Hello,I would like to learn how to use Mathcad Prime 7 Automation API in VBA Excel.If anyone can share tutorials or examples, that would be great.The "Code Examples" in PTC Mathcad Help are for different languages, I think.Like the examples in VB.NET & VBScript, I tried to study them but struggled to understand the syntax and could not see the similarity with VBA Excel syntax (sorry, i am new to programming). thank you in advance for your help.    

Hello everyone, We are creating a Searchquerydict.xml in the path %appdata%\PTC\ProductView with the help of an excel VBA marko similar the one that can be found here: https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Using-excel-to-build-simplified-reps/m-p/648567/highlight/true#M1085 The idea is to directly load only a certain amount of children of their "mother" model when starting CreoView.  With the marko/the .xml  we can predefine a MCAD search but we still have to start the search manually by starting the MCAD search and selecting the saved query. As an example of the search we want to predefine please see the attached picture.  B.R.Tobias 

Hello, When we try to import step assemblies in Creo 10, there is a model check message that we have to click many times before the assembly opens. Do you know how to avoid this? I already tried to see in the config options if there is a setting i could change but couldnt find something that makes sense.  Thanks    

Hi Community,   I would like to query the status of a prt, asm, drw with Excel VBA. So whether an object is checked out, new, in progress, etc.   I found the status for checked out in the API "IpfcServer --> IsObjectCheckedOut(WorkspaceName as String, ObjectName as String) as Boolean " But I can't find any function/method for status "New" or "Work in progress". I would like to check beforehand whether an object is mutable. I have created a mapkey to open a .prt and import to .stp(refer config2.pro). I succeed on that one. But I also have several .prts to convert to .stp. so I copy the mapkey, pasted various instances and replaced the .prt names(config3). but it didnt work. later i found some tools from here Repeatable Mapkey Generator – 4K Side and that one works.how did that work mine gives error?

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.2.0For an assembly I have a closed box filled with liquid. I can calculate the volume by creating a quilt and create a measure or analysis. If i add a component in the Iiquid the volume should be recalculated. Is this possible? I would like to avoid boolean operations cause i think this might slow my system. I tried adding a search function to create a query for the components inside the part, but this generates a layer and does not update if I add another part at a later stage.Do anyone have a suitable method for solving this?Here are the errors that I facedNone

Hey Community, I've got this wacky issue effecting imported images using the Image Tab(Attached is a 6in x 6in image being scaled by 1in=1mm and 1in=25.4mm) I've tested this and have reproduced it in:Creo 4 M150 (Current Software at my company)Creo 7.0.8.0 (Customer version)Creo 8.0.7.0 (Planned update to this version) It seems whenever a .drw is created without a model connected to it the units used for image scaling default to 1in=1mm. (Also effects resolution of the image) If you then create a new drawing of a .prt with "use template" in the new drawing dialogue box it carries this scaling over to the new drawing with no way to change it. Thus any image that comes in so tiny that a DXF has to be used instead of images on any print that was created using this method. If you create a new drawing of a .prt with "empty with format" in the new drawing dialogue box it changes the scale to 1in=25.4mm or Unit Conversion Factor for the unit specified the .DTL. (

Works fine so far.I use a draft group, which consists of a common drawing note and a geometric tolerance dimension Please let me know how to export and import the draft group or if there is a better way to get the ISO 22081 note to a drawing.

Hello I need to make an equation sheet of all these formulas I am using for a project for my Professor.  Mathcad is so nice to do this procedure. However, Mathcad 3.1 Prime wants to calculate it.  I don't need it to calculate it. I just need to show a list of formulas without calculations and without having a variable undefined. if someone could help me with I would be greatly appreciated.  You can see in the picture below to see what I am talking about.

Hello, I'm new into creo simulate LDA and i want to know how if there is any good practices using this feature.When I was trying to set analysis it wasn't converging at all but using a small bit other boundary conditions it was converging in 15minutes. Every and each time model was stable and doesn't have to have problems with convergence. I even connected each part to another using simple springs with small stifness. Material is linear. Are there any good practices how to model for LDA?
