Hello All, I want information related to convert large amount of files approx 5000 to 10000 files from Solidworks to Creo Parametric. What will be the best option to do this? May be any batch migration tool or add in?Thank you.
is there a way to have a floating license and be able to remotely point to it ? would like to have creo on my personal laptop and be able to point to a generic floating license that is on our server AT WORK without having to team viewer in to my work computer FIRST and work thru my work computer. Seems to be slower going thru a third party approach.
Hello, I would like to pull the name of top level assembly name in child model or subassembly drawing.
Hello! Currently using 20.5.2.0. First time post from myself. I have been using CREO now for about three years, and feel like I have a pretty good handle on working with it. However, I am yet to find a way to create a render that has a .jpeg images attached to it. I have a CAD model with a selection of labels currently shown as .jpegs on a work plane which I have attached to their respective locations on the design, however rendering doesn't recognise these images due to them being on a work plane. Is there a way to attach these images to the CAD model rather than the work planes which will allow me to create a render with the .jpeg images showing? Any help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks
Creo 10.0 ....while installing software i am stuck in step 2 ....even after I entered correct sales order number it is showing invalid file format .....how to solve this problem?
Dear Simulate Users, I have the real material model of a plastic (PA66 GF15). A table - send by manufacturer - includes the Young modulus, the max.tensile strain, the max. tensile stress and finally the measured material curve: The dashed line (see elastic line) was created by Young modulus. It can be seen that the linear range of real curve is very short. The real curve begins to bend quite early. Theoretically the yield point is in the point of bending start. 1. But how can I define a material curve which approximates this real curve well? 2. Where is the yield pont exactly if the data table doesn't include it? Thanks a lot; Roland
Creo Parametric 7.0.11.0 and Creo Simulate 7.0.11.0 both are installed, I want to uninstall Simulate 7.0.11.0 only silently. I am using the below comment:Start-Process -FilePath "C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 7.0.11.0\Simulate\bin\uninstall" -ArgumentList "-quite -xmlPath `"C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 7.0.11.0\Simulate\bin\pim\xml`"" But I am always getting the below option, but i want to directly uninstall creo simulate only with out user input
Hello, i was confused when i looked at the drawing errors and the same drawing in my colleagues window. the errors were completely different.Could someone explain this? snap attached. Thanks, sandy
My company uses Creo to design large scale glass facades and other highly customized designs for the architectural market. Some of our parts are very special and some are typical steel cross sections. My company is about to purchase an OCEAN AVENGER PLUS DRILL LINE. The AvengerPlus requires a DSTV compliant file which has a .nc or .nc1 file format files. Does anybody have experience with converting Creo parts into a DSTV compliant file? Any help would be great. Thanks. Steve
I have wing geometry that I would like to have as one body. There are lines traveling the span of the wing subdividing it and I would like to get rid of them if that is possible so that it is not subdivided at all. They have given me some trouble when exporting the geometry for meshing, though I'm not sure why. I would appreciate any help. I have included a picture of what I am talking about. I have shrinkwrapped the file but it still has these lines. This is Creo (8) Student Edition.
Dear all, I have searched the PTC and this user community portal for help in creating parametric internal and external spline parts. There are many posts on these but none of them have a solution. Has anyone solved or found an easy method to generate internal and external helical splines? Thanks and regards,Jay
Hi everyone,I have a mechanism analysis set up involving three hydraulic cylinders linked to a common part. During the analysis, I get an expected failure, "The mechanism constrains could not be satisfied. The mechanism could not be assembled." I get this error because I defined the ranges of operation for the hydraulic cylinders, and one of them is going out of range.Currently, I have translation servo motors driving the motion of the cylinder rods. The motion is defined such that every combination of cylinder extension/retraction is tested (i.e. cylinder 1 is fully extended while the others are retracted, then cylinder 2 is extended alone, then 3, then cylinder 1 and 2 but not 3, etc...). These numbers are loaded from a table in the motor definition, and the only way that I know how to fix the constraint issue is to analyze the failure point and redefine the motor magnitudes at the time of fail.Is there a way to run the analysis such that the program will run without causing constrai
Every CSYS is mathematically defined in space by 6 parameters. Is it possible to retrieve these 6 parameters (XYZ-translation + XYZ rotation) in Creo? The XYZ translation is easy: it's just a measurement feature. But the rotational parameters are not that simple.Does anybody knows how to do this? Some background:I have a CSYS, somewhere in a complex assembly. It is defined by a long chain of features and dependencies, interconnected with parameters and relations. At the end of the road, I would like to know the exact position of this CSYS, with reference to the base CSYS.With these 6 parameters, I should be able to create a new CSYS, referenced to the base CSYS, and equal to the original CSYS.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Jeroen.
I have created a mapkey that users use for updating legacy Creo parts (Creo 6 and earlier). We are now on Creo 9.The mapkey checks for missing relations and parameters (including restricted) then adds them if they are missing. The issue is that it will duplicate relations that already exist. I put a pause in the mapkey telling them to delete old relations before continuing but we know that doesn't usually work. I also have Modecheck running looking for the missing relations and errors if they are missing. It tries to add them even if they exist due to the fact that they are in the Post Regeneration relations. The relations that Modelcheck adds appear in the Initial relations. The reason for locating them in the Post Regeneration was that it was overwriting legacy relations located in the Initial relations. It is causing a regeneration issue that Modelcheck flags. In my mapkey I have relation written to bypass a couple relation (these came from PTC
After interaction with Windchill check-in, a parent assembly demonstrates what I can best describe as a dynamic transparency. Tracking with view orientation, assembly component portions that would be invisible within a mating part are visible (with display style set to any shaded version). It's as if there's a dynamic clipping mode or transparency mode. I have not been able to determine what settings are in effect or have changed. Children of the parent do not demonstrate this issue. Thanks for any assistance.
Hello, I'm a newbie to toolkit programming. I'm exporting a shrinkwrap model through toolkit. I want to add a new name to exported model. Could anyone specify how can I acheve that? My requirement is, when I click a button in Creo, user prompt should ask for a new model name. Once I enter it should assign to new model name. Is it possible?
We used to have an easy option to extract one body from another, but I am at a standstill in Creo 7..0.8.0. I need to solidify (or fill solid with shrinkwrap,) an existing import body. Shrinkwrap leaves the internal cavity. Then I need to extract this body from a fixture to be made to hold it. These are complex castings and not easy stuff like cubes and cylinders in youtube.
(I'm using Creo 8.0.3.0. Thanks in advance for any help with this!)Hi, my situation is the following:I start with a simple single body part file. It starts out with a default PTC_SYSTEM_MTRL_PROPS material assigned. The density field is blank. When I access "Model Properties > Mass Properties > change", I see that "Assigned Material Density" is "missing" and I can't calculate the mass properties. So I adjust the Material Definition to have an arbitrary density value (1e-6 kg/mm^3). This enables me to calculate the mass properties, including mass and inertia. Next, I want to specify that the part body be 1 kg in mass. So I go to "Model Properties > Mass Properties > change > Define Properties by > Geometry and Parameters". This lets me type in a mass value of "1 kg", and when I click "calculate", it calculates the correct density, given the geometry of the part, to achieve the target mass. At this point I expect the new density of the geometry to a
Hi! I have a problem using the ProUITree function to perform keyboard input operations.Previously, I had successfully implemented the function of keyboard input text into cells using ProUIInputpanel and ProUITable controlscomponent. The documentation in the Toolkit Guide found the following related functions to implement:ProUITreeenableCellkeyboardinput (true)//Allow tree controls to respond to keyboard operationsProUITreeTreecellinputActionSet()//Set the response action for the controlProUITreeTreecellinputGet()//Get input textProUITreeNodeColumnntextSet()//Set text content But the result is that the operation function was not called after calling ProUITreeNodeColumnntextSet to set the text contentCan anyone with experience explain how to use these functions or provide sample code?thanks!
I am trying to post out a thread cycle through creo for a Haas lathe. On the cycle line itself it only posts out g76 g98 f20. I've looked through the post processor and changed a few things in the threading cycle area but nothing has changed.Any ideas? Thanks,
I just opened a ticket but this looks like a bug and I am wondering if any of you have encountered this and have a good work around. It looks like in Creo 9.0.7 its not respecting independent layer status. When I try and hide a curve in one view it effects the top drawing layer status even though it is not set as such. We just made the jump and have found some other small issues but this is the biggest one for us.
Hi everyone, how can I replace a dimension on the view that I want, instead of the view proposed by creo? Best regards. Michele Barile I want to place the dimension proposed by this command, but not in this view, in another view.
Hi all, I'm running Creo 2.0 Student Edition. Under Collision Detection Settings>Optional Settings, I only have the option for "Sound Warning on Collision". I'm looking for the option to "Stop when colliding". Is this a limitation on the student edition? Thanks in advance
Creo 7.0.10 Does anyone know how to search for sketcher dimensions or relations using the search tool? I am debugging a model with sketcher relations. I know there are two relations in the model that are sketcher relations from reviewing the message log of the part. Any search tool query that would identify the sketch or feature that is using the sketcher relations would make my life easier when dealing with these. Do not use sketcher relations unless there is no other way to capture the design intent required. It makes debugging models convoluted. The only sketch relation that is unavoidable that I am aware of is when the trajpar parameter is used in a sweep and needs to be controlled with a relation. There may be others, if you know of one or more post it here for reference.
Hi Guys, I want to share the model to the vendor but vendor can view only they can’t measure manually and modify it. Is there any option for this? Regards, Aj
