I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.7.0Hello,i want to know if it's possible to add texte in a annotation from a part in a assembly drawing without modifie the annotation of the part. For exemple i import a annotation like Ø10 frome a part in my drawing assembly and i want to add ( ) around the annotation for see (Ø10) in my drawing.thank you for your support.Kévin Goasdoué
Hello guys, I would like to know if it's possible to apply a filter to a specific parameter within a table, as in the following example:I have a family table of bolts that includes various diameters and dimensions. My goal is to automate the generation of the 2D drawing using the rpt region feature, as follows:The table displayed in the drawing should include only the dimensions related to a specific bolt type, filtered by diameter — the dimension is a consequence of that filter.Other diameters should not appear in the table; they must be excluded. My version: PTC CREO 10
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.0.0Receiving fatal error encountered. A traceback log has been written to C:\Users|Public\Documents\traceback.log error when trying to open a file in Creo Parametric 11. We have tried old drivers, new drivers, dx 11, dx 9, opengl. When it works it has a black screen. If it loads a grey screen, we know it will fail. Here are the errors that I facedReceiving fatal error encountered. Hello, while working in Creo 11 and trying to display the sheet metal development using a Simplified Representation of the Flat Pattern, I am experiencing an issue related to Annotate tables that are set to Flat to Screen alignment. When I create the Simplified Representation for the flat pattern and have an Annotate table added to the Combined View (aligned as Flat to Screen), the table alignment becomes incorrect after the flat pattern is generated. Specifically:When I resize the Model Tree panel, the table does not adjust or move along with the change in the Model Tree width.– See image 1.When exporting the model as PVZ and opening it in Creo View Express 12, the table shifts both horizontally and vertically in the Combined View.– See image 2.I would like to know whether this is a known issue, or if there is any setting or workaround available to prevent this misalignment. Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions.
Hi All, I'm working with PTC Creo 8.0.12.0, with a 49" Samsung wide screen monitor and a NVidia RTX4000 graphics card. Allthough I'm very satisfied with the new wide screen I've got one issue I can't figure out. I would like to use Creo at the right half of the screen, while using the left side for documents, email etc. However every time I open a new window it's new position is on the left side with the size of about 90% of the whole screen. So every time I'm opening a new window I have to drag and resize it, which is very annoying. Is there any way I can get Creo to open new windows at the same size and position as the main window? Thanks in advance!
Hello i am struggling to add the new dim Parameter in another instance in the family table. Apparently, it doesnt like parameter names. i thought i could rename the original dim (A, B,..so on), add an offset, create new dim as a parameter, error "you have entered an invalid text string or a numeric value" apparently, it needs to be a number. what will be another workaround? Ultimately, i want use these new parameter (A1, B1, C1, D_1, E1, F1. G1, H1) in a drawing table. It seems that i have to convert the string into a number?
Hello, is there any procedure to export a file from 3D model .asm or .prt to a .html file that can show the 3D model in a web-ready browser? Thank you, Michele Barile
Hi, I am after some advice please. I am fairly new to using creo (have used solidworks, inventor and rhino in a previous role), I am trying to remove a template from the list on creating a new drawing. I have navigated to the folder where the templates are saved and this particular template isnt in there to remove, yet it is showing in the list as a n option. Any idea where it would be or why it is still showing?Thank you!
Hello everyone,I'm working on a project in Creo 12.4.1.0 where I want to use some intelligent relations to fast change some interchange components and their placement into an assembly.I've the following proof of concept:Where the different building blocks are placed on some premade coordinate systems. The location of those csys must change with height of the lower level component. The Height will be inserted into a parameter in these components. For this I wrote these relations:HEIGHT_1:1=HEIGHT:0HEIGHT2:1=HEIGHT:0Which works for this combination.Where the HEIGHT:0 comes from the red blocks. But when changing the second red block to a blue one, is where I run into some problems. As can be seen is the :0 referring to the session ID. (where the blue one is :2)Is there a possibility of using the feature number instead, because the order of the build is not going to change.Especially because this example is with two type of blocks but the project has 50 different types of interchange
Hi all,I am having issue with this not working. What am I missing?I would expect it to replace PHILLIPS7_8 with SLOT7_8It looks like it runs but nothing gets replaced This is taken from the example code. public static void replaceBolts(com.ptc.pfc.pfcAssembly.Assembly assembly) { // Current Creo session Session session = null; // The base bolt part model Solid bolt = null; // Family table row used to create the new instance FamilyTableRow row = null; // The newly created bolt instance Solid newBolt; // List of all components inside the assembly Features components; // Single component feature from the assembly ComponentFeat component; // Descriptor used to identify component model & instance name ModelDescriptor desc; // Replace operation object CompModelReplace replace; // Collection of replacement feature operations FeatureOperations replaceOps; // Instance name of the existing bolt to be replaced String oldInstance = "PHI
I am using Pro E WF5 and the keyboard is not working. Is there a shortcut that enable and disable keyboard in pro E?
Creo (non‑licensed Toolkit APIs):How to map ordinate dimensions to their zero plane in a drawing view?I need to identify, for each ordinate dimension in a Creo drawing view, which zero/baseline plane it references. I know ProDimensionAttachmentsGet() in Pro/Toolkit(licensed API) can do this, but I don’t have a Toolkit license. Is there a way to achieve the same using non‑licensed APIs (e.g., VB API/.NET or OTK Java), or a reliable workaround to traverse attachments/baseline direction for ordinate dimensions?

Hi all, We are in CREO 10.0.7.0. Since Creo 8, we can no longer keep the symbol palette open.As soon as a symbol is placed, it closes immediately. I don't recall the symbol palette behaving this way in previous versions. This seems to be the normal behavior of Creo. Is there an option to keep it open? How do you add multiple symbols consecutively without having to reopen the palette from the Annotation ribbon?Best regards Dominique
The traditional Creo Simulate supports distributed computing, allowing users to sent their simulation tasks to workstation servers for computationally intensive tasks.Just wondering if "Creo Ansys" supports distributed computing technology as traditional Creo Simulate does?
Hello,I have an electronic board on which I'm trying to create a surface across all the pads. I can with the projection tool into the sketch but this is very tedious. I did it on 3 pads to give you an idea, but the surface should be present on all the grey pads. This surface will be use in creo machining for programming a laser machine in order to clean the pads. I try to create a section then a curve from it but I can't fill in the curve...Do you have any ideas ? Thanks in advance
We switched to Creo Parametric 11.0.5.0 on Monday. Now we’ve noticed that when we save an assembly that hasn’t been modified, all the contained parts and assemblies that are in an older Creo version are also being saved. In one example, 160 out of 211 Creo files were saved. The config.pro save option is set to save_objects changed_and_specified. Even save_objects changed has no effect. The problem is that our document management tool “Workspaces Desktop” from the company Contact interprets this as a change and now considers all these documents as modified, wanting to save them or even re-index documents that have already been released. That would be disastrous.Has there been an adjustment on PTC’s side? This behavior was definitely different in Creo 9 and previous versions! It’s not related to versioning. That option should remain active. This is about saving files that have not been changed. We just tested again with Creo 9 using a different assembly. Same procedure: once with Creo 9, on
Hello everyone,We use Creo10.0. and Java Object Toolkit to run a macroA:~ Command `ProCmdUtilTrailTrain` < 2 0.118519 178 0 0 100 1920 0 0 1080 13 ~ Trail `UI Desktop` `UI Desktop` `DLG_PREVIEW_POST` `file_open` ~ Select `file_open` `Ph_list.Filelist` 1 `macroB.txt` ~ Command `ProFileSelPushOpen_Standard@context_dlg_open_cmd`It should call another macro - macroB.txt When we run macroA manually in Creo using "Play Trail File" it works fine. When we run it using Java Object Toolkit - RunMacro method, it opens the dialog but the last step - clicking the "Open" button - is not performed. If we watch it in the UI and click the Open button manually, it correctly calls macroB. Thank you for any hint.
Hello everyone,I’m trying to insert a brachistochrone curve into a 3D model in Creo Parametric 10 on the XY-plane using the “Curve from Equation” feature. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get it to work… The only result I get is a short straight line segment.The formula for the brachistochrone curve should be:R = 4.8 (own shoosen radius)X = R * ( T - sin(T) )Y = R * ( cos(T) - 1 )Tmax = 3.142 (= Pi)Can someone help me with this?This is what my result is:
Hi, I'm trying to build sample app using PTC sample code as reference. Is it possible and can someone help how to select reference surfaces for skethed extrusion. Selection:pfcSelectionOptions_ptr dirSelopts = pfcSelectionOptions::Create("surface, datum");dirSelopts->SetMaxNumSels(2); pfcSelections_ptr dirSels = Session->Select(dirSelopts);Is this done correctly? How can I use selections here:localElem.CreateSelectionElem(PRO_E_STD_SEC_PLANE, 3, curModel, 1, 4, newElems);localElem.CreateSelectionElem(PRO_E_STD_SEC_PLANE_ORIENT_REF, 3, curModel, 1, 2, newElems);Or is it this simple at all? I'm using Creo 12, but I do not think it matters in this case.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 12.4 and Datecode12.4.0.0We want to create a dimension table in the drawing which contains all the user defined dimensions in the drawing
Hi,I know I'm old and still use Proe WF4 + Intralink 3.4, butI have a question that maybe can be resolved.Even though I have Creo and PDM Essentials, I don't use Creo because I find PDM Essentials inflexible for my situation, but I've already explained the problems in other posts. This is the layer problem.I have a drawing with 5 or more views where I've customized the layers on and off.The layers on and off are the same for each view. With PDM, I swap a part in the assembly, where the AA layer is hidden, with another similar part that also has the AA layer. In the parts, the AA layer is always hidden.Once I regenerate the 5 views in the assembly drawing, the AA layer of the new part is visible again, while the remaining hidden ones remain hidden. Now I have to manually intervene on each view and re-hide it.QuestionEven though the two parts are practically identical (small, non-essential things like rounding and dimensions change), why does the layer reactivate in the assembly drawin
My colleague's computer can display windchill server status. My computer cannot display. How to set it to appear?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.12.0We still use a perpetual DIAGRAM license, by setting the 'enable_obsolete_modes yes' setting. We had it working a while ago but now we get the message belowHere are the errors that I facedThis functionality requires one of: DIAGRAM
Creo version: all versions are affectedWe have noticed that some users are unable to open Creo through the Netskope Private Access service, while others can. All policies and private app definitions are identical. The application becomes unresponsive, and users must force-close the window to stop the process. The only difference between the two groups appears to be the Wi-Fi provider they are using.Users who connect successfully and consistently are using an iPhone hotspot, while those experiencing unstable or failed connections are using home/office Wi-Fi or an Android hotspot. The issue is reproducible when testing with the same user across different Wi-Fi sources.Has anyone encountered a similar issue?
