Can we able to develop a web-based drawing automation application using Creo J-Link & Java Toolkit, where end users can upload the 3D data to generate drawings in web based application without opening or interacting with Creo? The drawing generation process should run in the background,  and users should be able to upload models and receive the generated drawings through the web application interface.

hole_file_resolution use internal How do I updated old files so that any hole callout they are using is saved internally, without going back through every part and updating every hole callout? Up till now, cad files have not been saving .hol files internally.The .hol files have since been updated to include default_callout_format_data. (which allowed me to combine multiple files into one)So using the same file names on .hol callouts wont work, because I was able to reduce the total number required.The main issue, now when I go to put in a hole, there are multiple ‘Thread Type’ selections and half of them will be unused going forward.But if I remove them, old files will contain incomplete hole callouts due to the ‘hole_file_resolution use internal’ not being set when the part was created.Hiding the old .hol files so they can still be read but are not displayed would be acceptable as well, but I’m not seeing any options for that.Any suggestions on how to use the new .hol files without wa

Hi everyone,I am running a kinematic/position study in Creo Mechanism and trying to graph specific measures. However, several models in the assembly contain Mass Property analysis features.This is causing severe performance lags. Mechanism is regenerating every single one of these models at every frame of the analysis to recalculate mass and surface area, even though these values are static and won't change during the run.In the Analysis feature settings, the available Regenerate options are: Always Read Only Only Design Study Ideally, I want "Always, except during a Mechanism analysis."Has anyone else run into this performance bottleneck? What is the best workaround to temporarily bypass or freeze these mass property calculations while running and graphing a Mechanism study?Thanks in advance!

Hi, I’m looking to upgrade from Creo 11 to Creo 12. I noticed that when I launch Creo 12 my creo_parametric_customization.ui is not taken in account anymore.The help for Creo 12 says this :The load order is automatically defined as follows:1. Administrator Customization (if it exists at the loading point (What’s the loading point ?))2. User Customization (<Users>\AppData\Roaming\PTC\ProENGINEER\Wildfire\.wf\. Settings)3. Customization of the execution directory (if the value load_ui_customization_run_dir is set to yes) I have a file  creo_parametric_admin_customization.ui from my installation at this location : I have my personal file here : And I don’t have the parameter load_ui_customization_run_dir in my config.pro.When I load Creo, it loads with the default interface, why ?We are two users. I would to have a base customization for us two and let my colleague and me have it’s own customization as well. How can I achieve this ?

I am a student  and ordered Mathcad Prime 12 Student Edition. I verified that my credit union account was charged. I followed all of the linked steps in the email I received and got an error message: Access denied - Insufficient Privileges Our records indicate that your company does not have a current PTC Global Support agreement I have phoned and emailed Cleverbridge and have not had any luck in getting them to fix this issue. They incorrectly believe I have a billing problem which I do not! I am unable to speak to anyone at PTC about this because of the logic of your automated phone answering service.

Hi there. I built a pretty typical 4-axis desktop CNC machine with an ‘A’ axis which rotates in the positive X direction and controlled by Mach3 on a USB controller. Overall it works well for any 3 axis milling/roughing/surfacing operations. See below configuration.Unfortunately when I go to set up an indexed 4-axis program, the included post processors in Creo skip the NC path’s rotate command:AAXIS,  ATANGL,  -90.000000and do not include it in the exported .tap/ G-code. I assume this is normal as most of the included post processors are only for 3-axis machines.However, I have attempted to “roll my own” using the included option file developer, turn on a 4th axis option, and using the UNCX01.P11 post processor as a base model, but no luck so far.The material removal simulation in Creo shows the appropriate rotation happening. I can also manually type in the “A -90.0” command into the exported G-code in the proper spot, which works great on the machine and allows me to accomplish my g

I’m investigating a Creo OTK Java casting issue in Creo Parametric 12.4.3.0 and would appreciate any confirmation or guidance from others who have seen this. Based on the documentation and shipped Java examples, I expected direct casts such as WSession wSession = (WSession) session, WSolid wSolid = (WSolid) model, and WFeature wFeat = (WFeature) feat to work. However, in controlled tests, the objects returned from ordinary acquisition paths come back as runtime classes like com.ptc.wfc.Implementation.pfcSession$Session, com.ptc.wfc.Implementation.pfcPart$Part, and com.ptc.wfc.Implementation.pfcDatumPlaneFeat$DatumPlaneFeat, and direct Java casts to WSession, WSolid, and WFeature fail with ClassCastException. I am using Creo Schematics Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.0.0 CREO schematic stucks and User is not able to select any thing ( Block, wire etc ) from sheets and can not close application at same time. It is required to crash CREO schematics from task manager and relaunch again to resolve the issue.

Hello all,Long time Creo user, i started with a Logitech MX mouse, after a few years had a wrist pain. I switched to MX vertical for several years, no more wrist pain but now it’s the elbow. I read that a trackball could be ergonomically better than a mouse so I’m looking for a model. Anyone here using a trackball ? Do you have a model recommendation ? Models to avoid ? I’m using Creo for CAD and Esprit for CAM.Thanks.

Does anyone have an easy solution for toggling model check on and off from the UI or using a mapkey on Creo 10? Currently I have been achieving the result by temporarily renaming the modcheck folder in my installation. I am working through a 12 page drawing that takes 10-15 minutes to complete a model check which is triggered every time the drawing is saved or checked in to Windchill. Besides being a productivity killer as Creo is held hostage during the check, it is also a disincentive for the user to save frequently.This sluggishness has occurred on both a i9 13th gen powered  with 64gb of ram and a new Dell Pro Max 16 with current gen i9 ultra and 64 gb of ram.

I have a top assembly that has multiple parts that have threads in them. In the part level, they each have a no-threads simplified rep that deactivates a feature (helical sweep) to remove the threads. Note that nothing else is referencing the sweep in features/assembly. In the top level, I have a simplified rep that sets every other part as master while the parts that have threads in them as “User defined” using the no threads rep of the said parts. This works fine as is in changing simplified rep but when you try to create an exploded view, the parts that are user-defined just breaks and not follow the explotion state both in CAD and especially in drawing. You can manually move it in CAD to make it look good but in drawings, they just move around every time.It looks like there’s a similar case in here just in case people have come accross this one for some insight -

Hey I really struggle to understand how can we custom AFX library. I’ve manange to add few simple profile (from NORCAN library) by duplicating existing profile in afk and changing the section. It “worked” in the framekwork assembly module.Nevertheless, in the draw name, size, type and length are completly out of sense regarding the added profile. Moreover, even though I can create simple join and it works well, some other are broken (cf screenshot).I don’t know by the way how we can create profile from scratch.DrawJoin

I am working with the flat harness tool to create a flat stick assembly of my cable harness. I have worked with the tool previously, so I know the basics behind how to lay out different segments of my cable system.When you select a new segment to flatten, it prompts you for the bend radius and the bend angle. I am running into an issue where the allowable range of the bend angle is extremely small, sometimes even at a fraction of a degree. Previously, I have seen the range go from -180 to 180 degrees, so I am unsure why I am getting such a small bend angle range. Has anyone ran into this issue before? Thank you.

Creo Parametric does not allow you to save an .idx file from an assembly that is in a simplified representation. This would be a helpful add-on in the future.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.4.0 When I import a .idx file, many of the ECAD components are imported as assemblies. For example, some small resistors end up being 3 different parts that are combined into one assembly. Is this how this is supposed to work?

Is it possible to create a mirrored part/sub assy in Creo Parametric through Toolkit ?i'm aware to Articles - CS339524 & CS291468 however maybe there is some workaround to achive this goal ? thought on maybe using Merge / Inheritance or such.any idea would be appriciated
