Creo+ and Creo Parametric

HI all, I got a bunch of quite complex sketches, that serve as gasket centerline in the part. to better see them in the skeleton model assembly, I changed properties of those sketches to a random, different than default appearance. then, as I wanted to go back to their previous style , I've drawn a new sketch and in properties of the sketch copied the style from existing and selected that new entity.result is far from expected, as now I have a line, that is visible the same in 3d, but in different color inside the sketcher compared to fresh sketch. Any tips in resetting the line style of entities that were changed to default style without the need to re-draw all of them again  ?

The mapkey works when run manually and does save me time.However, I wanted to speed up the process further by using Creo distributed batch to run that mapkey on all the parts. I have  users that are having trouble getting start files. When creating new parts they only get the PTC supplied defaults. They also do not see the Pro/Library option when opening files. They are able to navigate to the Windchill templates manually and open so access isn't an issue. The config pro and sup being used are the same as every other user as they use a start up script. Windchill server is setup the same. We have tried clearing the windchill workspace cache and reinitializing the server connection. Any ideas?

Hello,I am looking for a way to calculate the number of unique component types (excluding duplicates) in an assembly and automatically display this value in a drawing using parameters in Creo Parametric.The goal is to achieve something like the red box in the attached image, where the number of unique components (e.g., ) is calculated and shown. I`d like to define the size of any random screw for my modelling purpose using an excel sheet. Is it possible? If yes, could anyone please explain the process of it?

If the surface is not flat, the displayed dimensions will differ from the actual measurements.        

I’m working on a project in PTC Creo where I need to plot hundreds of points on a curved surface based on predefined X, Y, Z coordinates. I’ve already created a table with these coordinates and successfully imported it into Creo, which generated an accurate set of points. However, in the Model Tree, the points are recognized as a Table Feature rather than a Sketch Feature. My goal is to have these points appear as part of a Sketch Feature to enable better manipulation and integration into downstream modeling tasks. Is there a way to directly import or convert these points (or a .pts file) into a sketch? Alternatively, are there any efficient workarounds or automated methods within Creo to achieve this? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I've made a part through surface modelling in Creo 10 that now needs to be solidified and shelled. The part has family instances of different sizes. The part solidifies succesfully (which also works in each instance), but I can't get it to shell. I've tried using the 'Shell' feature, but also by manually offsetting the surface quilt. The ' Shell feature' results in the error message "Highlighted surfaces are too curved to offset by specified value. Recommended actions: Make a quilt from good surfaces, offset the quilt, make patches over missing surfaces." Offsetting 'unproblematic' surfaces works (with difficulty) in the master model, but at least one of the family instances always fails, depending on the surfaces I exclude from the offset. If I remove the surface(s) that causes one failure, I will have an error in a different surface the next time around. Any advice or ideas for solving this? I would like to avoid remodelling the entire inner surface

Creo 8.0 UserWe recently upgraded from a Canon Tx-4000 to a Tx-4200 and we have an odd issue when plotting a drawing. No matter what size we print (Ansi A, B, C, D, etc....)  It will plot full scale to the correct size then scroll about 3 or 4 ft of excess paper before cutting. Almost to the size of an Ansi EX.  I initially thought it was a plotter setting because we did not have the issue with the previous plotter.   If I convert it to a .pdf and plot it cuts to the correct size. I also spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with canon and they basically told me it was a software issue. Hai all,   Please refer below. Here the Smart hole chart option "Show hole ID" will show the individual hole position when selecting the respective table raw. It will be great if i can select the full set of type holes (Example A1-A4) to see where these holes are positioned. This will be helpful when showing the hole details in section view as i don't want to show same hole type in multiple section views. please let me know in any way it is possible.     Best regards, Abhinand  

Good morning everyone I need to change the default values ​​of the attached image, regarding the screw passage diameter I saw that it is modified on the DIN13-1.hol file of the IFX folder, but the depths and diameter of the screw seat in IFX does not take them into account because it goes to get them from another place..has anyone already tried to make these changes? to not lose these changes it would be better to position them externally so that it is the same for all users if so how? Hi, Creo keeps shutting down because of this error. I have the student version and it basically says that it doesn't have "enough" access but I have already allowed it to communicate through my firewall. Plus, I uninstalled and reinstalled the diagnostic tool and it still won't work. I'll be really grateful ofr any suggestions on how to fix it. Thanks!Error message ↓ 

Hello - I looked high and low and attempted searching for this request online and within CREO 10.In CREO Assy you can select one component and change the transparency of that component - but when you go to drawing the view is monolithic - Solid or hidden but not hybrid. There is one component that I want to display hidden line removal to show features within the part. I tried Component Display under Layout/Edit. I went through the prompts - but nothing changes. Is this possible - and why so hard to achieve?I read online about Display States within CREO - but when I search CREO help I see nothing in CREO 10.Thanks for helping.

Is it possible to align tables to another tables or to view or any entity in drawing sheet?

Hello, we migrated from Creo 8 to 11. I have a problem in sketcher, those blue boxes around dimensions. Upon entering a value I cant even see the number. Any Ideas what could be the problem? I dont know if its graphical glitch or some setup/option problem.    

I am looking for a way to create a fastener with _custom_ geometry, meaning that the screw should have geometric features that don't exist at all in any of the IFX screw types. In particular, I am currently looking for a way to create a captive screw that would have the geometry of DIN912 but a captive thread (rod). See attached image - the existing dimensions in SCREWTYPE01 would remain, but additionally I would need a reduced-diameter rod size DC (to make it captive) , as well as full-diameter cylindrical face height DH (it may be slightly different from just a thread height B). I marked my new features and their sizes in red. Is this possible in IFX? I would imagine, I may use any SCREWTYPE1 part as a starting point, modify the geometry, add two extra dimensions as required, adding control of these extra dimensions in the .dat file (i'd keep the "SCREWTYPE  1" in the .dat file) and hope it would work. However before I try that myself I'd like to know if that

Hi I have a torsion spring which is modeled with relations to show it as near to real world as possible. This behaves correctly (as a stand alone model)  adjusting the diameter, body height etc, when the parameters are modified within the spring design. The working deflection range of the spring  is from 0° - 193° between the 2 legs.  When this spring is installed into an assembly and the spring is made as a flexible component and constrained by an angular positions in the assembly model. The flexible spring behaves correctly through the deflection range 0° - 179°, but anything over that, then the angular measurement is reversed. For example at full deflection on the assembly model 193° , the flexible component measurement analysis reads 167° ( i.e. 360 - 193).In the assembly model the spring then appears disconnected.There is no difference if the analysis plot is set to 0-360 or +/- 180.The only way I have found to gain the correct measurement is to manually modify

We work in a dual ECAD environment - PADs and Xpedition. We are trying to move to the IDX standard, but we keep on hitting road blocks, especially with holes. For those that use these formats, how do you collaborate with holes?   Some issues: Current Hole feature doesn't include any copper ring that we would want to be shown on the ECAD side when we send it over. Current BOARD Hole feature doesn't allow for ref des' to be placed PADS doesn't support BOARD holes, only holes in a 'part'. They also don't support MTG hole type. Which means every MTG hole is coming in as a PIN type. However, PIN types are not collaborated upon in Creo for IDX, because they should be coming from the components.   How are you handling holes with collaboration?

I used to enter &model_name:d into the title block.  We just upgraded to CREO 10.  I tried adding the parameter to the drawing even.

My team has been working at solving this problem for ages and we can't seem to find a suitable solution. Our fab shop uses formed part drawings instead of flat patterns for forming sheetmetal; they require dimensions for bends to reference the apex of a bend. This is normally fine, but when it comes to joggles, we're not able to come up with a method that works for engineering drawings and our press operators. I've attached a simple part showing the desired dimension and the dimensions that I'm able to achieve in a .dwg.  Has anyone managed to find a dimensioning method that produces the dimension in the attached "Model Example"?

Hi, I am trying to implement a repetitive tasks that opens a listed drawing in a new window and exports it in a different format. and that it can be stopped during repetitive tasks.   Work scenario) The repetitive tasks is implemented with a "for" loop, and the task of opening and exporting the drawing is temporarily implemented with the "EmptyWindowCreateAndDelete" function.   use a window procedure to respond to the user to stop during the task. When the window procedure window is closed, the loop stops.   This function is effective in loops. The TEST2 function works only with the loop without EmptyWindowCreateAndDelete, and when the user closes the window, the loop seems to stop in the middle.
