We regularly use image files on Creo drawings, we import them from the downloads folder. When we check in the file in Windchill, it loses the image because it is on the client machine. Is there a way to import a image file into a workspace so it will check in with the drawing?
I have a Sheetmetal part which I created using revolve option. I use unbend option to make a flat representation of the profile add 2 bends at either ends of the part and also couple of holes. Then I use bend back option to retrieve the original bend profile. Unfortunately, the profile created by the bend back option is not the same as the initial profile. This is shown in the attached pic-black line is the bend back profile and green line is the original profile.1) Why does this happen?2) Can I get back to the original bend profile?3) Is there another option to create this bend profile and add the necessary bend and hole features?NOTE: I use Creo 8.0.4.0
Curious what types of technologies people might be using to manage and distribute their Creo Parametric configuration? BAT scripts, PowerShell scripts, etc. HTTP/HTTPS connection Cloud file system CFS with content delivery network or replication Other? The company I work at is employing more external suppliers who will need to run the company's configuration of Creo Parametric on their machine. Until now, we kept everything on the local network using mapped drives. The model does not work if we need to support external partners, not on our network and globally dispersed. We are looking for a more automated and globally accessible way to update the content and have users connect to it To get started, we are currently evaluating AWS S3 and FSx with plans to try multi-region and CDN Love to hear about any success stories people already have with this problem
is there a "live chat" type support for creo? im trying to install a 30 day trial for work and i get as far as this load screen and it bombs out... not sure where to go from here?
I have sketch that where I control a particular angle with a parameter. The angle is between one of the default datum plane and a sketch feature. I am trying to vary the angle from 0 to 210 deg. When I try to update the angle from the initial 0deg, the model doesn't redefine automatically upon regeneration. Initially the angle is measured in anti-clockwise direction, but when I try to update the angle to anything more than 180deg, in addition to the regeneration error, the angle is also measured in clockwise direction, completely throwing off the sketch. I cannot go from 0 to 210 deg in one go. If I increase the angle first to 50deg and the to 100deg and then to 150 deg and then to 200deg, the angle would still be measured in anti-clockwise direction(the way I want it), but if I go from 0 directly to 200 deg, the angle would be measured in the clockwise direction. In teh attached pics, 0deg, 135deg & 200deg are what I require but when I change the angle directly from 0 to 300, it i
We have a few utilities we run in Windchill PDMLink that allow are Role or group to run the utility with Windchill Org admin access. In this way, we allow them to do an action without giving the users themselves the ability to run the action. Now we have a utility we would like our Creo users to run. The issue we face is that the creo assemblies use models from other product lines that one Creo user does not have access to check out/check in. As a result it would take a "super user" to run the utility as the end item level or many users at lower sub-assemblies. We would like to use the same kind of work around and have the utility pass on access to Org admin to run and check out the models and check them back in. Any idea if this is possible in Creo?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0I want to do a mass export of drawings to DWG-file format. Therefor I wanted to use the "Creo Distributed Batch" - Tool with a specific configfile. But we have some multisheet drawings and I want to convert all sheets in one DWG. Currently every sheet becomes a new DWG-file. When using the export functionality of Creo itself we have the tab "Sheets" where I can select "All sheets as paper space" and then it works as expected. I did not find any documentation to implement this in a config file for using with the batch utility. Is there a parameter which i have to use or any other workaround to achieve this?
While opening any model from my workspace, when I do "open in Creo", Creo application opens up, but it doesn't show any thing just black window. Could someone please help.
Hello everyone! I am trying to make strip from following part with all bendings and punch forms on it.When I try to prepare or fill article it doesn't flatten punch forms on bends. The bends with punch forms are also not affected. Is there any way to do that with punch forms or bends or is there a possibilty to select punch form locations later when doing strip? I am using CREO 6.0 and PDX 12.0 Thank you for your answers!
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0After using ProMdlRename, ProObjectwindowCreate, ProMdlDisplay to rename and display the model, the [Replace in session] window will be displayed, as shown in the attachment, if this window is not displayed, is there a config control? ---------------------------------Translated from Chinese to English by vnamboodheri using google translate. Hello, I want to create a table in a Creo 4.0 Paramteric drawing with (Excel) VBA and use the VB API.When I use the CCpfcTableCreateInstructions.Create() I expected to get back an object of type IpfcTableCreateInstructions (like in the PTC user Guide). But I get a object of type IDpfcTableCreateInstructions. So after many hours of try and error I am desperated. This is my code: Dim TableLocation As CpfcPoint3DDim TableCreationInstructionsFactory As CCpfcTableCreateInstructionsDim TableCreateInstructions As IpfcTableCreateInstructions Set TableLocation = New CpfcPoint3DTableLocation.Set 0, 0#TableLocation.Set 1, 0#TableLocation.Set 2, 0# Set TableCreationInstructionsFactory = New CCpfcTableCreateInstructionsSet TableCreationInstructions = TableCreationInstructionsFactory.Create(TableLocation) When I use the CCpfcTableCreateInstructions.Create() Method I get a variant of type IDpfcTableCreateInstructions back. Is there a way to control the orientation of wires that exit a bundle? I can't tell what is controlling the end of the bundle that makes the wires exit in a certain direction. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
We just ran across the mfg_param_auto_copy_from_tool config.pro option, and it almost solves a problem for us...I just think it needs to have one more feature to it to actually be useful for our needs. For reference, here are 2 links describing the option: https://www.creosite.com/cgi-bin/find_option.cgi?srch=MFG_PARAM_AUTO_COPY_FROM_TOOL&ver=creo7&mode=config Using the Cutting Data Supplied for the Tool (ptc.com) The feature I think it is missing is the ability to control whether you want to default to rough or finish for all sequence types, not just the finish for certain types, and rough for others as specified in the links above. I think it would be most useful for every Creo user if it were included as a popup window like you already have for this feature asking the user "Would you like to update sequence parameters by copying cutting data from tool ##?". The only alternative I can come up with is to use relations as mentioned on the second link ab

I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.6.0When the standard function server is online, you can only rename the model or modify the name of the model in memory through "File-Rename" in the workspace. I hope that through secondary development, I can make a tool that can quickly rename the models in the workspace (automatically perform the "file-rename" operation). There is no relevant interface found in the Toolkit help file, and I don't know if there is a way to realize this function.---------------------------------------------Translated from Simplified Chinese to English using google translate on 17th April 2023 at 11:42am IST. Hello! How can I use the Rule Editor to create a simplified representation that excludes items inside a group?I tried the config below, but the result was "0 items". 21-700_71-00_00-00 is the group's name, selected from the list. And what about a rule to filter a repeat region using the same criteria? Everything inside the group is automatically filtered out. Is this possible?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM140We are getting an exception "pfcExceptions::XToolkitBadInputs at pfcls.IpfcBaseSession.GetConfigOption(String _Name) at proetopdf.proetopdf.Main(String[] cmdArgs)" when used with a solid regenerate API.As per the PTC Support knowledge base understand that this issue is with the Creo 7.0 where the API is a deprecated.Presently we are getting this issue in Creo 4.0 M 140 and need your help in understanding the root cause and the resolutions already if any. We have an inconsistent exception now which is observed for few sample files only.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.0.0A client of our product (Agni Link, callable from Windchill) is now using the Creo Browser to work with Windchill. Our product (Agni Link from Elmo Solutions) works with Windchill and is correctly called when the user was using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. We had to add entries in the Windows Registry to make that call works (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome\URLWhitelist OR HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome\URLAllowlist) because our application is using our own URL protocol ( agnilink: ). We also support Microsoft Edge because the same policies entries exist in the Registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\URLWhitelist OR HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\URLAllowlist). What are the Windows Registry entries to use to make our URL protocol works with the Creo Browser (based on Chromium as Chrome and Edge)?
