Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Using Creo 4.0 here ...I have a 'handle type' part, that needs some edges rounded.I have a problem with modelling the inner round because it has to stop 'halfway', where the red arrow is (see screenshot below).If this part is produced on a milling machine, the round will of course not end 'abruptly' as shown below.There will be some run-out of the radius mill.How could I model this? The inner round, I have now modelled as a sweep along a sketch (you can see the sketch as the blue line). The mill run-out should look something like this: Kind regards    

Hello, I am working in Creo 9 and wondering if there is an option for bidirectional geometric tolerancing. I have included a snip of an example I am working on with polar bidirectional position tolerancing. I've tried calling the geo tol in an added dimension, but that doesn't seem to be allowed. If there is not a formal option, workaround recommendations would be useful. Thanks, 

Hello! My goal is to automate the creation of a drawing using parameters and relations. I have one problem left: changing a symbol without having to manually adjust the drawing itself.  I currently have 2 variants of a symbol, differing from each other like this: aaa-bbb-1 and aaa-bbb-2. Both are already placed inside the frame file of my drawing (outside of the actual drawing space).When I am working with my drawing, I am successfully able to put each symbol into a note by typing "&sym(aaa-bbb-1)".Now, my goal would be to eliminate the typing part and ideally have a yes/no parameter in my part, that activates one of the two symbols. I am able to fill out a note on my drawing using a parameter, but it only displays the text "&sym(aaa-bbb-1)" and not the actual symbol. Is there any way I can make this work?  I am currently working with Creo 6, but also tried it in 10 and 11. I am also open to switch to a higher version than 6, if there is a sol

Hello everyone,   We are trying to implement a method to calculate the distance between features through the toolkit. Our scenario is below : 1. Visit the edges of the Geomitems of the features to be compared and create an array. 2. Create ProSelection for the edges of the array. 3. Return the minimum distance between the edges of 2 features. (using ProFitClearanceCompute)   As the number of feature increases, it seems that there will be more loops and performance degradation may occur. I'm trying to create a button that exists in Creo Elements, but for some reason doesn't exist in Parametric.It hides whatever you click. This is helpful because this way you can quickly "drill a hole" in your assembly by removing parts that are in the way. Creo Parametric wants you to click each part and then go to the menu and press hide. I'm setting up a startup that is for editing the user .ui file from the working directory of Creo. After the user exits Creo, I want to copy that .ui file to a different location. I'm trying to use the pro_wait option to do this. My command to start Creo looks like this:rem ** Start Creostart "PF" "%CreoPath%\Parametric\bin\parametric.exe" pro_wait "P:\Shared drives\CreoWorkspace\scripts\startup\%CREOSHORTVER%\move_users_ui.bat" It starts up Creo with only one .ui file read, so I can ensure they are only editing their personal .ui. Hi there,it seems, that for all non-english installations and customers of Creo Parametric, the implemented and by default activated spell-checking is unusable.Even worse, when the complete text is red-curled-underlined, the text is barly readable and makes it easy to miss a real typo. I found this page, which addresses the issue: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS39069But unfortunately (and usual), PTC does not provide a helpful resolution ( "no plan to fix" & "works in IE").Does someone know, how to disable the embedded browsers spell checking or how to change the language for the spell checker ? 

In Creo Parametric drawing, is there a way of showing imperial dimensions as fractions but have the tolerance values as decimal? IE. 3 1/4 +-.010 We currently run V11

Hi Folks,Using CREO 7.0.8.0I have never been able to understand what the purpose of the radio button designated 'Copy Drawings' is for. I always have it selected when copying an assembly in the graphics window, but drawings are never copied, neither for the renamed assembly nor any of the renamed sub components. What is the purpose of this selection? Thank you.

Hello,   I have installed Creo Parametric 11.0 on my laptop (RTX4060 and  intel i5). now when I open the program I just see a black screen. I have already done an update of my graphic card driver, but that did not help. If anyone knows how to resolve this issue, I would be glad if you could let me know. 

I have few images in sheet 1, I want to move them to other sheets. I don't see how this can be done, please help me.

I have a problem with a part that looks like that while unbend: And that as bend: The problem starts with those small internal surfaces in the cutouts. They must remain flat. I have tried to use JOIN but I have an issue with it. There is an error. I'll explain in another reply or edit this on later. For the moment the question is, can I "split" bending line to not bend those small features?

Did PTC ever fix the volume not remembering it's name issue they created in Creo4 and (as far as I know) carried it into every version past? Last time I checked it was still there (must be years now) even though it was a known issue that broke the mold design package. 

Basically I am making grooves for a tiny coil of diameter like 0,5mm on a small cylinder body. I have made my 'groove', and revolved it around the axis of the cylinder and then patterned it using fixed spacing (pitch).But I have to manually adjust the length of the cylinder body sketch to make sure it doesn't get interrupted.Let me break it down to two objectives.I want the coil groove to be patterned automatically till a fixed reference edge/plane. The pattern cannot be interrupted midway unless it falls with 0.0Xmm of the seed pattern or 'whole'. (In other words, the last pattern cannot be broken or broken by a specified dimension 0,0Xmm. If it is broken then the wire diameter will not fit and that space is wasted.If this cannot be fulfilled, then the length of the cylinder is automatically reduced or increased to make that happen for the last pattern to be intersected by the given length 0.0xmm or be 'whole'/'undisturbed'.I hope it is clear now. What is the best way to go about this

Hi All, I'm currently using Creo 10 and am interested in improving how I detail standard holes, In the past I have put a lot of work into the .hol files and had some success with making this work, but I have a problem where the parameters used by the hol files do not pull through the tolerance for that size,  I think I have to move to building ISO style hole callouts using &d dimension callouts in a note or lead dimension. Does anyone have experience or access to a toolkit module that can help tie up the &d values for a hole, the info > feature dimensions seems to do this, but it doesn't tie up to any description or repeatable convention I can see, and there's no description link like what the Feature Element Data or "local parameters" table provide for the hole sizes, but not dim ref's. Many thanks in advance Dave.

Is it possible to create BOM in model base definition on CREO 11

Hi, This might be a basic question. I am trying to create a duplicate of an assembly with a different name in a different folder to the original. For example: I need the assembly name to be different but i want to use the same names for the parts but have changes in the number of parts between the two assemblies .  Assembly 1 - part 1 - part 2 - part 3 Assembly 2 - part 1 - part 2  When I try to do this with the save a copy function, any changes in the new assembly reflects in the original assembly. I know I can do this if I change the names of each part within the assembly but I'm hoping I can use the same part names.  Hope that makes sense, thanks in advance !  

Hello   I have created a tapped hole in Creo part file. Once I go to edit definition -> Shape, I am able to find option for through thread. Option is disabled for me. Any idea how to enable the same?   Thanks and Regards Ketan

Hello everyone, I am beginner on creo, my company is switching from solidworks. I would like to know the easiest way to change the thread callout. M4x.7 ISO - H TAP DEPTH 7.923.3 DRILL (3.300) DEPTH 9.900 - HOLE I would like to delete the (3.300) bracket and reduce the 7.92 to 7.9. ATM I'm updating it manually to every single thread feature and it is consuming a lot of time.
