Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Dear PTC Support Team,I am reaching out for assistance with an issue I’m experiencing while trying to activate a license using your License Indicator. I received an order number from my university and have been trying to generate a valid license based on that.While I am able to request the license and it does appear in my files, the status is always shown as “Not Eligible.” I have already attempted several steps to resolve the issue, including:Deleting and reinstalling the license filesCreating a new PTC account with a different email addressReinstalling the software entirelyUnfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue, and the license remains unusable.I would appreciate your support in resolving this. Good day.Has anyone encountered this error message in the log of messages?No relations have been defined for this model.I am seeing this in a few of our programs but cannot seem to find any "wrong" relations within the various parts or sequences.This creates an extremely long set of log messages which cannot seem to be resolved.I have found this article from Creo3 (2015) but with zero answer to this specific message inside, despite mentioning it... Currently on Creo 9.https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS196584If there are no relations and it  provides this error, is Creo indicating a requirement for relations in the sequences?Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello, recently I am using CREO parametric 11 for a project, and I have found useful STEP files online that I need. However, when importing they seem to lose many features and even the ability to edit them in basic ways. Is there a way to import STEP files so that they can be edited?

Would anyone care to comment on the Mold Machining Extension (MMX)?  What does it offer over and above what is in the NC complete set module for 3 axis milling?

Hello Creo experts,I have a question regarding volume milling. I have often chosen to use rough or HSM sequences instead of volume milling for roughing operations. However, I've noticed that the cycle time for HSM and rough sequences is not as good as I expected. Despite being named high-speed milling, the cycle time is actually longer than the volume milling cycle for the same pocket size. Can you please advise on the parameters I may be missing to achieve a shorter cycle time compared to volume milling on the same size pocket?Regards,Asif Fisa

We use a method of joining to sheet metal using a process called tog-l-loc also known as clinching which cold-forms the part metal using a special punch and die to form a strong interlocking clinch joint. The result of the process is a round, button shaped extrusion on the die side of the assembly, and a small cylindrical cavity on the punch side. The clinch joint requires only the sheet metals that were joined. No external fasteners, or welding is utilized in the process.I'm trying to re-create the joint using punch or die, does Creo have the ability to punch(form) two sheet metal plates simultaneously in assembly? The thickness of both sheet metal thins out after the operation. See attached image. Let know your thoughts or ideas. 

Hi,I am using creo 9 and on one of my drawings I have a section view that isn't showing up. The section shows fine in the model, but on the drawing, hatching appears on the view, but it is not cut.  I have tried flipping it and using a local section instead of a full section and switching from a projection to a standalone view. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. the

I have an assembly cut that has stopped working no matter how much I fidget with it. I've tried redefining the planes in sketch set-up, reference planes, adjusting the dimensions, restarting Creo, ....   If I add a new cut, the cut works fine.       There are 50 instances in the family table, so if I can help it, I would like to not redo the cut.   Using 10.0.7.0 for a long time.

When you pattern a UDA the UDA does not update its references with the instance information in the pattern. Does anyone have any good work arounds to this?   I am making a isogrid similar to this challenge:https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Creo-Parametric-Community-Challenge-2-Isogrid-on-a-Curved/td-p/902365   The surface is a freeform surface and I have a UDA that measures from the freeform surface to the core pocket to determine the minimum thickness along the pocket edge and then creates a flat bottom extrude based off that minimum thickness point.

I'm a CAD manager for a large department.  Over the years the department has purchased CAD/Engineering laptops in batches, so the hardware/firmware/etc. is all over the place.  I'm trying to find a way with either a Docker ore Kubernetes, or something that would be able to run the same on every machine, I'm thinking of some sort of virtual environment that takes all the variability out of it.  Additionally it would allow me to sandbox software upgrades, settings changes, config.pro setting changes and so on before deploying to a group,  I have 20 drafters.  We run Creo 9, Windchill 13, but we also run Solidworks 22, and ACAD 24 on occasion.  Is there any solution that fits this?  I looked at VM's with a type 2 hypervisor VBOX, but it requires installing another OS in it to install the CAD software burdening the system even more.  I think that would be to resource intensive and the juice wouldn't be worth the squeeze.  Any advice would b

In drawings, if the added model is not used on the drawing sheet, it will result in a constant association between the model and the drawing. It is easy to cause the relevant object page of plm system to appear when checked into the system. Redundant models need to be deleted and re-checked in. However, when there are many models, they can only be deleted one by one, which is very inconvenient. It is hoped that multiple batch deletions can be supported.Another suggestion is to add some obvious prompts to inform users of the existence of redundant models, so that users can detect them early.The command menu is located at:Drawing > Layout > Drawing Model > Delete Model

In Creo:  Goal to create 3d representation of the following.  Imagine 30 golf balls (2” dia) on a rope 100 feet in length.  Balls need to be evenly spaced out starting from one end of the rope with a distance of 3 feet apart.  The rope with balls to be wrapped around a cylinder 2 feet in diameter.  The difficult part is to illustrate the tangent points where both the balls and rope make contact (interface) with the cylinder it’s being wrapped around.  Note the height and diameter of the cylinder can change to adjust the number of balls on the rope.  The target it to make both the rope and balls tangent to cylinder at touch points.

Hi,My company uses Creo AAX to make assembly guides which I have self-taught myself how to do them. I am using Creo 10.0.6.0 and wanting to know if there is a setting that allows me to see the instructions in the bottom left of the model area, it only shows the step number, exploded state and simple rep. I would like to see the description whilst building the guide to quickly see if it makes sense, sure I can edit the step then edit the description to see the description but that can build up as our guides vary in length 8 steps all the way to 28 steps.I want to show this without editing the descriptionso that it appears in this viewIs this possible?

Previous functionality had a "Reset Component Position" (I don't remember the exact menus) which allowed you to reset the explode position of one component. It put the component back to the unexploded position without changing its explode state. I just assembled a small component into a Creo 9 assembly, which, in the exploded view is off into space somewhere. Of course, that destroys drawing views, detail views, etc.. I have run into this many times in the past. PTC tech support is useless on the subject. Often I just have to create a new explode state to make it work right - without a bunch of useless moves which mess up explode lines and require a ton of work on the drawings. This all seems so ridiculous. Where did it go? Does anyone know where PTC has buried this very useful functionality? The UI fails the intuitive test, for both me and PTC tech support. I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.4.0How can the standard ISO weld symbol be used to show a staggered intermitant linear weld. When you add the values for num_of_welds, seg_length_linear and pitch_dist_liner the numbers cross over the staggered Z part of the symbol. There seems no way to move the Z or space the values using spaces to staddle the Z. The symbol is a standalone annotation in the drawing and not used with the weld fuction.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.2.0I created skeleton with multiple solid bodies and then created part from the bodies to build an assembly from these parts. In Creo everything is fine but problem occurs when I try to export an assembly to a STEP file. STEP file is generated but does not contain any geometry when imported. This is relevant only for assembly or parts created from skeleton bodies. Skeleton as a part is exported but does not contain all the futures because some futures are created in the parts. The first feature in parts crated from skeleton bodies is Extern Copy Geom with automatic update. I have tries use different export protocols but results is the same. Bodies is not set as construction bodies.Here are the errors that I facedWarning message upon opening STEP file: "Could not construct feature geometry"

My client are using Creo 9 with EMX 9.0 which has some configurations added on config file.Now Creo is upgraded to Creo 10.0 and EMX 10.0 is also installed.But when opened Creo 10.0 it shows error message of config settings file. Need help what changes to be made for using EMX 10.0 with Creo 10.0 Rahul Sardar
