Creating a new Framework file in Creo 7.0.5.0, when I go to check it in, it fails to check in due to a ModelCheck failure. Looking at the ModelCheck reports and the file shows no errors or warnings. Has something changed with ModelCheck and/or Framework with Creo7?
I want to use the item reference numbers that are created with the BOM ballons of my assembly drawing to indicate which part is shown in a component drawing. But when I want to add the element number note, only code is generated in that note, as shown in the attached picture. This is what I would have expected it to look like:Does anyone know how to fix this, or whether there is any other way or workaround to display the same item reference number that is used in the BOM in the respective part drawing? Thank you for any answers and help.
Hello, I have problem when I make Press fit simulation in Creo Simulate 4.0.I have a housing (material aluminium AW6063-T66) and inside part laminated stack (M250-35A). There is interference fit between housing and laminated stack. I want to Analise the contact between Housing and Laminated Stack which is needed also by higher operating temperature. So I add a temperature Load of 100°C and 20°C as reference temperature. When I check the displacments after the simulation is completed there are the same displacements in time 0 and time 1. Meanwhile there is a difference in Stresses Von Mises in time 0 and time1. It would be logical that in time 0 there would Creo showed the displacments that are a cosequence of interferance fit between housing and laminated stackat room temperature. And than in time 1 there would be additional displacments due to Temperature load (delta T=80°C and becouse of different expansion temperature coeficients of Aluminium and Steel)Can anyone give me an
I am new to the use of EXCEL VBA automation for CREO 2 Parametric, but as I saw in some online resources and from the most of the examples, all the reference are applicable for the most in VB.net using Visual studio. Due to that, I did not find a workaround to translate thats example in excel, can anybody put me in the right way ? The main problem at this stage is "F = ParamObjects.Item(i)" result in type mismatch (Below an example of code that I tried): Public Sub Off_H() Dim asynconn As New pfcls.CCpfcAsyncConnection Dim conn As pfcls.IpfcAsyncConnection Dim session As pfcls.IpfcBaseSession Dim oModel As pfcls.IpfcModel '<-------------changed Dim compo As IpfcModelItem Set conn = asynconn.Connect(Null, Null, ".", 5)Set session = conn.session Dim pOwner As pfcls.IpfcParameterOwner Dim ParamObjects As CpfcParametersSet oModel = session.CurrentModelSet pOwner = oModel Set ParamObjects = pOwner.ListParams() Dim pro As pfcls.IpfcParameterDim pro_v As pfcls.IpfcParamValue Dim a A
Refer to the posted video for details on this issue. When searching for components in an assembly model I would expect both parts and subassemblies that satisfy the search criteria would be returned as found. I am not seeing this in a test case. In one query all parts and assemblies are returned as found. In the second query only parts are found. I am not understanding why these results are different. Can anyone explain why the two search queries shown in the video do not return the same results as found? The files needed to replicate the video are in the zip file (Creo 4 models). Hello,I am running Protoolkit customization on 2 different machines. The customization is spawning to the current Creo Parametric instance and fetching the parts and assemblies from Windchill server into local folder. In the local development environment it is working fine. I can get the files from the server. When I am running the same customization in the other environment then the function returns PRO_TK_E_NOT_FOUND(-4).I am using this function:ProEngineerConnect(NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, PRO_B_TRUE, 100, &choice, &handle); I also tried to add proe_session_id into and it is the same error. The same Creo version is installed, the same Windows 10 version. Can you please com up with some ideas, why it's not working on the other machine?
Basically as the title says, i need to put a thread penetration on my workpieces, but can only find a normal thread. The only possible solution i found was with beads and then afterwards putting a thread into it. I just wanted to know if there would be an easier way to do this? Should look basically like in the picture.
I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.6.0Hi: I created a button that displays "hello world" by creating a plugin (using OTK toolkit , C++). I want to be able to test the "press of that button" and capture the contents of the dialog box as part of automated testing. i.e. start Creo in a batch mode (no graphical), simulate the click of the button, extract the results and get out. i.e. I want to be able to "test" the UI functionality added in an automated fashion. Are there examples that show how this can be done ? Ultimately, I want this testing as part of some testing framework before I release my plugin. Can you help ?Thanks
I built a table that has a traditional repeat region on the bottom row but there are other cells above that that I want to populate with data from the component that is attached to the traditional repeat region.I created the repeat region on bottom row, then added regions for three individual cells above. It all works except I have to use repeat regions\model-rep\ and select the component 4 times to get the data. Is there a way that I can have the 3 header regions receive the component ID when I select it for the traditional bottom row region? Is there a better way to get the component info into those top three cells?
looking help about postprocessor ..it is a conversational PP of creo for TNC426 Heidenhain. the problem is ARC not generated in ZX plane by creo conversational PP of TNC426 please check pictures. in where the area of pp I need to investigate to resolve arc issue which is not on XY plane. right now any arc which is on the XY plane work well but as you saw the 3d trajectory path where the arc is on the ZX plane is not generated properly. I change CIRC_INTERPOLATION to POINTS_ONLY in trajectory sequence and the problem was resolved but I prefer to generate the code which is not on the x,y,z points base. regards
Hello,I am here trying to create the offset section but while creating offset section doesn't know how to attach predefined sketch to it, if any one have solution please help..
I have a hard time understanding how skeletons work. I'm trying to create a part that's supposed to be constrained to a skeleton but can't seem to get it correctly defined nor can I simply extrude to a different part.
What is with Framework now creating drawings automatically in Creo 7.0.5.0? It is annoying to have to go through our work spaces and delete these files and we certainly do not want the users to check this garbage into Windchill.
On an assembly drawing I have to show a list of its components. But I need specify names and numbers of the Windchill's parts which the models linked to as OWNER.Windchill adds some parameters to CAD model during upload. So I can see parameters like PTC_WM_CREATED_ON, PTC_WM_REVISION, and so on.I have found these parameters in Windchill 10 > Site/Organization Preference Management > Mapping System Attributes and File PropertiesI can see some extra parameters in the same list which may meet my needs: PTC_WM_PART_NAME, PTC_WM_PART_NUMBER (Description : Identifies the name of the property in the CAD tool that shows the CAD Document's "Owner" associated Part Number. The value may be set to a CAD System Attribute. The default value is PTC_WM_PART_NUMBER.)The problem is that I can not find these parameters (PTC_WM_PART_NAME, PTC_WM_PART_NUMBER) in Creo model. If I try to add parameter with any of these names to Creo model I have the message that this names are reserved. Is this bug? Or
Haithis is brunoSr,Application Engineer,Mind power,PTC-Chanell partner\In pro-E 5 i have used "purge" in command promt to avoid repeted versionsbut i couldn't the same in Creo-2.0My question is,why the Software creating old versions, hence its occupies and create unwanted filesor is there any intention beyond this concept,,,,,1.how can i control systematically to delete or avoid this old versions or repeted versions,,2.Explain the procedure "purge" in Creo-2.0 Parametric........This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello,I am trying to create offset section but after creating section the feature is getting failed and failure info shows"Feature: Failed regeneration. Feature geometry can not be restored. Reasone for failure- Feature aborted: Cannot recreate internal datum."Please help if Anyone have solutions to this problem.
I need certificate form PTC for creo.I need to know how to apply.Exam fee.I need to know exam model questions. Please answer to my question.
Hi, I have a PC with GeForce RTX3060 and I use Creo 4.0.I borrowed a 30-day trial license of Simulation Live, but it is too slow on my computerIf I clik the simulation tab, it takes about 10mins to turn on and the simulation process also takes about 10mins.Both of them should be done within a minute. I asked the sales person about it but he just keeps saying "Simulation Live is not compatible with your graphic card".I looked up the requirements of Simulation Live and found that it only supports up to Pascal architecture(GeForce GTX),but RTX is Ampere architecture. I wonder if anyone has the same issue but has solved the problem.
I have saved an assembly in multiple views as annotation sets. For each annotation set, certain parts are in a different position. Viewing the annotation sets one after the other produces a kind of stop motion effect that shows a disassembly of the parts. How can I create an animation from these six or so annotation sets? I can't seem to figure that out from the rather brief instructions in the support center. Namely, every time I click on the next annotation set in animation mode in order to record that next annotation set, the animation mode instead gets terminated? Edit:Now I seem even to have damaged the transitions between some of my annotation sets, by trying to make sense of the commands in the animation ribbon! With these transitions, the parts don't move smoothly anymore when changing between annotation sets, but instead jump sharply. HELP
Creo 2.0 how do you export an assembly BOM into Excel?
Hello All,I am trying to develop a feel for the behaviour of Creo3.0's finite friction. So starting with a simple model Text book concludes no sliding.Reality tells us that the pressure distribution is not like the text book Amongst other things, the load pulling the green block acts a distance above the surface and not in the surface. It's this estimate of reality we want.We know that the blocks are elastic (even though they are steel) and therefore one should expect a high (theoretically enormous) stress around the perimeter of the green block ... and maybe in part where problems begin. The values chosen should ensure no sliding.I used brick elements (tets give poor pressure plots and bricks provide a more 'stable' solution)The problem is very 'sensitive' to the initial time step.It will not solve using the default 0-1 ramp function with much oscillation of the residual norm, contact area reducing to zero followed by bisection after bisection then failing. The load fa
Hello,I am here trying to create a offset section feature in model using ProXSceOffsetCreate() but getting error. I need it for crossSection view in drawing. Please help if any one have solution of it.
I am using Creo Parametric 6.0 version 6.0.6.02 Of our users are having issues with Creo Simulate within Creo Parametric. When they want to start simulate, they get the message (on the bottom left) that 'Creo Simulate is not installed'We have tried several things like:- Reinstalling the computer- Deleting windows profile for the user- New hardware- Checked the licenseEvery time, after deleting/new windows profile, the issue is gone but returns after a few days/weeks.Whenever I do 'Run as different user' on Creo, simulate works again. We have over 20 users that have no issues, and they have the exact same installation.I'm kind of out of things to try at this point. Do you have any suggestions that we could try? Here are the errors that I faced:Creo Simulate is not installed
Dear PTC-Community,I am trying to use a curve for creating airfoils. My geometry requires a smooth curve. My control points have to refer to points, which I referenced by parameters. So, I want to change the spline geometry with points, which are referenced by parameters. For a smooth curve, I try to use G3-curves. However, with using splines I get kinks in the curve since splines do not have the G3 continuity feature. If I try the Style Tool, I can use ISDC degree 5 curves, but I cannot reference my points. Only the start and end point are snapped by holding the shift key, but not the other points in between them.Is there a feature to model the spline as a G3-curves or to reference the control points of a style curve?Greetings
