Good morning, PTC Community:I am getting stuck in quite a simple solve block. See attached for pipe min wall thickness calculation.A sensible solution for OD is somewhere slightly greater than 0.60-inch.Is this related to TOL or CTOL commands? Even if I take the TOL or CTOL off, the solution gets stuck in the solver.Do I have too many items in the Guess block?I use Mathcad Prime 10.0.1.0. Your review and suggestions for a fix will be appreciated. Regards,Joseph T.
Hi, I am in the same situation. The installation works fine for PTC Creo Parametrics 3.0 M190, but flexnet fails. I tried PTC License Server 11.19.1.0 and PTC License Server 11.17.1.0. Reference topic: https://community.ptc.com/t5/System-Administration/Installing-Creo3-under-Windows-11/m-p/976775#M31407 Any advise or solution? Thanks
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.6.0Good morning, I am having an issue with my workspaces in Creo. The error 'local cache contents need to be synchronized with the workspace' appears when I try to check parts in to Windchill. I have already tried the synchronize button in the workspace. If I create a new workspace, the issue goes away for a while, but then comes back. Thanks,Will Collier. Here are the errors that I faced'local cache contents need to be synchronized with the workspace'
Hello Creo Experts, I have a question regarding volume milling. I typically choose volume rough milling sequences for my roughing operations. But now trying to use HSM Milling.. However, I've noticed that the cycle times of HSM sequences are not as efficient as I expected. Despite their name, high-speed milling cycles are actually longer than those of volume milling for the same pocket size. Could you please advise me on any parameters I might be overlooking to achieve a shorter cycle time with HSM or rough sequences compared to volume milling for the same pocket size? Please check the attached MFG file its creo 11 mfg file Regards, Asif Fisa
Since @ttokoro recently once again tried to take us into the world of riddles and puzzles (-> Find BC:CD - PTC Community), I thought I would follow up with a problem that I dealt with some time ago. Its the 123 year old Haberdasher problem, posed originally by the famous puzzle inventor Henry Dudeney. Actually there are various different publishing dates around - 1902, 1903, 1907 ... The task is to divide an equilateral triangle of side length 1 with three straight, but not necessarily continuous, cuts into four parts so that they can then be put together to form a square. Dudeney provided the solution only in the form of a drawing, but without specifying the exact dimensions. Let D and E be the midpoints of AC and AB. The first cut runs from E to a point F on AB. The other two cuts run from D and G perpedicular to EF. G is a point an AB and it can easily be seen that AG = AF+0.5 (or equivalent GB = 0.5-AF). The four pieces now can be assembled to form
It's Confusing and not clear on when to pick wire option .For wire option, its not letting me pick already existing spool. Always new spool? See image.
Hi All, I was wondering if there was a solution for restoring the functionality of the event manager.I am using Creo + version 12.1.0.1-001. I am using Windchill 12.1.2.12. In a community post, user LLIE explained how renaming your "event" folder in your local cache would fix the event manager. That solution does not work for me. Are there other users who have had this issue and know how the solve it?
Mathcad prime 10Getting an error when tried to save"The file type is not supported. Logfile is located at C:\ProgramData\PTC\MathcadPrime\Logs\MathcadPrime_Exception_20250505_102636.log" I can't locate this file
I've been using Mathcad Prime 3.0 for a few years now. With annual subscriptions, I'd expect that updates would keep me current, but seeing that there's a version 11.0 now, looks like I was wrong. My IT department loaded 3.0 on my new laptop, which should have been the same as on my old desktop, but I cannot open the files created previously. I get the message "This file is not compatible with your current version of Mathcad, because it is from a more recent version of Mathcad". Any ideas on why this is happening? What later versions of Prime would still be able to open these 3.0 files?
Hello, I need help or some recommendations. Creo is testing me once again and I am almost giving up. I would like to design a stranded wire over a curve. I tried myself but it was too complex and not as smart as your solutions. So I wanted to try the solution from this topic: Help modeling a stent - PTC CommunityI also found this: How to create Twisted wires - PTC CommunityThe second link is more suitable for what I need so I tried the trajpar function but it did not went as well as in the topic. I drew the curve in one plane. After this I sketched a circle on an angled centerline going through the start point, then I defined the angle dimension using a relation in sketcher - like it was written in the topic but it seems as it cannot be that "easy". Could you maybe tell me, what I did wrong or where my mistake is? Attached you can find the test file, rough a example of what I want to achieve (looks wise) and my straight version which maybe can be
Auto horizon locking: Keeping the horizon always horizontal when rotating the view, which is equivalent to keeping the direction of gravity always vertical Imagine you're making a model in the real world, you want to walk around your model to check its form or structure from different angles. But just as you start walking around the model, something magic happened, the horizon of the whole world began to tilt randomly. You have to struggle to keep your balance while continuing to think and create your model.-----This is exactly what happens when there is no "Auto-horizon-locking" feature. This should be a function as basic as breathing in the real world, arguably more basic than anything else. All existing relevant functions (orient mode ) are far from "Auto-horizon-locking".They all require extra tedious and unintuitive steps. PTC has created an excellent product. But we hope PTC will pay attention to this missing basic feature that can
first time posting a question and I lack experience about using Mathcad Prime 9.I was trying to realize what I have done in MATLAB by using Mathcad prime 9. After judging the working range(time) , and calculating the corresponding currents, I hope to plot the result on a 2D sheet but find no solutions.
Hello PTC Mathcad Community: The ORIGIN:=1 command never works correctly for me.See attached. I run Mathcad Prime 10.0.1.0.If you have a suggestion to fix this, please advise. Thanks, thodij

I have run into this "Bad_Solve_Body" unknown error in my first solve block in the attached.Just to make sure that I can indeed construct solve blocks correctly, I tried a second solve block, and all looks well. Could you please take a look at the first solve block and let me know what could be wrong?I use Mathcad Prime 10.0.1.0. Thanks much.Joseph Thodiyil
After a computer crash, I tried to install Mathcad 14 (I have the license file and DVD) from the DVD on a spare computer running Windows 11 Home. The installation aborted with a message stating that not all files could be installed. What do I need to do to ensure a successful installation?
Heyooo, I needed to create a datum plane that was angled in a specific way, then offset from that angle. Usually this would take two plane features in my tree, one to angle a plane, then another to offset that plane. However I fat fingered my keyboard and while in the first step to set the angle, I entered an offset function. This gave me two planes the way I needed them, but under one feature in my tree. Does anyone know how this is done?
I have installed Matchcad 11.0.0.0 in my PC. I want to activate the purchased license. When I want to get the mailed license, the system ask me to get product code for Mathcad 11.0.0.0. Where can I get the code? Thanks Tim
I'm looking for a tool that removes all traces of PTC Creo from a computer system. Does such a tool exist?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0アセンブリ中にCtrl+Gで再生をしますが再生されないことがあります。なのでパーツごとに定義編集をすると最新の位置になりますが全てのパーツをやらなければいけません。また再生されないときにCreoを再起動すれば治ることがあったり、一部は再生され一部は再生されていない状態になっていたり。
I want to install Mcad Pime 3.0 - I am changing to a new computer.
I am trying to install Mathcad Prime trial. My problem is that I am ont receiving a installation email after submitting my information on your website. I have checked my spam folder and it is not there either.
So I have just installed MathCAD Prime 11 so that I can finally have custom units. So now I can get 'MPa' and mm as my preferred units, but how do I get MathCAD Prime 11 to evaluate a moment as 'kNm' instead of 'J' (joules)?
My Mathcad 15 license is no longer functions for last several days (offers to open License Wizard every time when starting. Despite pointing to correct license file, it does not work on next attempt to start). The same license file worked normally for years. The same license file works fine for Prime 5. cpuid.exe returns a HostID matching the license file. I downloaded a new license file, also not working. Nothing else changed on computer as far as I know. It does not appear I can get PTC support as a legacy user. Any ideas anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
