Hi , I want to redefine the hole feature , for this I extract the element Tree and try to add element of standard hole parameter like Hole Series and Hole Size in same , But it is nor working Can you help me to resolve the issue . Thanks & Regards,Kunal Bidkar
Hello All,Creo 4.0 M140.Considering moving our model check files to a share drive using modelcheck_dir to give us flexibility to adjust them without need to deploy new updates to users.I've seen a few topics regarding the dictionary and user_words. It seems this file will only read from the load point directory. Can anyone confirm this is true?Anyone have success sharing a dictionary with other users? We could restrict write access in our shared drive to prevent things from getting too wild if needed of course.
I'm writing a piece of code to automate the exporting of stepfiles and I can control certain properties in the export-instructions (such as GeometryFlags)But I can't seem to find a solution to control the export status of the layers of the model.I know you can choose the export status of each layer if you manually export the model to a STEP file(Save As -> Customize Export -> Customize Layers)But is it possible to control these export statuses using code (J-Link/Toolkit)? (This piece for example exports the model as a stepfile: )GeometryFlags gf = pfcExport.GeometryFlags_Create(); gf.SetAsSolids(true); ExportInstructions ei = pfcExport.STEP3DExportInstructions_Create(AssemblyConfiguration.EXPORT_ASM_SINGLE_FILE, gf); model.Export(model.GetInstanceName(), ei);
For design reasons, my R&D department made a chamfer on a part and then made a circle on the surface.But... modelcheck, as defined, shows us an error: Entities without surfaces likely to be buried(1)If I choose the feature in the dialog box and click "Ignore Feature", I get this message:- Ignore parameter added to feature #4909.I save, clean up my workspace, reopen the room, MC again but... the error recurs. And if I choose to skip the feature again, I get these messages:MC_BURIED_SUSPECT - parameter already exists.Ignore parameter added to feature #4909.I would like to understand where the MC_buried_suspect parameter is written, and why, my first action is not registered with my part.Could you help me?Regards
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 6.0 (connected) Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.5.1用户安装CREO后启动报CREO AGENT未正确初始化,导致连接不了Windchill,已重装多次。 After the user installs CREO, it reports that CREO AGENT is not properly initialized, resulting in the inability to connect to Windchill. It has been reinstalled several times. Translated with Google Translate Translated by Corina Ionescu, on May 9th 2022
As you know scan type_2 works well in three axis surface milling, but if you turn to five axis surface milling, you will find type_2 doesn't work ,the tool doesn't go around the islands.it will create many retracts. how to use type_2? thanks!
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.3.0In the clearance and creepage distance analysis, when there are multiple parts in the electric net, it seems that it may not be detected even though the clearance is not secured. If the clearance of other parts is shorter, it seems that it may not be detected. If it is another part, is it possible to output the result if the clearance is insufficient for each? If the detected part is corrected and recalculated, the next part will be detected, which is inefficient. Translated with Google Translate on 28.04 by Iuliana Nuta
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 5.0 (connected) Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.6.0 If there are multiple sheets in one drawing (*.drw) file using dxf_2d_export.ttd in Creo Distributed Btach, please check if there is a way to convert it.I inquire if I need to purchase a DSM. Hello members, is it possible to change appearance of Surface fill to other color?
Has anybody created an ISO 1302:2002 Surface Finish symbol and is willing to share it? PTC's Creo symbol supports ISO 1302:2001 and there are apparently no plans to upgrade it to the current standard.
Question: Can a top-down assembly model that uses a skeleton to define all sub-part geometry be used as a flexible part in a higher level assembly (i.e. a part with at least one flexible dimension, a vardim defined at Assemble|Flexible or when Make Flexible is selected on an assembled part)? The sub-assembly in question (...3209) is entirely defined by the skeleton (...3211) as shown:One dimension is made to be flexible. In this case the length within the skeleton. Shown below this is actually through a parameter defined in a notebook declared in the skeleton and in the assembly that uses the skeleton. I've tried other approaches as well such as a local parameter in the skeleton or a local dimension within the skeleton. Seems when selecting the parameter I can drill down into sub-parts or grab parameters at the part level (which this one is). Results are all the same. When I assemble the part into a higher level assembly, I update the dimen
I can't seem to position the datum symbol right beneath the dimension. Somehow, is placing the symbol in the middle of the leader line.I tried config settings (gtol_datums to std_ansi OR std_asme_y14.5_2018) , annotation dimensions without much success. Any other tips? thanks
Hi guys,I want create a model tree like this post mention. In this few days study, I can create new nodes in ProUITree object via ProUITreeNodeAdd().But, when i try to add column, ProUITreeColumnCreate("dialog","mytree","column1",label,PROUITREECOL_LEFT) doesn't add the new column as expected, api return PRO_TK_NO_ERROR, can anyone give me some tip? thank for help in advance.
With the addition of the default material PTC_SYSTEM_MTRL_PROPS in Creo 7, ModelCheck's material_info in ModelUpdate mode stopped working. Before Creo 7, it used to assign the material you chose in models that didn't have any materials. The new default material wouldn't be a problem, but it doesn't have any parameters (density being the most important) which breaks mass calculation for assemblies. As written in CS326615, you can add density to this default material in your templates, but that doesn't help me when I'm updating old models. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to solve this problem? For now we were using Creo 6 to ModelCheck old assemblies before importing them to Windchill but I'd rather have everyone use Creo 7 only.
I am new to Creo (using Creo 7) and I recently discovered the User Defined Analysis function and I am trying to better understand how to use it. I created a cross section property analysis, which gives me cross sectional area, center of gravity, inertia tensor, polar moment of inertia, section modulus, etc. When setting up the user defined analysis, I am able to select cross sectional area, CG and inertia tensor values however data such as polar moment of inertia and section modulus are not available. Is there any way to obtain these in a UDA? Thanks for any help
Please help me clarify: So Creo has 3 Simulate solutions: -Creo Simulate -Creo Simulate Live -Creo Ansys Simulate Creo has 3 Flow solution -Creo Flow Analysis -Creo Simulate Live -Creo Ansys Simulate Is there a simple chart that goes through these differences? What are the benefits of each? What do users typically buy. It seems like Creo Simulate is an older tool, but the others are relatively new. Both Ansys Simulate and Simulate Live came out around the same time. Besides the fact that this is confusing (why do this?), it makes it harder on the consumer to figure out what to choose. It seems like on youtube, more people are discussing Simulate Live.
Dear all, I was trying the inverter tutorial (with no heat transfer) and I get an issue during meshing (Simulation mode).I've only italian screen, I'll try to get in english soon and attach here.Fast translation is like: "Impossible to get tessellation from input geometry. Check geometry. In case of external fluid problem use general tessellation changin 'tessellation type' and retry." Does anyone get this error? Thanks for the answer

Sometimes I need to get a drawing in inches and want to make a cad model of it. I normally use mm, so is there a way of typing in the dimensions in inches and have Creo automatically convert to the default (mm), for example with a specific tag or something? It's time consuming to convert all units externally first.
Hello Guys,I'm new to CREO and we are introducing a the CAD system in our business while already having an imbedded and running Windchill. For BoM handling we want to be able to maintain our FindNumbers in CREO and pass the parameter further to Windchill to maintain the Design BoM. (all not a problem with the correct server settings and parameter mapping)I was able to create the component parameter in our assembly template as well as also display it in the model tree. Now I'm facing two problems, one to pass a relation to every occurrence in the assembly and the other to define that component parameter properties to always be a "string" and "designated".Relation:Since we have some components (C-Parts) which have a hard defined Findnumber in their "local" parameters I'm looking for a way to synch them into the component parameter.I was able to do that via a relation on that occurrence in the assembly (see printscreen), but would like to loop that relation to every component in the a
Hello everyone, I am currently working on temperature modelling in tooling in Creo Simulate. On my current study, I would need to use the temperature distribution of the last step of a transient simulation as a starting condition for another transient simulation. I know that it is possible to set a fixed temperature or use the temperature distribution of a steady-state simulation as a starting condition for a transient simulation, but I don't see how I can use a result from a transient study. Do you know any techniques to do this? Thank you JulieFrench mechanical engineering student
Welding, Mold/Cast commands not working in Creo Parametric 8.0.3.0 (student edition). How to make them work?
I need to update my license files and can't find how to start the Installation Assistant? What is the usual filepath and name of the install file. This is an existing installtion. I've looked for possible .exe and .bat files, but am missing the blindingly obvioius. Many thanks, Sam
My goal is to reference a defined local "sketch feature" parameter from the "sketch section" associated with the same sketch feature. Intent is to define a sketch dimension to the value of the parameter.Creo help suggests that the way to do this is by qualifying the parameter name with the feature ID, such as: <param_name>:<feature_id> or :<feature_name>or perhaps <param_name>:FID_<feature_Id> or :FID_<feature_name>both forms have been tried. These referencing syntax forms are not working. Example: Sketch SK_123 exists with Feature Number 10 and Internal Feature ID 50 (obtained via Feature Information). Within "Feature SK_123 id 50" (given in the Relations dialog when "Look In" is "Feature") parameter ABC is defined. Within "Section 1 of Feature SK_123 id 50" (given in the Relations dialog with "Look In" is "Section") is relation sd0 = ABC:50 (or ABC:10 or ABC:FID_50 o
