I'm looking to create a simplified rep. based on part appearances. Ideally I'd like it to be an automated selection process. The simplified rep. would populate based on appearance name. Is this possible? I explored using rules & conditions inside the simplified rep. view manager, but could not find an option for "appearance." Any help, guidance or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Dear All,I try to write an application which creates an object with JAX-WS library, but Creo gives JAXBException. The same code works very well in a standalone application.I think that Creo cannot run JAX-WS libraries. I try to add jaxws library to the project manually but it does not work. try { EdmonWSSoap ws = new EdmonWS().getEdmonWSSoap();} catch (Exception e) { DisplayMessage(e.getMessage()); DisplayMessage(e.getCause().getMessage()); return true;}Error Message:javax.xml.bind.JAXBException: {http://tempuri.org/}eitem is not a valid property on class org.tempuri.CreateEItem{http://tempuri.org/}eitem is not a valid property on class org.tempuri.CreateEItemclass org.tempuri.CreateEItem do not have a property of the name {http://tempuri.org/}eitem Is there any solution for this issue? In the meantime, I try to send Creo BoM to our ERP application. We have a SOAP Web Service for ERP connection I can reed CREO data very well and all web-service classes a

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 7.0 (connected) 7.0 7.0.5.0We've enabled the "overall_size" parameter in ModelCheck, but it keeps placing 2 decimal place values for the parameter. We'd like to have three decimal place values generated for that parameter, but we haven't been able to make it work. Please advise.
Yall I have some pics in my drawing and model. In the model I created on surface. In drawing I add using ribbon for pics. Works great. But apparently they are linked from whence they came and not embedded? They are gone and I get a can't find response. I am using Windchill. 1. Can I embed them into the files? 2. If not embedded...do I need to load into Windchill? TX Wayne
I am using Creo Parametric N/A N/ATo import .pdf files in Creo. the imported object should be editable.
Hi, Asking for advice on how to analyse an aluminum honeycomb panel. The layup is 0.5mm aluminium sheet, 20mm aluminium honeycomb structure and a final aluminium sheet. These make up a plate of 400x400mm. How should I set this up for best analysis in Creo Simulate? I'm thinking the Shell feature would be the right way and make a laminate material. Should one then have the honeycomb as a material type, to be defined, or should one define a Laminate Stiffness and use that shell as the middle layer? Alternatively define the honeycomb material as an Orthotropic material and apply that to a geometric part representing the honeycomb core? Furthermore, any hints or suggestions to such properties, as I have not yet dealt with honeycomb structural properties? Thanks
Hi all;In our company we have set a policy to release 3d model before starting to create drawing and therefore system not allow the user to save 3d model in this phase . Our problem is that to create sections in 2d it creates the section in 3d model also which results to modification of 3d model and therefore it needs being saved ...My question is that how do you manage this situation? Is there any other alternatives to it?Please share your experience in this regard. I really appreciate your help.Sincerely yours.
Hi guys, I am using ProSurfaceSideAppearancepropsSet in my project to change suface color and I get PRO_TK_CANT_MODIFY. I don't think it comes from my argument, because it is not PRO_TK_BAD_INPUTS. Do you know why I get this error? Thank you!
Has anyone ever built a search query that will return the curves or surfaces from within ISDX super features? I would like to build a query that will find the curves or the surfaces that are within ISDX features but have not been able to find a way to date. The help files are nonexistent for this, so I am asking here. This is as close as I have found but it returns the Style features and not the curves or surfaces. I do not see any options in the look for selections that would enable this but perhaps I am missing something.
Hi there, I am trying to get rid of security warnings within Creo's own chromium browser, when visiting Web.Link enabled Websites (e.g. Windchill). Activating "remember my decision" only works until Creo or chromium is restarted. I tried web_link_security_autoprompt no but it does not seem to have an effect on that. Any suggestions?
Hi everyone, I need some help. How can i activate these navigations tabs Thanks in advance .
I am trying to create an intermittant weld between these 2 parts. My weld will not create and no errors are popping up. What is the issue?
Afternoon all! The subject pretty much says it all.. I have a table that I've saved as a template - all but two columns have repeat region symbols in them, and the last two are set as comment columns. When I change the Column Model/Rep of my rpt.qty columns, it erases the comment columns. Is this expected behavior? I've learned to do the column model change first, and then re designate the comment columns.. but that's extra steps I'd like to avoid. In my most recent case - I had the entire table, including my two comment columns all filled out and had to make a change to the Column Model/Rep, and it erased everything I had in the comment columns... Quite frustrating. Any thoughts are appreciated!
Hi there,When I save a sketch as a .sec file and go to my new part, enter sketch mode - there's nowhere to import the sketch?? The tutorial for CREO 2 says there's a 'File System' dialogue but this doesn't seem to be present in Creo 3, help please!!
Hi Is it possible to pattern patterned group of features in Creo? Patterning grouped patterns is possible in general but it does not help in this case because chain of reference patterns cannot be successfully built in this case. Reason is that Creo can't recognize two chains of references needed to fully locate sketched shape that is moved based on reference point and inclined by plane at same time when patterning.
I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.3.0Is there a way to push a matrix (3x51) of xyz points from MathCad to Creo Parametric?
Is there any way to disable, or at minimum override, the sketcher type constraints that effect the placement of balloons? I am placing roughly 100 bom balloons on a drawing view and am having issues with positioning the balloons were I want, because they insist on snapping normal or tangent, or so on, to features and components. Is there any way to disable this? In sketcher you could temporarily disable or ignore a constraint if you needed, by right clicking or selecting the constraint and deleting it. That does not work for the constraints that pop up while placing a balloon. I believe all notes behave this way, but placing balloons is where it is causing the most issues as generally things get pretty crowded. The range of the snapping, precision if you will, is very large too, 10 degrees in my case. I have looked through all of the config and drawing options as well as tried disabling sketcher preferences and adjusting accuracy of the sketcher constraints to
In assembly mode I have added a Jlink app to select then you right click on a part. Can I send the part name to this Jlink, so I can let Jlink work with this part?
Creo 5.0.4 Let's say I have an assembly "W". In the default appearance state, all the subcomponents are grey & in a new appearance state, lets call it "ASW1", all the subcomponents are various colors. Now let's say I have an assembly "A" which contains assembly "W". The default appearance state for assy "A" uses the default appearance state for assy "W". I want to create a new appearance state for assy "A" that uses assy "W" appearance state ASW1. How do I do this?
Currently in the process of trying to convert CREO drawing to SOLID edge drawings. Online I found some solutions, but they are all outdated. Therefore, my question if anybody knows where to find current migration tools for this problem. Thank you in advance!
Good morning everyone, I've been working on a puzzle recently, and I could use some help from the forum. I want to make a saved mold analysis feature to monitor the clearance between the waterlines and the geometry of the cavity block (see attached part model). The tricky bit is that my company differentiates between clearance to cavity and shutoff geometry versus clearance to adjacent features like threaded holes for assembly. In general, the idea is that the clearance between the waterlines and the cavity geometry should be a minimum of 5/8", whereas the clearance between the waterlines and any other feature should be a minimum of 3/8". Right now, I can do a global mold analysis feature and pay close attention to the coloring to determine if my clearance is okay for the specific features I'm checking, or I can specify a single reference surface to measure clearances from. What I'd really like to do is make intent reference objects to collect the surfa
I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.2.0I used a multi-body part to create individual part file geometries. In the multi-body part, I changed all of the bodies to construction bodies. I assembled the multi-body part I used to create the individual parts into the assembly so I can use the datum planes in that multi-body part to assemble duplicate individual part files I created from that multi-body part so I did not need to duplicate the datum plane structure in the assembly, and I would need to update in both places if the structure or dimensions changed. Since the multi-body parts are construction bodies, they will not influence the real assemblies individual part files or the assembly items like mass properties and can easily hide the multi-body part. The individual part files derived from the multi-body parts allow me to assign material properties to them but when I try to get mass properties of the individual part under analysis it is greyed out. Also, all the derived multi-body part
Dear all Creo Users,Sometimes I encounter fatal error in creo after some repetitive failed attempt of selecting or some unknown reasons. I have used the searchbar and searched the ptc community for fatal error topic and find that some experts are saying about traceback. What are tracebacks? Are these trail files? Can it help to recover part, assembly files? How can I recover my parts and assemblies and drawings in exact form after this error occurs. Usually ptc creo software completely shuts down after I click ok on fatal error.Any suggestions, ideas, discussions regarding this will be helpful. With regards,Soumya
