I have imported excel data and made column vectors from data. When I try to multiply elements with an index beginning somewhere in the range I get this. Why do I get zero values and how might I eliminate this behavior?Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello everyone, The situation is that I have an assembly that only opens in CREO VIEW, so I saved it as a .pvs file to import in CREO PARAMETRIC to save as .IGS or STEP File but when exporting the file does not contain information, it is empty . Any suggestions or method to save this file? Regards.
Hi All, I'm creating a reference pattern of screws in a bolt circle. I need to skip two holes where I need longer screws. The dots that allow unselecting instances don't show up when I'm in the pattern creation. This only happens on certain components of the assembly. I thought it may have to do with the fact the driving pattern is an assembly feature (in a sub assembly), but it works for other sub assemblies with hole patterns. Any ideas? It's only 8 holes so I can insert them manually for now but it would be nice to figure this out. Thanks,
Hi all, This has been raised a few times on here but it seems to have faded away.Is there anything happening with it? This was raised last year but nothing has happened.https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Parametric-Ideas/ISO-Welding-Symbols-too-long-horiz-line/idi-p/777643
Hi all, I need to find the multi bodies parameters. I have a multiple body, like Body1, Body2, Body3, etc... Now I want to find these bodies parameters by iterating each and every Body in the 3D Model. So, I need any sample code in VB API to execute this.
Hi there I am using Mathcad Prime 8.0 and Excel 365 32-bit. I have a Mathcad Prime 8.0 sheet (converted from Mathcad 15.0) that sends input e.g. NPS:=2.5 into an Excel component and extracts dependent output data. It appears that if I change the Mathcad parameter to e.g. NPS:=8, Mathcad updates the input inside Excel, but Excel does not auto-calculate. Excel apparently only auto-calculates if I force re-calculation through CTRL+F5 from Mathcad, or if I open the Excel component and force re-calculation (e.g. Calculate Now) I have Auto Calculation and multi-threading enabled in Mathcad, and Calculation Options set to Automatic in the Excel component. Has anyone seen this before and know how to enforce auto-calculation without using CTRL+F5? E.g. write a macro inside the Excel component that triggers auto-calculation? However, it looks like a bug. Thanks.
Hi, CREO 7.0.I am working on a robotic arm with piping on the inside. The arm is constrained using pins, so I can free move the arm as intended. I added planes/sketches on the arms and created pipes using the pipe application. When I move the arm, the pipes are stationary until I regenerate, then they update into the correct position. I am creating snapshots and regenerating after each instance so that I can create an animation. When I work on the animations, the arm is moving, but the pipes are not. How can I fix the model so that when the arm moves, the pipes move with it? Thank You,Alan
We are moving our server environment to the hosted cloud vendor; I was told that we may need a new license/certificate for the Windchill license server to be active in the new environment? We are using a VMware VM in the new environment. So, what do we need to provide to make this happen?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0Hi, So I went through and changed some of the screw/bolt names within the family table, though I made sure not to change the name of the generics or the heads of each sub family table. I've done this in the past and it worked fine. It also still recognizes all the new names and pulls in the correct bolts with the correct names upon startup. I am also able to open up the top level generic part and all lower level generic parts, as well as the renamed parts just fine.My issue is now that when I go to use the intelligent fastener tool it tells me that a model cannot be found. The way it names the model is very odd too, it seems the model has the same name as a file path, and the file path it gives never held the part in it anyway (the csff.prt file is not located in the "ifx_fastener_data" folder, it is located in the prolibrary folder, and I made sure of that on a differerent machine that had not yet updated their ifx prolibrary).
I want to create a symbol with 3 colors, Red, white and blue. I am using Creo 6.I use a filled hatch pattern. When I make for blue and red, no problem, but the white are is printed in black. When I modify the white scale to a little less white, it pops up ok.How to print fully white area?I know this is pentable related but I can't find the issue.
I am using the Creo Harness Manufacturing Extension to create a wire harness manufacturing drawing. I am trying to populate the cavity tables for each connector with terminal and seal names. I am under the assumption that HMX pulls terminal names from a terminator table. I tried to import a terminator table into Creo Schematics from a csv file that I created but I am getting an error that reads "Failed reading file terminatortable.csv, line 1 is invalid." I created the csv file by exporting a sample terminator table text file from PTC into a csv file. Shown below is a screenshot of the csv file I tried to import. Help would be much appreciated!
HiMy colleague has encountered a strange issue. IFX grayed out in some his assemblies for some reasons. They were all good the day before. I checked it only happened on some assemblies. So my thought is that must be something different of those assemblies. So far I could figure out why. Any causes will make IFX unavailable in an assembly?
Hello, I am some difficulties with the phase plotting of a transfer function, and I am wondering if you could give me please some pieces of advice.Attached is the mathcad prime 7 file with the transfer function and the formula for the phase.I would like to do the plot as described in the attached image.F represents the ratio f/fo. Thank you.
Hello All I am trying find the best way of modeling parts, that are metal injection moulded and then milled, drilled and tapped. We need a file for the raw moulded part and one for the machined part. If something is changed in the raw part, the machined version should be able to be updated. What is the best way of implementing this. Shall we use copy geometry, family tables or Simplified reps? Thanks for your help! Best wishes Alex
Hello, I would like to get some help from you in regards to an equation that I would like to solve it symbolically. Please find attached the file, which is on PTC Mathcad Prime 7.Please let me know how to improve the equations in order to be able to find a relation for x. Thank you,

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and Datecode M140Dear Creo community,I am having issues with the Creo Parametric Excel analysis feature not staying associated with the Excel spreadsheet. It will allow me to open the spreadsheet, associate cells with dimensions and parameters, and close the spreadsheet. However, when I reopen the excel analysis feature in my feature tree, all of the information about the spreadsheet and associated dimensions are gone. Why does the link between Creo and Excel get lost? How can I prevent this?Best regards,Gordy

Good morning, I have a sample STEP AP242 file that I have opened in Creo View 8 and none of the annotations are displayed. I have the annotation filters checked and I have updated the step2pv_import3D.rcp to include these three lines:adapter/outputAnnotPlaner=1adapter/outputAnnotFloat=1adapter/outputAnnotScreen=1I can open the STEP file in Creo Parametric and the annotations are visible. I then save the Creo file as a PVZ and the annotations are visible in Creo View. I cannot see the annotations when opening the STEP file in Creo View. Any suggestions?
HiI've routed a cable between 3 connectors; the shared section of the cable splits part-way and i've routed some of the conductors to a one connector, and some of the conductors to another connector. The two sets of conductors were exposed after the break, so i bundled them with a sheath. The result is as the images shows; the bundles are unaligned, which i'd like to remedy.I've tried using Bundles>Align Bundles, and selected one, two or three of these points and selecting 'align' and then regenerating; nothing seems to affect the alignment. Any tips on how to get past this? Best regardsA
I would like to be able to offset a curve enclosure inside of a sketch and observe the change's relation to the geometry outside of the sketch. Is there any way inside of a sketch to use the offset option and have the offset recognized as a offset instead of the resulting geometric features created from the offset? Below is my simple sketch prior to the offset.Below is the application of the offset. Notice that the offset is recognized as 2 weak radii shown in light blue. This applies as it should. The problem is that if I modify any of the strong dimensions the needed offset is no longer uniform. (Below I modified the angle value).Perhaps in this specific example it would be possible to modify the constraints to get the needed offset with the change, but in a more complicated sketch I would like the option to have my offset features retained as a offset as I have intentions of having this update appropriately with the downstream extrude within a family table
