3d "shelled" object by blending the outer edges together to form the shape and then blending the inner edges to remove material.I am trying to create a blend using the references below however it fails to generate.Using the same references boundary blend seems to work just fine, I am not sure why this is so.I tried using a circle to circle blend and it worked fine and the wavy to wavy blend worked fine as well. I have no idea what the problem here is. By the way would this be called a shelled object or hollowed object or what would be the appropriate term?I am using creo parametric 9.0 student version

I have been running into this issue where when I select a point at the end of a line while doing a 3 point arc it does the following behaviour. It should be a pretty easy fix however I have no idea how to prevent it.I am using creo parametric 9.0 

I don't know why the current shape is not Generaitve Designe.I'm trying to model by setting the Design Criteria to the safety factor, but it often fails. modeling before creation creation output The message displayed in Trouble Shooter is as follows.1. Simulation solver did not converge.Check one of the next options to resolve the issue:-Unconstrained rigid body motions.-Radically different material properties between bodies.2. The optimization did not converge within the maximum number of iterations.Try to raise iterations number or decrease element size in Study settings. So I modified the related contents and tried modeling again, but almost the same problem occurs.Turns out there are other issues... Does anyone know why the setting is wrong or not, or how to do Generative Design using Safe Factor properly???I would appreciate it if a GTO expert would answer.For reference, if you would like to model, please leave an e-mail. 

Hi,Coming from Solidworks to CREO I am hoping the following is possible, I cannot seem to find in the measure tool a means to measure perimter area. Screen shot example of what I'm trying to calculate:  It is not possible to select area on perimteter, is this possible in CREO?

Since I updated to Creo 8.0.4.0, every time I work in an assembly, Creo version 8.0.4.0 consistently freezes. The rest of my computer works just fine while it freezes. I tried lowering the graphics by including "-g:win32_gdi" to the existing target path but then I can't see existing parts in an assembly when trying to create a new part in it. I also assume that my computer meets the necessary requirements to operate Creo since I didn't run into this issue prior to updating to 8.0.4.0. I am curious if there is a work around so that I can keep from crashing and still see all parts within an assembly. Any assistance on a path forward is greatly appreciated. Thanks
