Creo+ and Creo Parametric

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM090License is showing available but unable to fetch while launching creo parametric.

@gfraulini i'm italian,I went from Creo 2.0 to Creo 8.0 and I think I have the same problem as you.I find it frustrating to have to constantly readjust the model tree width.I am doing several tests but I have not yet completely solved the situation.Have you found a way to solve the problem?Thank you.P.S. Hi all, When I start Creo (4.0), I let it open and execute a trail file to init some things, depending on the project I am working on.The main thing it does, is to execute 2 mapkeys.One mapkey sets the current working directory of this specific project.The other mapkey opens the main assembly of this project. I'm having an issue with part transparency appearance not showing correctly. The attached screenshots are what it should look like and what it looks like once I close Creo and open it back up. Any ideas as to how to save the appearance view where the glass behind is still visible?

I have old licenses of Creo 2 ( perpetual) locked to the computer host ID. The computers are dying and I am not under AMC. Is there a way to shift the license to new computer HOST ID if I am not under active AMC ?

when we call &today's_date parameter in drawing it takes the value as todays date. but when we check the properties of parameter it has became hard cord as mm-dd-yy instead of &today's_date. that means if we modify the file still it will referring the old date instead of newly modified date.

Hello. I model a car using the Style tool. I'm trying to make a rooftop but faced some problems. My way of creating the rooftop is to create two surfaces and make an intersect curve. After that, I use The Offset Tool to offset this intersect curve twice for each of the two surfaces. Thus, I create two curves on each surface and am able to trim these two surfaces and create a blend between them. Here's a picture to make it clear for you.          As you can see, for some reason the lower offset curve has a direction (from the top to the bottom) that doesn't match the direction of the offset curve higher(from the bottom to the top). I know that I can convert curves and flip their directions, but how to fix this issue without converting? Maybe I have some problems with the datum planes and references of my curves to them? Notebook/Layout Users (Creo 6):I thought to create a Notebook file to have universal parameters.I created a notebook/layout called aaa with a parameter called xxx.I created a part yyy and declared it to the notebook/layout aaa.Now it is locked in the part yyy as the parameter xxx.I create a drawing zzz with xxx as the model.In a note I create &xxx.One would think the result would report what xxx was equal to?No, it simply does not work.What am I doing wrong?WayneF🤔

As per this thread - same problem:   This started to happen to me on Creo4 M040, when I added the trail file to the startup command. It looks like Creo is not able to proceed with the trail file, when it encounters license message and it is not able to activate the license message dialog properly at the same time, because it wants to finish the startup trail file first. As I need my startup trail file anyway, I have not found any workaround for this behavior and killing the Creo in Windows Task Manager is the only solution left.

I am looking for users that have experience designing injection molded parts that are molded in a flat state but adopt a 3D topology in use. I have been challenged by some users to develop a method that allows for the design of the parts in a 3D state that can be flattened for mold design. I am curious to see how this may be handled in other environments.   We are well aware of the mathematical constraints surrounding surfaces that can be developed. This is critical to being able to create a flat pattern from a formed shape. Based on this we currently approach this by designing the flat pattern part and then "morph" it to the assembled form. Both states of the part are needed in the CAD during design for verification and validation prior to tooling the parts.   Some users have argued that they would prefer to model the 3D formed version of the part and flatten it when released for tooling. While this may be a preferred approach, I do not see how to do it without consideration

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150DXF Exports are not opening correctly in PCB makers' software. Another client was able to export it at M040 level and it imported fine. We are unable to revert to an older "M" version. Versions M100 and M150 both do not export these files correctly for them to open in Altium software.Another designer at our client was able to export the DXF layout with default DXF Export setting with Creo Parametric 4.0 M040 and import into Altium fine (title block displayed, no missing letters, numbers or symbols)When they tried to import the M100 or M150 exports from me (same settings), it was missing random letters, leaders were not aligned with the features they were to dimension, symbols were coming in as "~" for diameter and "n" for degrees. Title block did not import at all.

Hi,When I learn about restricted parameters, I notice that there is no showcase about how to correctly add <quantity type> and <unit>. I have attempted to create some files but they are not accepted by Creo.Can anyone give me some examples about adding quantity type/unit?

@PM_9971370 Ok, not as perfect as I'd like, but the misalignment on the last pin of the last link is only .0035" MAX (.0002" MIN), so, I'll take it since I'm just doing this for fun.  Should be good enough for now.  First off:   Caveats: 1.  I made links an easy 1" long, not following any actual standard for ANY dimensions (so sue me). 2.  I didn't bother to write a bunch of relations as to overall length by # of links, which won't work anyway - see below).  Feel free to do....whatever. 3.  I picked sprocket size by 2 different arbitrary # of teeth and used the 1" link length x teeth to determine pitch diameter, and used 34 links x 1" to determine the INITIAL perimeter length (which had to be slightly increased - see below).   Ok, so, I was going to try and use a bunch of 1" lines moving along a spline to ACCURATELY determone the shape and length of the perimeter needed (the BIG problem is that it CHANGES depending on how many teeth are enga
