Hello All, I design cosmetics packaging & tooling with Creo. We are looking to purchase a new 3D Printer (ours is cheap and prints with voids in top, flat surfaces). We are looking for roughly a 10" bed max and looking to keep the price around $1000, but can go higher if it means better precision. Any recommendations? Thank you!
I created a Local Section View and defined an area to show the internal components. One of the components will not highlight nor is it selectable. Not sure why. But this also means you can not attach a BOM Balloon to it either. Any ideas on why this 1 component out of 18 is non-selectable?
Hi all, its been a while! Does anyone know if its possible to change the cross height of a Z-radius dimension? The default height appears to be 5mm & is annoyingly large. I have been searching for a possible config option but have drawn a blank thus far. RegardsJohn
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM110Information contained within a hole table on a drawing. Is there a way of showing the blind depth of a hole in a hole table, if so where can I find instructions? I had a quick try using parameters but I couldn't get it to work. I am also seeing standard holes labelled as M16x2 when in fact they have been specified as clearance holes, the only work around I have found is to create a normal hole at a specific diameter rather than using a standard hole generated using the iso.hol file.
We are working on going from Creo 6 to Creo 8, and the first engineer I have testing the program has run into an issue. After you create your first Extrude, none of the options become available like Flat, Flange, Flat Pattern, etc... I'm in IT and not fluent at all in the actual modeling portion, so trying to figure out what might be causing this?

Hi Guys I'm working since years with CAD, since a few Months I started using Creo. So I'm sorry for possible wrong wording of commands etc., neither is English my mother tongue. So I was struggling with Notes on a Drawing until I've been told that those come from the Model as well (as the dimensions - my new company strictly uses that - this is very new to me... old cad had the function, but poorly executed) That's how I started to play around with Notes and Annotation Features to get the understanding & skill on a similar level as with the old CAD.So I came across a strange behavior, the way to reproduce is the following: Being in the Annotate Tab > Create an Annotation feature > definition > create a standard leader note.Select a point on a face > drag text field somewhere > confirm with middle mouse button > enter text > confirm with MMB again > klick ok to close the Annotation feature dialogue box. In the Detail Tree: Therefore,
Hello All, Just started using Creo some months ago and I would like to know if there is any feature similar to the design tables from solidworks on creo (excel file whose datum update solid model features and sketches and can de stored in windchill without problems). Thank you for your help,
It appears that this may not be possible, but has anyone successfully copied a feature out of one part by editing the pro/program, copying the feature, and then pasting it into a new part? When I try and do this it complains saying that there is no internal feature ID that matches the one that I copied and pasted from another part. I understand that there are more convenient ways to copy and past features, but for my own reasons if possible I would like to do it using Pro/Program. I know that Pro/Program can read in a design "from file" which made me think that this might have been possible. Maybe it can only change existing features though and not add new ones.
Per the post, I have same issue. No analysis features defined in the assy, no external refs, no shrinkwraps, no merges. Been using Creo since ProE Release 15...Never saw this until Creo 4.
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 7.0 (connected) Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.4.0Is it possible to activate/deactivate drawing sheets so that they all do not update as I work on one? We have large drawings and looking for any way to help with the regen time. Does creo have this functionality and where can I find it?
Does anyone know how to control what is displayed in the graph?I opened the run status again and the graph displayed Deflection vs loadI couldn't get back to the norm vs iterationI couldn't see a right click or anything in the menus,I re-opened the run status a 'random' number of times and it went back to deflection.I must have missed something. Thanks
I made a part by referencing an external copy geometry. I try to hide this copy geometry after the part is created, and Creo says the geometry is hidden, but it is still visible in my model. I need to get it out for a drawing.

I am using Pro/ENGINEER and Creo Elements/Pro Release Wildfire 4.0 and DatecodeM130I want to use the same relation using measurements of the model many times. Instead of repeating the same relation for each used measurement, is it possible to create a function where each time it is needed on the Relations it could be called specifying the value needed to perform the calculation. For instance, in Python would be something like this:#Function definition:def sum(a, b):return a + b#When the function is needed would be called like this:sum(3, 4)Result --> 7
I'm having an issue with performing repeated patterns on a quilt. Unfortunately I can't share much due to confidentiality so will have to do my best to describe. I'm starting with a 'base/origin' quilt on which I perform a number of patterned merges. Usually I model another quilt which is to be merged, copy that quilt, pattern the copy, merge the first copy with the base quilt (ensuring the base quilt is selected first), select that merge feature and select pattern which would automatically detect the previous pattern and do a reference pattern of the merge. However on this particular model this works once but when I try and do it a second time, the pattern feature button is either greyed out or the pattern instances are overlaid in a single point (seems to vary when I've fiddled around to get around the problem). If I create a copy of the base/original quilt and merge with this instead, the second reference pattern works fine (as do subsequent patterns but a copy
Hello, In the below code, where Assembly is a IpfcAssembly assembled in parentAssembly, why would it return "Object type mismatch" on the last line? IpfcComponentFeat asmComp = (IpfcComponentFeat)parentAssembly .AssembleComponent((IpfcSolid)Assembly, null); IpfcComponentConstraint constraint = (new CCpfcComponentConstraint()) .Create((int)EpfcComponentConstraintType.EpfcASM_CONSTRAINT_DEF_PLACEMENT); IpfcComponentConstraints constraints = new CpfcComponentConstraints(); constraints.Insert(constraints.Count, constraint); asmComp.SetConstraints(constraints, null); <--- Error Regards

Hello, I am trying to report line items within my BOM tables for harnesses and am having issues. I have been using creo schematics to generate logical data and then exporting an XML into Creo Parametric. Within Schematics, I am using a terminators table to specify contacts, wire seal, etc. This information associated with each port exports fine within the XML and I am able to call the contact wire seal data fine for a specific port using&asm.mbr.connprm.pin.signal.user_defined. I would like to include in my BOM the qty of each type of contact and wire seal that I would need in my harness. My understanding is that in order to do this, I would need to import a terminator table into Creo Parametric. I have checked and this requires a .TRM file and then you can use commandslike &harn.term.name&harn.term.qty&harn.term.user_defined There isn't great documentation that I could find regarding these tables. I have tried just renaming the .csv terminator file
Is it possible to propagate an appearance, defined in a multibody part, down to a dependent part defined by one of the bodies? For example lets say you have a surface and you want to shade it with two different colors in order to communicate two different textures to a mold maker. If this is done in the multibody part can it be propagated down to the dependent parts?
As per this thread - same issue Hi, I have installed student version of Creo. But it's not running, because of some license issues apprently. After going through the files, I can see I don't have any FLEXnet file. How to install it separately and connect it to creo.
I have been asked to look into finding someone who can come onsite to our facility and conduct a training class in Routed Systems Design. We are looking at doing the P&ID diagrams for plant layout in RSD and then applying piping to the P&ID. We currently do P&ID drawings in AutoCAD and want to replace that with a Creo related product. At this time, we are not looking at any automation tools or libraries, just the training for about 5 engineers to get them up to speed on how to create P&ID schematics and drawings with Creo. If you want to contact me directly, please send an email to: looslib<at>centrusenergy.com We are using Creo 7 with Windchill 11.1 M020, with Creo 8/9 and Windchill 12.0.2.4 being planned for later this year.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM140ECAD part pin holes do not import with IDX baseline. Mounting holes work fine. Is this expected behavior? Please see attached Creo > File > Options > ECAD Assembly screenshot. Also, see attached 3D representations from ECAD tool (Xpedition Layout VX.2.10) and Creo Parametric.
Hi all, This is my first post on this community forum, so I apologize in advance if I'm missing anything! I am working on an assembly where I have two parts that fit together with a small gap of 0.05mm. I am attempting to use the Mechanisms in Creo (which are apparently tedious to use in Creo compared to SW). I am using a 'Slider' constraint between two said components. I have attached a zip with part and assembly files. The problem I am having is that despite with a 0.05mm gap, it seems like Creo thinks the parts are touching when they are not. What I mean by this is in the image below, you would think the surface highlighted in green would be flush with the one next to it. However, when I drag the components together, this is as close together as they can go! I have no clue why this is happening. I assume it's probably some setting that I did not know to change. Any help would be appreciated! I have tried changing the diameters around, and I've found tha
Hi all, For the need of exporting a BIM model (using BIMDeX ifc exporter), I must set an export coordinate system located at a very long distance from the local coordinate system of the project. This export coordinate system is located round 2000 km in X and Y axis (don't ask me why !) and Creo 7 doesn't accept such length. The project is about 150 meters long with parts of some millimeters dimensions. Is there a solution to deal with such length into Creo 7? Thanks for any help.best regards.
