Hello, I just installed CREO 10.0, I was 6.0 before. I can't figure out how to edit a drawing symbol in 10. Thanks,
Hello everyone. I'm having trouble locating the jog on the annotation tab. I would like my weld to be made using jog leaders. This is not for 2D drawing. This is for model based definition only. Does anyone know how? im using Creo 7 Thanks
Hi, The herringbone cell propagation option is available in the lattice feature.2.5D Beams: I enabled it, but I didn't notice any changes to the model. Can someone give a good example?
Does anyone know how to create 'Angular Running Dimensions' in Creo Parametric? Our Solidworks users are asking how to do the same thing in Creo. These are sort of like ordinate dimensions, but around a circle.
Hello i want to create a gyroid lattice body in creo educational however the representation option is grayed out (see picture). This needs to be changed to the nessecary "Full geometry" for a real body to generate. Does anyone know if this is simply a limitation by creo put on the educational version? Or is there a fix? / Thanks!
Hi,I'm trying to change the beam profile but the only option is straight. Is there a reason for this?Is it possible to obtain a different type of profile (parabolic) in which configuration?
Hello all I am trying to use the manufacturing side of creo to make a couple basic parts and it seems to be not posting the G90 or G54 lines in the nc code, below is a screenshot of the beginning of the program. I've used a few other CAM systems but this is the first time I've tried using creo for machine toolpaths, so I might have something not set correctly. Below is the post I tried using, it said it was for a HAAS VF8. Does anyone know what I need to change so these 2 lines of code will be in the nc code output?
Hello, I am user of Windchill 11.2 and CreoView 6.0. What I am curious about is when we open up structures from Windchill into Creo View, sometimes there are items that will not visualize. Which I know there is many reasons for this as I have become proficient at figuring this out. The problem I have is finding these out. Some of our structures can be over 1500 branch links and I really don't want to click through each branch link (or expand by all levels) to find these. Is there a way to search or sort by items without a checkmark next to the item? See picture of example. Thank you for any feedback.
hello! I have a model of an electrical cable coming off an assembly in creo 4.0, that is modeled straight (as a sweep in a straight line). Is it possible to make this cable "flexible" and orient/route it in many different configurations in both the assembly and the drawings of this part? any help is greatly appreciated!
Im trying to make a part that had an angled end to it and each end is a different radius and ive been trying to figure out what to do I've looked up videos looked on here and nothing to help me so far this is probably a very easy problem to fix for someone who knows what they're doing so hopefully I can get some help on this ive attached a few pictures as well thanks. The diameter of the big circle is .308" and small one is .205" and the feature is 1.450" long
Hello, For the laser cut I need to create a family table with many flat sheet metals of a variable part, and put them all in the drawing in 1:1 scale, and them generate a .DXF. How can I put all the flat parts of the family table in the drawing more fast? Is there any way to create a .DXF with all the views that I need without need to put them all manually? Best regards!
How to identify the feature to which the GD&T symbol is attached in a 2D drawing using Pro ToolkitIs there any API functions available for this purpose? Thanks
Can we create the color pdf just the shadow view and not the title block?
I am learning CREO after using SolidQworks for some time. Are there PTC/Creo Tutorials to understand how to modify Creo Assemblies? I would like to extrude cut a part (jig) in a CREO assy to accommodate the new revision of the part design. Or do I have to trace a 2D planar profile of the existing part to make a cut and modify this geometry for the 3D geometry to fit? Maybe I just need to start with the basic tutorials for building parts and assys. Pictured is a cross-section view of the conflict. Thanks! CREO Parametric V9.0..1.0
In creo toolkit how to visit each component surface?
Hello, can we use pro/program or any other method to hide/unhide layers as per the input we are giving in Creo 3D model?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.7.0How can I make the custom weld symbol that I need? I have an image of the symbol I need to create, but I don't know how to replicate it within Creo.Image of symbol:https://i.imgur.com/g0cREkW.pngA colleague created this symbol in SolidWorks. I need to put this symbol in my drawing in Creo. Thanks,
This has affected me again. This has been a recurring problem. I responded to Mitch G. and fully explained my situation. He provided NO HELP. Just sent me to a website that was no help. My 10 year-old PC is showing signs of failing. I still have my original Product Code and MED-60602-CD-150_M050.zip file, as well as the unzipped files, plus my sales receipt indicating my license is perpetual for my academic version of MATHCAD 15. I also have my original license file. Apparently, MATHCAD 15 cannot be re-installed with all my above original information without having to contact PTC; it will this be another painful process? I have been using MATHCAD since well before PTC took over. I think I started with MATHCAD 3, definitely before MATHCAD 6. After PTC took over MATHCAD, the licensing and installation were the most painful, convoluted processes I have ever encountered with newly purchased software. I guess I am out
I notice that in CREO Parametric 10.0.0, to add Arrows for a Cross-sections you have to first open up the edit hatching tab (by clikcing on the hatch lines), then switch the to the Layout tab to find the Arrows tool. It looks like you can no longer start with the Arrows tool and then click on the desired hatching either. Is there an easier way to show the placement Arrows of a Cross-section than having to switch tabs?
I have noticed over the years the default style of the hatch lines of Cross-sections has changed on 2D drawings. Now with CREO Parametric 10.0.0, it looks like the default (without material properties set) comes in at variable value for the spacing depending on the size of the part, where I used to only have to do a half spacing once or twice to make it look good, now they are needing more clicks to get them like I used to. A small 5" part will have a hatch spacing that looks almost solid, while a 400" part has a very wide spacing value with barely any lines on the hatch. Are there any best practices or tips on what hatch spacing settings should be used for hatch lines on a part drawing cross-sections?
Creo parametric 4.0 m090 Not working through vpn but is working normally through the company networki contact our network administrator and said that everything is fine in our network.what i tried1- reinstall creo 2-changing the path to IP / servername/ 3- some more methods i dont remember nothing works Hint : we are using Pulse vpn ,and creo works with 1 user laptop through vpn Thank you!
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.4.0I have 3 groups in our company that use the same config.sup and config.pro.All use the same drawing formats. One group want to use dual dimensioning. I am not willing to give them different drawings with different .dtl files. Is there a way to create UDF or set a local config option that will allow them to use dual dimensioning without going thru all of the selections to set up dual dimensioning? i have the drawing .dtl file set up so that when they change to dual dimensioning, all other settings are ready to go.Just looking to shorten the 9-10 clicks per drawing to change to dual dimensioning. Here are the errors that I facedno errors
Dears, I'm stuck on learning how to apply a real PDE problem. It is an application that I can observe in my daily life involving gas, the effect of a pressure wave caused by a transient in a gas pipeline when a valve is abruptly closed at the end of the pipeline. Reading several technical papers on this matter, many numerical simulations of fast transients have been performed to solve the partial differential equation for transient flows in horizontal gas pipelines. Dorao (2011) [1], like many authors, starts the discussion with this system of PDE: I was thinking (naive?) that I could simply solve this using the PDE Solver, but after many trials and errors, I came to a halt. I´m stuck setting the initial conditions right for the solver:T0=-0s is during a steady state. Flow, velocity, and density all are the same for the length of pipe L, from L0 at the (inlet) and L1 (outlet), as this is before the transient. After this, the flow stops:T1=+0s is the outlet valve closed.
This does not work:Error message says "variable not defined". But this works:The intention was to add an entry to the matrix at the end. This is quite odd, experimenting I found this works without the "=" sign:
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150In compatible design, the electronic side will name the compatible devices together (such as PK...RK...PRT, which should actually be two devices PK...PRT and RK...PRT), and import EMN into The device cannot be found after Creo. PTC Ronggong (Hui) said that modifying the configuration options in the config configuration file can solve this problem. Which configuration option should be modified?------------------------------------------- Translated text from Chinese to English using Google translate. By Community moderation team.
