I want to use toolkit to link a components list which corresponding .prt files are located in WindChill. Once user choose one component from the list for assembly, after retrieving the model, I want to let it in the Component Placement status like below picture. Would like to ask is there any API can achieve this? Thanks a lot.
Hello, I am trying to free up some disc space on my PC and am trying to figure out if I am able to delete any of the files within the Temp folder on my C drive. There are a number of .cab files that I can not really find out what they are for. Am I able to delete those without causing any issues or is there anything else I can delete to free up space? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

In many companies, and even in industries, there are some "rules" to apply colors to some features, and specially to holes. Now I paint holes with mapkeys. But if the pattern adds a new instance, the newly created hole needs to be repainted. Any one knows how to replicate the colors of the newly created holes? Any app? Any workflow?

Recently had to add an additional configuration to my drawing BOM and running into an issue regarding bulk items. I've set my cell value to rpt.qty for both -1 and -2 config QTY columns so that I can use Repeat Region > Column Model/Rep to dictate the quantity configuration. My issue is that I can no longer use my previous relation to force quantity to AR in the case of a Bulk Item: IF asm_mbr_type == "BULK ITEM"qty = "AR"ELSEqty = rpt_qtyENDIF
Good morning everyone ,I have encountered a problem on the reference viewer In particular, when I find a dummy reference, or geometry backup, I see the prt and asm it points to, but I don't see the feature. (see image) Only the geometry backup ID xxx calls me. By expanding the popup I see the backup reference graphically. Unfortunately I haven't found an analytical system to locate the geometry backup in the model tree, net of going to info feature, but it seems a bit cumbersome. I tried the finder, but without success. The only way is to expand the whole model tree and scroll. Is there an alternative solution?
Hello everyone! Hi, We would like to know if there is a way to get metrics on floating Creo license usage. For instance, max number of licenses used at any given time in the last year, average number of licenses being used, which licenses have not been used, etc. Information like this could help us get a better understanding of our license usage to determine what we really need and what we should be buying.

Is it possible to vary a tapped hole size in a family table? I have a family table of a hub where the key size varies by F.T. instance. A tapped hole for a set screw over the key also varies based on key size. If I define a standard tapped hole, is it possible to change the thread in the family table? (i.e. if the Generic has a 1/4-20 thread, can I have an instance with a 3/8-16 thread?) Thanks!
I am using Creo Parametric 3.0 M170HOW TO FETCH DRAWING PARAMETERS IN DRAWING NOTE OR TABLE..?Here are the errors that I faced Need to fetch the drawing parameters such as "DRAWN BY"' ,"PART NUMBER" , "PTC WM LIFECYCLE STATE" etc. into Drawing.
Does anyone know what happened to the STL export dialogue box? It used to offer the ability to modify the Chord Height (etc.) before creating the file. Is that not an option anymore? My only concern is that, sometimes in the past, going with the minimum would give an unusable file. If I can't change it for the 1% of the time I need to, that could be a problem. Thanks,
After I complete my model and create tool path with Creo Manufacturing file, OR while creating CL file, I want to scale my model by 0.5 (due to using same program in different machine), but only in X-value (Diameter) and not in Z-value (height)! There is a scaling option given, but it scale the CL file both in X and Z direction by 0.5, which is not solving my problems. Can someone help me, if there is a way out here?
Today, we’re launching the Creo edition of the PTC Community Spotlights which launched last month in the ThingWorx Community. Here’s where we have a chance to learn a bit more about our most active community members: who they are, the products they use, and what they like about being a member of the PTC Community. I, Ruth Morss, am your guest host on this Creo Parametric Tips board. Normally, I write Creo product collateral, but when Cat and Jaime Lee gave me the chance to get to know a community member, I grabbed it. The first community member in our Creo Community spotlight series is Thom Braxton who goes by the handle @tbraxton. He is most active on the Creo Parametric 3D Part & Assembly Design Forum. Thom has been a member of the PTC/USER industrial design and surfacing technical committee through 2002 and got involved again in 2019 to have the chance to influence Creo’s development. This TC is responsible for core s

Why is my screw not displayed in the hole? It looks like the drilling has a higher priority. Can someone help me?
Is this possbile? I have a single part file with 20 bodies within and would like to view it exploded like you can in a standard assembly
I created a BOM with two configurations (two different models) and have a few issues I'm looking to find solutions for. Right now the QTY column is blank where no quantity exists. When i try to Repeat Region>Dash Index, I get the message: "Select a text which contains rpt.index or rpt.qty." followed by "Not a valid report symbol to be dashed. Select again." after trying to select the blank cell to be "-". When I switch symbols, i still see rpt.qty in this column, but as I click on it this switches to qty.m560r0. How can I get around this? After adding the new config qty column, all parts for the -2 config are now at the end of my BOM, effectively breaking my initial part number structure. Can i get them back into their initial place without using fix index? Adding a new -2 config column breaks my relation the removes a specified cage code. It still removes the specified cage code, but also removes a few others that aren't specified while keeping a few. Seems a b

I have a part with two bodies and multiple combined states. I want to control visibility of one body by switching to a specific combined state. I have finally mangaed to do that via layers and layer states within the part. Any ideas how this might work for an assembly? I assembly the part with the two bodies, but have not found a way to make a body of the component persistently invisible. Any ideas?
Hello, I am controlling a component pattern in an assembly in Pro Program with a statement such as - If Pattern_table:fid_2250="4_ejector_pins" When the option of not having those components in the assembly is created in relations If Pattern_table:fid_2250="no_ejector_pins", the cut features made by those components in additional components in the assembly fail due to the components not being there. Can these surface cuts in the assembly parts be suppressed by a statement in relations or pro program when the component pattern is removed? thank you.
